Looking For That Blessed Hope

If there is one thing I can agree with the post-trib/pre-wrath crowd on, it is that the coming of the Lord as King of Kings/Lord of Lords, the coming of Revelation 19 cannot happen until some of the other events of Revelation play out.  That is about where our agreement ends.  Unfortunately for too many teachers and preachers today they fail to divide the Word correctly.  Every Word in the Bible that speaks of the coming of the Lord gets lumped together into a Revelation 19 "second coming" and is the root cause of almost all of their erroneous arguments.

The Lord is coming back before Revelation 19, multiple times and those who do not divide the Word of truth correctly miss them all.  Proof?  Sure:

1 Thess 4:13But I would not have you to be ignorant, brethren, concerning them which are asleep, that ye sorrow not, even as others which have no hope. 14For if we believe that Jesus died and rose again, even so them also which sleep in Jesus will God bring with him. 15For this we say unto you by the word of the Lord, that we which are alive and remain unto the coming of the Lord shall not prevent them which are asleep. 16For the Lord himself shall descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of the archangel, and with the trump of God: and the dead in Christ shall rise first: 17Then we which are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds, to meet the Lord in the air: and so shall we ever be with the Lord. 18Wherefore comfort one another with these words.

This ^^ absolutely takes place before the Revelation 19 return of our Lord (The Bride hath made herself ready Rev 19:7 (past tense/in heaven)).

Here is another one:

Rev 14:1Then I looked, and there before me was the Lamb, standing on Mount Zion, and with him 144,000 who had his name and his Father’s name written on their foreheads.

So, here we have proof positive of the Lord's return at least twice before the "second coming" that people equate with Revelation 19.

So whats the point?

The Lord clearly and repeatedly told us what to look for.  Not the tribulation, not the anti-Christ, not the rebuilding of the temple, He told us to look for Him and His return.

Proof:

11For the grace of God that bringeth salvation hath appeared to all men, 12Teaching us that, denying ungodliness and worldly lusts, we should live soberly, righteously, and godly, in this present world; 13Looking for that blessed hope, and the glorious appearing of the great God and our Saviour Jesus Christ; 14Who gave himself for us, that he might redeem us from all iniquity, and purify unto himself a peculiar people, zealous of good works.

Matt 25 13Watch therefore, for ye know neither the day nor the hour wherein the Son of man cometh.

Matthew 24:42   Watch therefore: for you know not what hour your Lord does come.

Mark 13:35 Watch therefore: for ye know not when the lord of the house cometh, whether
at even, or at midnight, or at cockcrowing, or in the morning;

Over, and over, and over again we are warned, and commanded and encouraged to watch for the return of the Lord.  The Lord is coming back for the rapture of the Church, the Lord is coming back to stand on mount Zion with the 144,000 and the Lord is coming back in Revelation 19 to settle accounts.  That is at least three returns proven verifiable fact from the Word of God and I might have missed one or two.

The fact is, the Lord is coming back (multiple times) and one of those times is an unexpected return.  It is time to aggressively and forcefully take back every ounce of hope that has been stolen from us by the doctrines of men and the workings of the enemy.  The Lord has set an escape before us, a door will be opened in the heavens for us to path through so we will be kept from the hour of trial coming upon the entire world.  We must take the Lord and His Word at face value.

The people who will be ashamed in the days ahead are the ones who are found unprepared when the Lord does show up unexpected.  He said it is going to happen so you can be absolutely positively guaranteed it will happen.  There are at least two very great deliverances set before us, one for the Church (the Rapture) and one for Israel (the flight into the wilderness where she will be protected for the worst half of the tribulation).  The enemy hates this, he absolutely despises these facts so he fights against them with every tool in his arsenal.

The Blessed hope is before us, the great escape.  When the Lord comes back at that unexpected day and hour, lets be there with lamps burnings and a twinkle in our eyes as we tell Him "we have been expecting you Lord!" then we can give Him a big hug and go back to our real home in heaven.

Be encouraged, take back your hope.  What is coming on this world is the result of this world's rejection of Christ and the Word of the Lord.  We on the other hand embrace our Lord Jesus Christ and His Word.  Two different groups, two different destinies, two different methods of handling.  There are clear divisions made between the groups in the Word so let us rightly divide the Word of truth and lay hold of our hope.

Grace and peace from God the Father and Christ Jesus our Savior.
