Ebola, Blood Moons, Rosh Hashanah

In this video we see that even the CDC full protective measures are not slowing ebola down.  Watch at the 11:05 mark or so where this doctor admits that in spite of wearing full protection the health care worker still caught the virus

So, we saw the first case of ebola in America seeking care at a Dallas hospital on Rosh Hashanah (9/26) and now that the second blood moon has signaled, both the Dow Jones and the S&P 500 are staring back at us with two black eyes.

What does this tell us?  What are the chances that these major turning points in world history and judgments hinge on the Lord's days and signs?  The world can ignore the signs but they cannot ignore the consequences of the signs.  The Lord is not going away, there are two blood moons and an Adar 29 full solar eclipse yet to join in this destructive dance.

The people of this world have become very good at removing every sign of the Lord in the world (for example taking prayer out of schools, removing ten commandments from courthouses, etc).  Lets see if they can remove blood moons from the sky?  Can they remove ebola from cities?  So far they have been grossly unsuccessful.  That is what happens when men declare war on God, men lose....badly.

Mankind cares most about their safety and security, nothing else seems to get their attention.  What do ebola and the collapsing of the stock market have in common?  They both directly attack people's most basic need:  that of safety and security.  Why?  The Lord will get this world's attention, one way or another.  What is the book of Revelation about?  Revealing........revealing what?  The Lord Jesus Christ.  This world does not want Him, so they make war with God.  How ridiculously foolish.

Rev 6:7When the Lamb opened the fourth seal, I heard the voice of the fourth living creature say, “Come!” 8I looked, and there before me was a pale horse! Its rider was named Death, and Hades was following close behind him. They were given power over a fourth of the earth to kill by sword, famine and plague, and by the wild beasts of the earth.

Am I saying we are seeing Revelation 6? No, but thats the really really bad news.  We aren't even to Revelation 6 yet and already we are seeing unstoppable plagues show up on the earth.  What will the final death toll be for this ebola outbreak?

What's the point?

Those who dismissed the blood moons as irrelevant have been proven to be quite shortsighted.  The Lord will be glorified.  He will be glorified in and through His people (the true Church) and through the destruction of the wicked.  Everything and everyone will play a part in the glorification of our Lord.  Kicking and screaming and resisting to the point of death, the wicked will bring glory to our God through their own destruction.  Not that our Lord wanted their destruction,

1 Tim 2:1I urge, then, first of all, that petitions, prayers, intercession and thanksgiving be made for all people— 2for kings and all those in authority, that we may live peaceful and quiet lives in all godliness and holiness. 3This is good, and pleases God our Savior, 4who wants all people to be saved and to come to a knowledge of the truth

but they chose an unwise path that path will be clearly displayed for all mankind to be the path of fools.

What's the good news in all this bad news?  Our Lord is being glorified, one way or another.  Mankind is facing one unwinnable battle after another for a reason, to direct their attention to God Almighty.

There is more good news for those of us who believe.  The Lord has made us promises, like this one:

Ps 913Surely he will save you
from the fowler’s snare
and from the deadly pestilence.
4He will cover you with his feathers,
and under his wings you will find refuge;
his faithfulness will be your shield and rampart.
5You will not fear the terror of night,
nor the arrow that flies by day,
6nor the pestilence that stalks in the darkness,
nor the plague that destroys at midday.
7A thousand may fall at your side,
ten thousand at your right hand,
but it will not come near you.
8You will only observe with your eyes
and see the punishment of the wicked.

Either we will stand in our faith or we will not stand at all:
... If you do not stand firm in your faith, you will not stand at all.'"

Our faith has always been a matter of life and death, most people just do not realize it.  Now events are going way beyond "going to church" then wiping our hands of the Lord for the next 6 days until its time to be spiritually "serviced" again.  Real faith, and real belief are going to be tested as we lead into the days of Revelation.

At the beginning of 2014, I asked the Lord what He would have me do this year.  His reply?  1. Be a man who walks with God.  2. Do whatever good your hands find to do.  How hard is that?  Is the Lord asking too much from us?

Miracles

The Lord knows the beginning from the end and everything in between.  It is becoming apparent to this nobody who writes to you that the purpose of the past miracles in this nobody's life were to build faith for the miracles needed during the days of destruction we are witnessing all around us.  The testimony this nobody has offered to you is:  The Lord's miracle working power is alive and well this very day.  This writer writes to you today as a testimony, as one who has been there and seen the Lord's power work.  Yes that power worked for me but it serves as a testimony to YOU.

What has the Lord been telling us for thousands of years?

Heb 11:1 Now faith is confidence in what we hope for and assurance about what we do not see. 2This is what the ancients were commended for.
3By faith we understand that the universe was formed at God’s command, so that what is seen was not made out of what was visible.
4By faith Abel brought God a better offering than Cain did. By faith he was commended as righteous, when God spoke well of his offerings. And by faith Abel still speaks, even though he is dead.
5By faith Enoch was taken from this life, so that he did not experience death: “He could not be found, because God had taken him away.”a For before he was taken, he was commended as one who pleased God. 6And without faith it is impossible to please God, because anyone who comes to him must believe that he exists and that he rewards those who earnestly seek him.
7By faith Noah, when warned about things not yet seen, in holy fear built an ark to save his family. By his faith he condemned the world and became heir of the righteousness that is in keeping with faith.
8By faith Abraham, when called to go to a place he would later receive as his inheritance, obeyed and went, even though he did not know where he was going. 9By faith he made his home in the promised land like a stranger in a foreign country; he lived in tents, as did Isaac and Jacob, who were heirs with him of the same promise. 10For he was looking forward to the city with foundations, whose architect and builder is God. 11And by faith even Sarah, who was past childbearing age, was enabled to bear children because sheb considered him faithful who had made the promise. 12And so from this one man, and he as good as dead, came descendants as numerous as the stars in the sky and as countless as the sand on the seashore.

Eph 2For it is by grace you have been saved, through faith--and this is not from yourselves, it is the gift of God--

Luke 18:8
... However, when the Son of Man comes, will he find faith on the earth?"

One would think after reading this ^^, faith might be important...

Through faith we are saved, and by lack of faith this world will be destroyed.

As this world circles the drain of destruction, let us remember our simple faith in a loving God who never wanted any of this.  What He wants is for all men to be saved, but men have chosen differently.

Today I offer you my testimony, the Lord can be trusted and everything He has said is true.  It is my testimony and your testimony and the testimony of all who believe combined with the blood of the Lamb that will overcome the enemy:

Rev 12  10Then I heard a loud voice in heaven say:
“Now have come the salvation and the power
and the kingdom of our God,
and the authority of his Messiah.
For the accuser of our brothers and sisters,
who accuses them before our God day and night,
has been hurled down.
11They triumphed over him
by the blood of the Lamb
and by the word of their testimony;
they did not love their lives so much
as to shrink from death.
12Therefore rejoice, you heavens
and you who dwell in them!

We are establishing a testimony every day we live by faith and walk with our God.  Our walk with our God is by faith and to the death.  We will live on the promises which we inherit by faith and patience.  We will bet our lives on these promises.  Either we will stand on our faith or we will not stand at all....

grace and peace
