Rosh Hashanah 2012

When is Rosh HaShanah in 2012?

Rosh HaShanah in 2012 will start on Monday, the 17th of Septemberand will continue for 2 days until Tuesday, the 18th of September.
Note that in the Jewish calander, a holiday begins on the sunset of the previous day, so observing Jews will celebrate Rosh HaShanah on the sunset of Sunday, the 16th of September.

Tonight after sunset we enter that window in time called Rosh Hashanah or the Feast of Trumpets. The Feast days of the Lord are days to remember what He has said.  They are days of remembrance and promise.  So over the next two days we should remember and be watching.

Could the Bridegroom return for the Bride (not the 'second coming') over the next few days?  Absolutely He could.  Should we be ready to meet our Lord over the next few days?  Yes.  We can say this but we must also remember that we have been commanded to watch and be ready every day.  I am amazed at how many self proclaimed Christians refuse to obey the Lord's command to watch every day.  What will be the price for willful refusal to obey?  Time will tell.

On one hand the Feast of Trumpets every year appears to be the spot on day the Lord will carry away His Bride, on the other hand the Jewish wedding tradition tells us the Bride has no idea when the Bridegroom is coming for her, which is why she must ALWAYS be ready.

Let us be watching and ready should this year be the year the Lord comes back to snatch away His Bride and all hell breaks loose here on earth.  The Lord counsels this servant to faith and patience today and this servant passes on that counsel to you.
