The Godly will Be Delivered

2 Peter 2
4For if God spared not the angels that sinned, but cast them down to hell, and delivered them into chains of darkness, to be reserved unto judgment; 5And spared not the old world, but saved Noah the eighth person, a preacher of righteousness, bringing in the flood upon the world of the ungodly; 6And turning the cities of Sodom and Gomorrha into ashes condemned them with an overthrow, making them an ensample unto those that after should live ungodly;
The Godly will Be Delivered
7And delivered just Lot, vexed with the filthy conversation of the wicked: 8(For that righteous man dwelling among them, in seeing and hearing, vexed his righteous soul from day to day with their unlawful deeds;) 9The Lord knoweth how to deliver the godly out of temptations, and to reserve the unjust unto the day of judgment to be punished:

Rev 3:8I know thy works: behold, I have set before thee an open door, and no man can shut it: for thou hast a little strength, and hast kept my word, and hast not denied my name. 9Behold, I will make them of the synagogue of Satan, which say they are Jews, and are not, but do lie; behold, I will make them to come and worship before thy feet, and to know that I have loved thee. 10Because thou hast kept the word of my patience, I also will keep thee from the hour of temptation, which shall come upon all the world, to try them that dwell upon the earth

The same Greek word is used in 2 Peter 2 as Revelation 3:

of testing,πειρασμοῦpeirasmou3986an experiment, a trial, temptationfrom peirazó

Read 2 Peter 2 then pull up today's headlines.  Last night Obama lit up the White House in gay pride colors to celebrate the gay marriage ruling of the supreme court.  Such things vex the righteous today just as they vexed righteous Lot in his day.  We know how Lot was delivered and we know how the wicked who vexed Lot were punished.  The same thing that happened in Lot's day will happen again in our day.

A great deliverance is coming, that is a fact based on the Word of the Lord:

9The Lord knoweth how to deliver the godly out of temptations, (trials, experiments)

The Lord told Noah to build an ark, He told us to pray for escape (Luke 21:36).  What if Noah had told the Lord no because he believed in a "mid-flood" or "post-flood" deliverance?  What would have happened to Noah?  It is no difference today, we are told to pray to be counted worthy to escape all of what is about to happen.  Escape all of what?  Escape everything written in context of Luke 21:36 (Luke 21:1-35) is the context.

Noah built, we pray.  A door will be opened for us:

8I know thy works: behold, I have set before thee an open door, and no man can shut it: for thou hast a little strength, and hast kept my word, and hast not denied my name. 9Behold, I will make them of the synagogue of Satan, which say they are Jews, and are not, but do lie; behold, I will make them to come and worship before thy feet, and to know that I have loved thee. 10Because thou hast kept the word of my patience, I also will keep thee from the hour of temptation, which shall come upon all the world, to try them that dwell upon the earth.

Rev 4:1After this I looked, and, behold, a door was opened in heaven: and the first voice which I heard was as it were of a trumpet talking with me; which said, Come up hither, and I will shew thee things which must be hereafter.

The Lord is faithful, He knows how to deliver the righteous.  That is not my opinion, that is the Word of the Most High God:

2 Peter 2:9The Lord knoweth how to deliver the godly out of temptations, (trials, experiments)

How great of an act of deliverance was the parting of the Red Sea for Israel to cross over and escape Pharaoh in Egypt?  That was a great deliverance but great acts of deliverance are yet to come. What great acts of deliverance are yet to come?

Rev 12:13And when the dragon saw that he was cast unto the earth, he persecuted the woman which brought forth the man child. 14And to the woman were given two wings of a great eagle, that she might fly into the wilderness, into her place, where she is nourished for a time, and times, and half a time, from the face of the serpent. 15And the serpent cast out of his mouth water as a flood after the woman, that he might cause her to be carried away of the flood. 16And the earth helped the woman, and the earth opened her mouth, and swallowed up the flood which the dragon cast out of his mouth. 17And the dragon was wroth with the woman, and went to make war with the remnant of her seed, which keep the commandments of God, and have the testimony of Jesus Christ.

What do we see here ^^?  The woman (Israel) be spared, protected, delivered for the worst half of the tribulation period in the wilderness.

So....Israel who as of today still rejects Jesus Christ will be spared the worst of the tribulation?  What does Rev 12 say?  What does Jeremiah say?

Jeremiah 30:7Alas! for that day is great, so that none is like it: it is even the time of Jacob's trouble; but he shall be saved out of it.

The anti-Christ is being sent to a world who has rejected the true Christ

2 Thess 2: 11And for this cause God shall send them strong delusion, that they should believe a lie: 12That they all might be damned who believed not the truth, but had pleasure in unrighteousness.

So Israel is being sent the anti-Christ, Israel is being sent the time of Jacob's trouble, Israel has rejected the true Christ and yet..............she will be given wings of a great eagle to fly away to escape the worst part of the great tribulation (Rev 12:13-17).  Israel will be saved out of the time of Jacob's trouble (Jer 30:7).  So you tell me, what will happen to those of us who are in right standing with Jesus Christ today?  What will happen to us to live in faith and obedience, who to the best of their ability do everything they were commanded to do?  If Israel who lives in unbelief and rebellion today is given such great deliverances, what will happen to the Church during this time of testing so great the world has never seen anything like it?

The Church will be delivered.  The anti-Christ is sent to those who reject Christ not those who have accepted Him:

2 Thess 2: 11And for this cause God shall send them strong delusion, that they should believe a lie: 12That they all might be damned who believed not the truth, but had pleasure in unrighteousness.

The time of Jacob's trouble is being sent to Jacob, not the Church.

Jeremiah 30:7Alas! for that day is great, so that none is like it: it is even the time of Jacob's trouble; but he shall be saved out of it.

If unbelieving Israel is the recipient of such great deliverance in the tribulation how much more
will the Church be delivered?  Here are some facts, not my opinion but hard Biblical facts to rest on:

Fact:  The is an escape from all that is about to happen and we were told to pray for it (Luke 21:36)
Fact:  There is a door open in heaven (not earth the earth) proof positive that being kept from the hour of trial and temptation is in heaven for the Philadelphia church (Rev 3:8-10)
Fact:  There is a door open in heaven in Rev 4:1 (what are doors used for? People go through them..)
Fact:  There are redeemed and rewarded men in heaven in Rev 4:4 immediately after the door in heaven opens in Rev 4:1 (crowns on their head elders).
Fact:  The elders are redeemed men/people who represent more than 24 as they are from every kindred, and tongue, and people, and nation (adds up to way more than 24).
Fact:  The church cannot be found by name after Rev 3, Israel is called out by name repeatedly:

Rev 5:5 5And one of the elders saith unto me, Weep not: behold, the Lion of the tribe of Juda (ISRAEL), the Root of David (ISRAEL), hath prevailed to open the book, and to loose the seven seals thereof.

Rev 7:4And I heard the number of them which were sealed: and there were sealed an hundred and forty and four thousand of all the tribes of the children of Israel.
5Of the tribe of Juda were sealed twelve thousand. Of the tribe of Reuben were sealed twelve thousand. Of the tribe of Gad were sealed twelve thousand. 6Of the tribe of Aser were sealed twelve thousand. Of the tribe of Nepthalim were sealed twelve thousand. Of the tribe of Manasses were sealed twelve thousand. 7Of the tribe of Simeon were sealed twelve thousand. Of the tribe of Levi were sealed twelve thousand. Of the tribe of Issachar were sealed twelve thousand. 8Of the tribe of Zabulon were sealed twelve thousand. Of the tribe of Joseph were sealed twelve thousand. Of the tribe of Benjamin were sealed twelve thousand.

 and the examples go on.

There are multiple acts of great deliverance coming.  There is a great escape coming BOTH for the Church and for Israel.

What does the Word say?

2 Peter 2:9The Lord knoweth how to deliver the godly out of temptations
Yes He does!!  Glory to God.  Get ready, be prepared and be encouraged.  The best is yet to come.

Grace, mercy and peace to you from God the Father and from our Lord Jesus Christ.
