We were told to be watching and ready when the Lord returns for us and by using this countdown to the Feast of Trumpets as an exercise, we are doing exactly that. If the Lord returns for us this year and calls us up into the clouds to be with Him forever, I pray that we will be watching and ready when it happens. We must strive to be the wise virgins who brought enough oil to wait for the Lord and who were ready for Him when He arrived.
The wise virgins brought extra oil in case they had to wait. In Rev 3:10 we see the Philadelphia church praised for keeping the word of the Lord's patience...Rev 3:10Because thou hast kept the word of my patience, I also will keep thee from the hour of temptation, which shall come upon all the world, to try them that dwell upon the earth. 11Behold, I come quickly: hold that fast which thou hast, that no man take thy crown.
So we need to be ready to wait for the Lord and we need to be ready to leave this place immediately. There are many many indicators present in our environment that hint to us that the time is near for the tribulation/time of Jacob's trouble to begin and we know that it has been extensively proven here and by other brothers that the rapture will be pre-tribulation, so what does that mean for us? We need to be on alert every day. What happens if the rapture takes place 3 days after the Feast of Trumpets, will you be ready? What if its 3 weeks?
Probably the most dangerous time for a let down is right after a big day like a Feast day. We are watching and ready for the Lord's return on this next Feast day and we should be because all of the Lord's feast days have been fulfilled prophetically except the fall feast days. We must be ready for 100% exact fulfillment of these days but we must also be ready on any ordinary regular day.
It's 9/27 and so far the threat from ELE-nin has been nothing to write home about. Does that mean we can pack our bags and stop watching? Thats what foolish virgins would do. People complain that when one things or the other doesn't happen they give up and they give their minds over to be programmed like all the other foolish of the world. They give their mind over to expecting each day to be like yesterday.
If you are a believer all the proof you need that doom is coming to this world is the book of Revelation and the writings of all the prophets. There are no human writers that have yet been able to pen words so full of doom for this world. This world has a sin problem. This world has a rebellion problem. The remedy for these problems is on the way and it is a guaranteed fact that it will arrive at its appointed time and it will be very VERY traumatic for this world.
Would the arrival of some space body like a huge brown dwarf star result in some of the things we see written in Revelation? Yes. Thats why you see this writer drawing your notice to the skies. What did the Lord tell us to do when "all these things begin to happen?" LOOK UP.
Look up, thats what the Lord told us to do. I pray for you and all the brothers and my family and myself, that we will be counted worthy of the escape from all that is most certainly coming. Let us be those wise and faithful servants and virgins of Matt 25 that have oil in their lamps like the wise virgins and are found doing what the Lord expects them to do like the parable of the talents.
Lets be ready in heart and mind and spirit to wait another 20 years for the Lord to arrive and let us be ready to leave with the Lord tonight. We have been called to the patient endurance of suffering like good soldiers so lets do it right and do it without grumbling or complaining. Who knows how short time might actually be?
