Praying in the Restraint

2 Thess 2:7

For the secret power of lawlessness is already at work; but the one who now holds it back will continue to do so till he is taken out of the way.

Matt 5

13“You are the salt of the earth. But if the salt loses its saltiness, how can it be made salty again? It is no longer good for anything, except to be thrown out and trampled underfoot.

14“You are the light of the world. A town built on a hill cannot be hidden. 15Neither do people light a lamp and put it under a bowl. Instead they put it on its stand, and it gives light to everyone in the house. 16In the same way, let your light shine before others, that they may see your good deeds and glorify your Father in heaven.

Good news!  Prayer works.  More good news.  We are here on this earth in this season for a reason.  Part of our job here is to act as a restraint on the wickedness around us.  We can do this with both individual prayer and prayer in agreement with each other.  If the (s)election thefts bother you, pray about it, if the enemy and his agents on earth trying to eliminate you bothers you, pray about it.  If the enemy attempting to cut off your food, water, electricity, gas/diesel and communications bothers you, pray about it.  If the perversion promotion bothers you, pray about it.  We are barely scratching the surface here and already have a nice list.  Speaking of lists, this brother uses an excel spreadsheet to pray (not kidding).  Pray about all things at all times:

1 Thess 5

16Rejoice always, 17pray continually18give thanks in all circumstances; for this is God’s will for you in Christ Jesus.

^^ this is the centerpiece addition to the guidance the Lord has given (to this servant to share with you) for 2023.

The enemy could care less if you go out and vote, they can just not count your ballot and print whatever they need out of thin air (see Arizona Governor recent (s)election for details).  Your vote may not matter but your prayers hit hard :).  The pastors and priests are part of the problem, otherwise they would be telling the flock to put on sackcloth and ashes and pray out the problems.  As things stand every single one of them (that this servant is aware of) is preaching business as usual garbage.

"They" have sold us down the river but they cant stop you from praying to the One who still believes in truth and justice and righteousness AND can still do something about it.  "They" cant threaten or cajole Him.  Yes, the Lord has allowed alot of evil wickedness to proceed in this world but He has not allowed their "superman" to show up and He has kept His restraint at work on this earth.  So, the message is don't stop doing what we were put here to do regardless of what the Lord allows to proceed or not.

The salt must remain salty and the light must shine.  The Lord God would have us be encouraged today regardless of what is going on in the world.  Oh yes, dont forget to pray for peace in Ukr ("they" really dont like that idea).  The Lord is answering prayer every day.  Just because He says no or wait to some things doesn't mean we are to stop asking, seeking and knocking.  The Lord God told us to be persistent in prayer:

Luke 18

1And he told them a parable to the effect that they ought always to pray and not lose heart. 2He said, “In a certain city there was a judge who neither feared God nor respected man. 3And there was a widow in that city who kept coming to him and saying, ‘Give me justice against my adversary.’ 4For a while he refused, but afterward he said to himself, ‘Though I neither fear God nor respect man, 5yet because this widow keeps bothering me, I will give her justice, so that she will not beat me down by her continual coming.’” 6And the Lord said, “Hear what the unrighteous judge says. 7And will not God give justice to his elect, who cry to him day and night? Will he delay long over them? 8I tell you, he will give justice to them speedily. Nevertheless, when the Son of Man comes, will he find faith on earth?”

Keep the faith.  Glory to God.

Grace and peace
