What To Do

So, we the Church are still here on the face of the earth for a reason.  As we approach the end of another year and this nobody who writes to you today asks the Lord at the end of the year for guidance for the coming year, the answer has been the same:  use your talents.

Matt 25

14“For it will be like a man going on a journey, who called his servantsc and entrusted to them his property. 15To one he gave five talents,d to another two, to another one, to each according to his ability. Then he went away. 16He who had received the five talents went at once and traded with them, and he made five talents more. 17So also he who had the two talents made two talents more. 18But he who had received the one talent went and dug in the ground and hid his master’s money. 19Now after a long time the master of those servants came and settled accounts with them. 20And he who had received the five talents came forward, bringing five talents more, saying, ‘Master, you delivered to me five talents; here, I have made five talents more.’ 21His master said to him, ‘Well done, good and faithful servant.e You have been faithful over a little; I will set you over much. Enter into the joy of your master.’ 22And he also who had the two talents came forward, saying, ‘Master, you delivered to me two talents; here, I have made two talents more.’ 23His master said to him, ‘Well done, good and faithful servant. You have been faithful over a little; I will set you over much. Enter into the joy of your master.’ 24He also who had received the one talent came forward, saying, ‘Master, I knew you to be a hard man, reaping where you did not sow, and gathering where you scattered no seed, 25so I was afraid, and I went and hid your talent in the ground. Here, you have what is yours.’ 26But his master answered him, ‘You wicked and slothful servant! You knew that I reap where I have not sown and gather where I scattered no seed? 27Then you ought to have invested my money with the bankers, and at my coming I should have received what was my own with interest. 28So take the talent from him and give it to him who has the ten talents. 29For to everyone who has will more be given, and he will have an abundance. But from the one who has not, even what he has will be taken away. 30And cast the worthless servant into the outer darkness. In that place there will be weeping and gnashing of teeth.’

Each one of us has been given certain talents/abilities that makes us unique in the world.  We are here for a reason in this season.  Recently when this nobody asked the Lord for updated guidance in no uncertain terms he was told "do what is right in front of your face."  No change to mission, do what we were put here to do.  Some people are looking all around for big attention grabbing "headline news" when its little tiny things right in their face that are waiting for attention.  We need to take the baby steps we already know we should be doing in order to get our next task which will more likely than not be a natural continuation of the initial baby steps we took.

We wont be shown whats next until we do whats now right in front of our face.  It is the boring routine grind stuff that needs to be taken care of not the headline news items.  Each one of us has a job to do for the Kingdom.  Some of it overlaps some of it does not.  We have been equipped by an all knowing all powerful God to do what we need to do in this season.  What we need to do is tied to our talents and abilities:

1 Peter 4:

7The end of all things is near. Therefore be alert and of sober mind so that you may pray. 8Above all, love each other deeply, because love covers over a multitude of sins. 9Offer hospitality to one another without grumbling. 10Each of you should use whatever gift you have received to serve others, as faithful stewards of God’s grace in its various forms. 11If anyone speaks, they should do so as one who speaks the very words of God. If anyone serves, they should do so with the strength God provides, so that in all things God may be praised through Jesus Christ. To him be the glory and the power for ever and ever. Amen.

^^This sums up what the Spirit of the Lord has been impressing on the servant who writes to you today.  Its all there.  Pay attention first to this:

7The end of all things is near. Therefore be alert and of sober mind so that you may pray.

Then to this:

Above all, love each other deeply, because love covers over a multitude of sins. Amen.

If you want to know what we should be focused on its all right there ^^in a nice tidy package.

On a side note, this whole Shemitah season thing may not be over so we need to stay alert.  Why?  This writer believes some like brother Biltz has not counted the Jubilee cycles correctly.  If this past year was a Shemitah year, and the year we are in now is a Jubilee year then another Shemitah cycle starts 2023/2024 not 2022/2023.  This servant does not know for sure but it was impressed as a possibility the other night right before going to sleep.  Next consider the events taking place in the world around us, if the tribulation is going to take place on a 7 year Shemitah cycle would 2023/2024 line up kind of sort of with world events?  Remember that X over America in 2024?

Is there some speculation here?  Yes, some.  But what is not speculation is this:

1 Peter 4

7The end of all things is near. Therefore be alert and of sober mind so that you may pray.

and this

Luke 21

36Be always on the watch, and pray that you may be able to escape all that is about to happen, and that you may be able to stand before the Son of Man.”

In addition to all this it would bring back into focus the various elements that had this servant focused on high alert for this years appointed times/season.  We dont have to invent stuff or know exactly what is going to happen when.  It is enough that 1. we were told exactly what to do, and 2. be generally situationally aware of our environment.  Everything else will take care of itself.

Hebrews 3:13

But encourage one another daily, as long as it is called “Today,” so that none of you may be hardened by sin’s deceitfulness.

Glory to God

Grace and Peace
