Time Is Short

Although business as usual seems to continue unabated, it is working its way toward business that is not usual and we can see it coming.  How so?  Brother Armstrong at Armstrong economics has been warning for years that the next crisis is going to be the pension crisis.  Interest rates being held down so low for so long has created a sea of pension funds ready to go bust.  This is a realy dilemma for the powers that be as government debt has exploded and if they raise interest rates, the interest on federal debt will skyrocket.  If they don't raise interest rates, pension funds around the country (and the world) will go under as the mandatory return targets are not being met year after year which brings us here:

Here's the thing about these pension fund problems, we know when they are coming.  For example in the Chicago pension fund we see time runs out for them at the end of 2020, that's approximately 3 years from now, not out in the next generation somewhere.  Couple these financial problems with the social, political, and religious problems brewing all around the world and the picture quickly becomes clear:  time is short.  Time seems to go on forever but it only seems that way.  This world is tearing itself apart.

What is the root cause of all these unsolvable problems?  People turning their backs on the Almighty.  They want to remove Him from the schools, the courthouses, anywhere in public then they want to work on removing Him from our private lives as well.  Its a war on God that man will lose pitifully.  How foolish for mortal man to declare war on eternal God?  What has the Lord God said about all this?

Is 48:22 "There is no peace," says the LORD, "for the wicked."

Who are these wicked?  It encompasses all those who live in unbelief:

Heb 3:12 Take heed, brethren, lest there be in any of you an evil heart of unbelief, in departing from the living God.

The good news in all this is it was entirely predictable based on the rock solid counsel found in the Word of the Most High God.  He told us how things work.  When mankind turns their back on Him, peace is removed from the earth resulting in what we see around us today.  Unfortunately we are only seeing the beginning of this right now:

Rev 6:3When the Lamb opened the second seal, I heard the second living creature say, “Come!” 4Then another horse came out, a fiery red one. Its rider was given power to take peace from the earth and to make people kill each other. To him was given a large sword.

The people of this world look perfectly ready to kill each other.  The hatred and murder that is in people's hearts is just astonishing.  If you don't give them what they want right now, they want to kill you.  What they want is their anti-Christ world order.  The Almighty has sent them a delay in the form of Trump but its only a minor delay as Trump has not really turned back the clock on anything.  No, trumps job appears to be to tread water.  Under Barack Hussein Obama the clock was moving on fast forward, under Trump it is moving forward a little slower.  Please note with me the clocks hands are not being turned back.  No, we are headed just as surely toward our date with the events in Revelation as we would have under a Hillary Clinton presidency but the Lord chose not to go down that road.

With all this bad news, do not be troubled.  If the bad things that have come upon this world are predictable, so are the good things.  The Lord made promises to mankind.  He told us the wicked will know no peace.  But what about the righteous?

Ps 37:10For yet a little while, and the wicked shall not be: yea, thou shalt diligently consider his place, and it shall not be.

11But the meek shall inherit the earth; and shall delight themselves in the abundance of peace.

Take heart and be at peace in the midst of this wicked generation.  The Lord has everything under perfect control.  He has plans for the wicked and the righteous.  The wicked will be removed and forgotten and the righteous will inherit everything and delight themselves in the abundance of peace.  GLORY TO GOD.
