Todays good news borders on great news. What is it? A question: how many does it take? To do what? To get the Lord to turn away from what He was going to do? We can find an answer like that here:
Gen 18
Abraham Intercedes for Sodom
22So the men turned from there and went toward Sodom, but Abraham still stood before the Lord. 23Then Abraham drew near and said, “Will you indeed sweep away the righteous with the wicked? 24Suppose there are fifty righteous within the city. Will you then sweep away the place and not spare it for the fifty righteous who are in it? 25Far be it from you to do such a thing, to put the righteous to death with the wicked, so that the righteous fare as the wicked! Far be that from you! Shall not the Judge of all the earth do what is just?” 26And the Lord said, “If I find at Sodom fifty righteous in the city, I will spare the whole place for their sake.”
27Abraham answered and said, “Behold, I have undertaken to speak to the Lord, I who am but dust and ashes. 28Suppose five of the fifty righteous are lacking. Will you destroy the whole city for lack of five?” And he said, “I will not destroy it if I find forty-five there.” 29Again he spoke to him and said, “Suppose forty are found there.” He answered, “For the sake of forty I will not do it.” 30Then he said, “Oh let not the Lord be angry, and I will speak. Suppose thirty are found there.” He answered, “I will not do it, if I find thirty there.” 31He said, “Behold, I have undertaken to speak to the Lord. Suppose twenty are found there.” He answered, “For the sake of twenty I will not destroy it.” 32Then he said, “Oh let not the Lord be angry, and I will speak again but this once. Suppose ten are found there.” He answered, “For the sake of ten I will not destroy it.” 33And the Lord went his way, when he had finished speaking to Abraham, and Abraham returned to his place.
Why does this matter? Remember what the Lord has been saying: "I want all hands on deck." That means everybody that has even a mustard seed sized faith needs to be counted in this effort to repent, revive, and stand in righteousness as well has moving mountains, binding/loosing/restraining etc. This matters because we know that many, maybe even most will carry on in their sin oblivious to the close call they never knew happened to the nation, but they dont matter. The few matter, those who are called by His name matter.

13“Enter by the narrow gate. For the gate is wide and the way is easya that leads to destruction, and those who enter by it are many. 14For the gate is narrow and the way is hard that leads to life, and those who find it are few.
^^^That right there is the piece of scripture that started this blog. Why isnt this shouted from the pulpits? Because its bad for business and the collection plate...
Back to the encouraging and the good news. We know its going to be a few that make the difference. We need you and everyone else in the effort and in the fight. Who knows which of us will tilt the scale in the Lord's eyes to cause Him to relent for a season? This brings us to another point which is, this servant does believe the Lord would have us do what is necessary to extend time for a season. For what purpose?
2 Peter 3:9
The Lord is not slow in keeping his promise, as some understand slowness. Instead he is patient with you, not wanting anyone to perish, but everyone to come to repentance.
More time = more souls saved. Its as simple as that. There is more to it, like having us who already believe to finish strong instead of skidding across the finish line by the seat of our pants with our pants on fire from a near brush with hell.
1 Cor 9
24Do you not know that in a race all the runners run, but only one receives the prize? So run that you may obtain it. 25Every athlete exercises self-control in all things. They do it to receive a perishable wreath, but we an imperishable. 26So I do not run aimlessly; I do not box as one beating the air. 27But I discipline my body and keep it under control,b lest after preaching to others I myself should be disqualified.
If Paul was concerned about it/serious about it we would be stupid to brush this aside as too many do while clinging to the other doctrine of demons once saved always saved. But again, back to the positive. Your individual prayers and belief, repentance, revival and stand in righteousness might be what puts us over to the winning side of this struggle. And yes, He wants it to be a struggle because we have been as a nation has been very displeasing.
Hopefully this message is received as it was intended. Its only going to take a few of us (relatively speaking) to tip the scales in our favor but we do not know what that number is or who exactly is going to put us on the winning side of this struggle so we all must labor and persevere as if we were the ones who would do it. You as a person have never mattered more than you do right now on planet earth to tip the scales in favor of humanity and away from the enemy. Keep the faith!
