Our situation is very similar to this one:
Luke 8
22One day he got into a boat with his disciples, and he said to them, “Let us go across to the other side of the lake.” So they set out, 23and as they sailed he fell asleep. And a windstorm came down on the lake, and they were filling with water and were in danger. 24And they went and woke him, saying, “Master, Master, we are perishing!” And he awoke and rebuked the wind and the raging waves, and they ceased, and there was a calm. 25He said to them, “Where is your faith?” And they were afraid, and they marveled, saying to one another, “Who then is this, that he commands even winds and water, and they obey him?”

22Immediately he made the disciples get into the boat and go before him to the other side, while he dismissed the crowds. 23And after he had dismissed the crowds, he went up on the mountain by himself to pray. When evening came, he was there alone, 24but the boat by this time was a long wayb from the land,c beaten by the waves, for the wind was against them. 25And in the fourth watch of the nightd he came to them, walking on the sea. 26But when the disciples saw him walking on the sea, they were terrified, and said, “It is a ghost!” and they cried out in fear. 27But immediately Jesus spoke to them, saying, “Take heart; it is I. Do not be afraid.”
28And Peter answered him, “Lord, if it is you, command me to come to you on the water.” 29He said, “Come.” So Peter got out of the boat and walked on the water and came to Jesus. 30But when he saw the wind,e he was afraid, and beginning to sink he cried out, “Lord, save me.” 31Jesus immediately reached out his hand and took hold of him, saying to him, “O you of little faith, why did you doubt?” 32And when they got into the boat, the wind ceased. 33And those in the boat worshiped him, saying, “Truly you are the Son of God.”
The enemy plan is to create a distracting storm to get our eyes off of Christ who is the answer to the problems we face. "They" would love for us to give our attention to anything other than the Lord God. Why? Because everything else is a hollow shell, empty and vacuous. The enemy knows that a praying people, down on their knees in prayer and repentance will be the end of them.
So, get ready for whatever storm it is we are to face over the next 3 or so months (and after but for now let us deal with one battle at a time). When we start to get distracted remember 3 words: Eyes on Christ. He is the answer. He is the solution. He will give us the victory, if we do our part. He expects us to do our part. Yes, He does 99.999% of the heavy lifting but be assured He expects us to do every bit of our .001% of the job. And do not be deceived by the small number because that .001% will also take every ounce of effort we have to give.
The Lord God could just come down and wipe the floor with the enemy but instead He has chosen to walk together with us on this journey. We are doing this together with Him just as we will do everything together in eternity.
If you want some great news it is this. Regardless of what the enemy does, if we do our part-they are finished (for now). How can you be so sure brother D? Here:
2 Chron 7:14
if my people, who are called by my name, will humble themselves and pray and seek my face and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven, and I will forgive their sin and will heal their land.
The enemy has zero percent of a say in this ^^^. It is 100% between us and the Lord our God. They can whine, they can moan, they can throw temper tantrums (and they will) but what they cannot do is resist the Lord God Almighty when He decides to act:
Is 14:27
For the LORD Almighty has purposed, and who can thwart him? His hand is stretched out, and who can turn it back?
The enemy plans to throw everything and the kitchen sink at us, but if we keep our eyes on Christ-it wont matter. They know that, we know that. There is nothing written in stone yet regarding the near term future (Orange Man Bad for president and such) because the Lord God placed before us a cross-roads of decision. A cross road is a place of decision. If we do our part and stay down on our knees in repentance, revival and righteousness-the enemy will be dealt a defeat in this battle. That is what we are asking for and praying for.
We need to bring our "A game" to this fight because you can be sure the enemy is throwing in everything they have to defeat us. This is total war against humanity. This servant for one-under the inspiration of the Spirit of God says "NO." Not on our watch. We will engage, we will pray, we will fast, we will engage all of our talents, skills and abilities per Matt 25. We will stand in the gap for the land. We will stand in agreement with each other. And we will prevail.

“I looked for someone among them who would build up the wall and stand before me in the gap on behalf of the land so I would not have to destroy it, but I found no one.

“Again, truly I tell you that if two of you on earth agree about anything they ask for, it will be done for them by my Father in heaven.

“Truly I tell you, if anyone says to this mountain, ‘Go, throw yourself into the sea,’ and does not doubt in their heart but believes that what they say will happen, it will be done for them.
Get in the Word, stay in the Word. Encourage yourself in the Lord
1 Sam 30:6
And David was greatly distressed; for the people spake of stoning him, because the soul of all the people was grieved, every man for his sons and for his daughters: but David encouraged himself in the LORD his God.
Keep your eyes on Christ.
