In faith, hope and love is how we finish our race. It is how we "finish strong." That said there are some tough bits in there that we need some detail on like loving our enemies and those who spitefully use us, etc. How do we love our enemies? We do not do it in our own strength or power thats for sure. We do it by carrying our cross, denying and dieing to ourselves. We do it with Christ, in Christ, through Christ. We yield our will to His Will. He never told us to do all this stuff we have to do on our own. That approach is doomed to failure-there are too many tall orders in the way.
We do it by making a decision to do it. We de-cide which means at its root to cut off other possibilities. We decide to do things His way and not our way. We decide to walk like Jesus did on this earth. Only way to do that is with Him, in Him, through Him, hand in hand. He wants to be part of the process with us. Thats how we are going to rule and reign with Him in eternity-all this we are going through now is just basic training.
We have to do things His way because even just a little deviation over the course of eternity can lead one to be light years off course. Faith, hope and love is how we finish and the greatest of these is love. If we are in the final laps of this race we need to get this right. 1 Cor 13 and 1 John 4 will tell you most of what you need to know about all this. All the other "works" are garbage without love which is how we can read this without fear now:
Matt 7
21“Not everyone who says to me, ‘Lord, Lord,’ will enter the kingdom of heaven, but only the one who does the will of my Father who is in heaven. 22Many will say to me on that day, ‘Lord, Lord, did we not prophesy in your name and in your name drive out demons and in your name perform many miracles?’ 23Then I will tell them plainly, ‘I never knew you. Away from me, you evildoers!’
People can do this stuff ^^^ for alot of different reasons: wealth, status, power-we see it around us every day. What all these ^^^ self proclaimed Christians were missing was love. This servant is not judging individuals we are trying to understand the Word of God here in the now, not when we are all standing before Him (which is too late).
This also has alot to do with the coming months going into 2026 and the mid-terms. What we are praying and believing for is a spiritual awakening for the public and repentance and revival in the Church. We do all this in faith, hope and love. We need to see multiple, manifold miracles in short order to turn the tide from where things are headed at the moment. The Spirit of the Lord counsels that we are not to fear or despair but to pray, fast, and stand in agreement over all the things we are asking for and crown them all with faith, hope and love. Thats how we get to where we want to go while we remain here on planet earth.
We pray over the prayer targets daily, standing in agreement with the Lord God and each other. We pray for an end to the corruption and rot relating to the war in Ukraine. Both parties just voted for another 800 million dollars for Ukraine without blinking an eye. Trump did not want that funding but congress overwhelmingly supported it.
The republicans have alot of problems, however right now the gospel has an open lane to go where it wants when it wants under this administration. As long as we have flawed humans in charge we are going to have these problems. Right now, the Church is wrapping up loose ends on earth in preparation for the final act which is the all eyes on Israel show also known as the time of Jacob's trouble.
We do not know whats in store for this world, the Lord could come back at any moment. Or, we could be working into 2026 and beyond. We need to be ready for either possibility. The way we maintain our readiness for the unexpected return of the Lord is at least in part by doing our job. We do our job the best we can which means we as servants need to level up our game, be the best versions of ourselves so we can serve our King at the highest level possible, centered in His Will. When He comes back, whenever that ends up being, He will find us doing our job while maintaining watchfulness.
