Yesterday I was caught out in the open with my family by a tornado.  Thanks be to the Lord that He killed it before it could kill or injure anyone.

The world and its weather are getting stranger by the day.

We are moving into September now and late this month into the balance of October is the large quake window that mirrors this years twin mega quakes on 4/11/12.  It was written here earlier that we must prepare.  Have food, water etc is part of this but the only real preparedness comes from being "in Christ" and having His constant gaze of protection on your life.  This was proven yesterday to this brother.

Please remember to spend time in the Word, get down on your knees and worship the Creator who is forever praised.  Give thanks and rejoice in the presence of the Lord as you offer up your requests to Him.  If we get nothing else right in this life, let us get this thing right.  Let the praises of our Father in the name of Jesus continually be in our mouth.  Lets get that right.

We have no idea how much time this world has left before things turn upside down.  2012 is likely a trap to deflate peoples expectations, but we cannot be sure.  Because we do not know the day or hour of our Lord's return for us we must be watching and ready every day.  That is the Lord's command to us.  While we watch in readiness let us fill our mouths with praise and rejoicing.

The Lord does not like grumbling and complaining:

Numbers 14:1That night all the people of the community raised their voices and wept aloud. 2All the Israelites grumbled against Moses and Aaron, and the whole assembly said to them, “If only we had died in Egypt! Or in this desert! 3Why is the Lord bringing us to this land only to let us fall by the sword? Our wives and children will be taken as plunder. Wouldn’t it be better for us to go back to Egypt?” 4And they said to each other, “We should choose a leader and go back to Egypt.”
5Then Moses and Aaron fell facedown in front of the whole Israelite assembly gathered there. 6Joshua son of Nun and Caleb son of Jephunneh, who were among those who had explored the land, tore their clothes 7and said to the entire Israelite assembly, “The land we passed through and explored is exceedingly good. 8If the Lord is pleased with us, he will lead us into that land, a land flowing with milk and honey, and will give it to us. 9Only do not rebel against the Lord. And do not be afraid of the people of the land, because we will swallow them up. Their protection is gone, but the Lord is with us. Do not be afraid of them.”
10But the whole assembly talked about stoning them. Then the glory of the Lord appeared at the Tent of Meeting to all the Israelites. 11The Lord said to Moses, “How long will these people treat me with contempt? How long will they refuse to believe in me, in spite of all the miraculous signs I have performed among them? 12I will strike them down with a plague and destroy them, but I will make you into a nation greater and stronger than they.”

In order to please the Lord, we must know the Lord.  What is good and pleasing to our Lord?  Praise and thanks.  Regardless of what is going on in your life, we all have tests and trials but surely you can find something to thank and praise the Master for...right?

The Lord has recently performed for this servant and his family the greatest miracle this servant has ever seen.  I mention this to encourage you since the brother writing these words is the very least of all the servants who are in Christ Jesus.  If we would just do what He tells us to do, things will go exceedingly well for us.  His commands are not hard, nor are they a burden upon us.  We have been told what to do so things will go well with us and our families.

Thank, praise and worship the Lord today, I plead with you.  Practice and exercise your faith daily.  Keep the commands we have been given.  These are the things this servant is impressed with today.

May the grace and peace of God our Father and the Lord Jesus Christ be with us all.
