More Encouragement From Luke 21

This writer asked the Lord to give us encouragement from the Word.  "Will we really escape all that is about to happen?"  What the Lord has been giving this servant to write here is the evidence, coming in torrents that the tribulation was never meant for the Church.  All of the evidence (yes, evidence not opinion...) points to Israel not the Church.

This morning the Lord pointed out more of this evidence that I now share with you.  What is the context of Luke 21:36?

Luke 21:36Be always on the watch, and pray that you may be able to escape all that is about to happen, and that you may be able to stand before the Son of Man.”

The context is Luke 21:1-35.  What does Luke 21:1-35 contain?  Description of the tribulation period.  So lets look at this description of the tribulation and see where the Biblical objective evidence points.

Luke 21:12“But before all this, they will seize you and persecute you. They will hand you over to synagogues and put you in prison, and you will be brought before kings and governors, and all on account of my name. 13And so you will bear testimony to me. 14But make up your mind not to worry beforehand how you will defend yourselves. 15For I will give you words and wisdom that none of your adversaries will be able to resist or contradict. 16You will be betrayed even by parents, brothers and sisters, relatives and friends, and they will put some of you to death. 17Everyone will hate you because of me. 18But not a hair of your head will perish. 19Stand firm, and you will win life.
20“When you see Jerusalem being surrounded by armies, you will know that its desolation is near. 21Then let those who are in Judea flee to the mountains, let those in the city get out, and let those in the country not enter the city. 22For this is the time of punishment in fulfillment of all that has been written. 23How dreadful it will be in those days for pregnant women and nursing mothers! There will be great distress in the land and wrath against this people. 24They will fall by the sword and will be taken as prisoners to all the nations. Jerusalem will be trampled on by the Gentiles until the times of the Gentiles are fulfilled.

We are just looking at two paragraphs here and already we have more to write about than I have time today to cover but lets try.

1.  They will hand you over to synagogues
2.   Jerusalem being surrounded by armies
3.  There will be great distress in the land and wrath against this people.
4.  Jerusalem will be trampled on by the Gentiles

1.  They will hand you over to what?  Synagogues.  Is that the Church?  No, once again synagogues=ISRAEL

2.  Jerusalem will be surrounded by armies...where?  Jerusalem, so yes, again, ISRAEL

3.  There will be great distress in the land and wrath against this people.  Wrath?  Against "this people"  Is the Church appointed to wrath (1 Thess 5:9)?  No.  Who is "this people?" Hint:  synagogues and Jerusalem, who could it be?  ISRAEL

4.  Jerusalem will be trampled on by the Gentiles.  Jerusalem?  Yes, again=ISRAEL

Any attempt to try to force the Church into this context goes beyond not understanding, it is willful self deception.  Then to make matters worse people go out and try to teach others that somehow the Church is involved in the middle of all this ^^.

What does the WORD SAY, not my opinion, not your opinion the WORD of God.  What does it say?  The evidence is overwhelming.  Details matter, there are no extra or frivolous Words in the Word of God.  All Almighty, All knowing God wrote this book and He did not make mistakes.  If the Church is not mentioned, there is a reason.  If Israel is mentioned, there is a reason.

The reason people have to write multi-thousand word dissertations and books to explain away single sentence statements in the Bible is to obfuscate, to muddy, to deceive.  The pre-wrath and post-trib preachers and teachers go on and on and on to prove a point that is not there.  Have you ever heard the saying if the shoe fits, wear it?  Indeed:

Prov 10:19 In the multitude of words there wanteth not sin: but he that refraineth his lips is wise.

Be encouraged.  The Word clearly says 1.  there is an escape from ALL that is about to happen and 2.  We should pray for it.

No need for a man inspired book, or a 10,000 word paper to explain it away.  Glory to God.

Grace and peace to you from God our Father and the Lord Jesus Christ.
