The certainty of the pre-tribulation, pre-time of Jacob's trouble, pre-time of wrath, vengeance and judgement rapture/escape from all has been firmly established in this writer's mind.
Today as I was reading through the book of 2 Peter, I saw more proof of the pre-tribulation rapture of the church in the Word of God. Here it is:
2 Peter 2:4For if God did not spare angels when they sinned, but sent them to hell, putting them into gloomy dungeons to be held for judgment; 5if he did not spare the ancient world when he brought the flood on its ungodly people, but protected Noah, a preacher of righteousness, and seven others; 6if he condemned the cities of Sodom and Gomorrah by burning them to ashes, and made them an example of what is going to happen to the ungodly; 7and if he rescued Lot, a righteous man, who was distressed by the filthy lives of lawless men 8(for that righteous man, living among them day after day, was tormented in his righteous soul by the lawless deeds he saw and heard)— 9if this is so, then the Lord knows how to rescue godly men from trials and to hold the unrighteous for the day of judgment, while continuing their punishment. 10This is especially true of those who follow the corrupt desire of the sinful nature and despise authority.
We know with certainty from Matt 24 and Luke 17 that the coming of our Lord will be exactly in accordance with the stories of Noah and Lot. Noah was protected "pre-flood." Lot was rescued "pre-fire." In both cases the wicked were destroyed and the righteous were spared.
The "other tribbers" might be tempted to say "hey look, Noah was protected through the flood, so you won't escape the flood you'll just be protected through it." Wrong. Noah entered the ark when? Before the flood. Did Noah swim his way through the flood, was he in the flood? No and no. Noah was physically removed from the flood. How was he physically removed from the flood? He was lifted high above the earth...above the flood. Get it?

What do we know about the rapture? We know that we will meet the Lord in the clouds. When we are with the Lord above the clouds will we be "protected" and "high above the earth" just exactly as Noah was? Yes. It's an exact fit. We don't need to spiritualize and twist and contort the scripture to make our doctrine fit, it fits naturally and perfectly.
This world is heading toward destruction at breakneck speed. We don't know exactly when the tribulation will begin but we can see massive and unavoidable destruction coming to this earth and it is coming soon.
Financially the world is heading toward collapse. Thats not a matter of opinion, it is now a matter of mathematical certainty. We also know that destructive earth changes are here and accelerating. Record floods, record tornadoes, nuclear disasters, earthquakes, tsunamis, drought, famine and it appears that global war is just around the corner as icing on the cake.
There are three comets inbound to the solar system and close proximity to earth. Comets Honda, Ele-nin (extinction level event=ELE, ala "deep impact") and Levy. Look them up on google. The powers that be are even advertising the arrival of this cosmic doom yet most people remain content to bury their heads in the sand and deny everything. I write this ^^ to you not to give the powers that be any credit but to credit Him who promised what was coming. The powers that be are just stating the obvious, that is, when the Lord promises something you can bet that He will deliver on it...They know that, I know that, you know that, but many people in the world are still in denial.
What does this have to do with the bible and Christianity? It proves that what the Lord said was coming is coming. Read the book of Revelation and all the prophets. Wrath and vengeance are coming and will make this earth unrecognizable. A great deception is coming="aliens." They will tell the world that they created mankind so forget about Jesus and the Father.
Thousands of years ago, our Lord told us what is coming and now it all appears close to arrival. Should you fear? In no way should you fear. Noah was protected high above the earth, and the coming of the Lord will be just like the days of Noah and Lot. The righteous are taken out before destruction falls, that is a provable fact with objective evidence from the Word of God. There is an escape from all coming (Luke 21:36). Noah escaped all the destruction of his day. Lot escaped all the destruction in his day. We who believe and are "in Christ" will escape all just exactly as Noah and Lot did:
Luke 17:26“Just as it was in the days of Noah, so also will it be in the days of the Son of Man. 27People were eating, drinking, marrying and being given in marriage up to the day Noah entered the ark. Then the flood came and destroyed them all.
28“It was the same in the days of Lot. People were eating and drinking, buying and selling, planting and building. 29But the day Lot left Sodom, fire and sulfur rained down from heaven and destroyed them all.
30“It will be just like this on the day the Son of Man is revealed.
One last note. I was on vacation last week and I saw two different people from different walks of life that both in the same evening approached me about the Lord (we had spoken years before). They both told me that the Lord was working on their hearts and that they were concerned that time was short and they wanted to be spiritually prepared for what is coming. Amazing..most self described Christians aren't event in the same playing field with these people and they aren't even believers yet!
The Lord is working on building His kingdom. Time appears to be short and the Lord is bringing in the harvest. This past week was an eye opener for me. I pray that the two men I spoke with are now both believers and have entrusted themselves to the Lord. Although you don't know them I ask that you would pray for them that their souls would be brought into the Kingdom.
Another note:
Don't rely on your feelings to bring yourself to the Lord's feet. Make it a matter of disciplined effort. Don't think about it, just do it. In the days ahead you will not "feel like" doing many things you need to do. Take feeling out of it and discipline yourselves to do what must be done. <----This and what is written above are what this writer hears the Lord saying today.
