as it is written, “The righteous shall live by faith.”
We as humans want to know exactly what is going to happen before it happens, what the Lord wants in direct contrast is for us to trust Him while remaining completely or almost completely ignorant of what is going to happen. Its called faith and it means we are trusting the Lord with our lives from day to day, week to week etc while remaining relatively clueless to many of the surprises that are right around the corner.
There are many many surprises yet to come and all of them (for this world) will be devastating. This world is spiraling out of control in every way possible. An example here:
Many of the sick, corrupt politicians of this world will be voted out of office at the end of 2016/2017. What do they do when they know their time is short? Destroy everything they can. At the end of WW2, when Hitler was sure it was over for him his orders to his generals was to burn everything down, destroy everything. The only reason Paris was not burned to the ground and blown up is the commanding general defied Hitler's orders. Thats just one example. Obama has done his best to destroy America with every decision he has made. Now he knows his time is short, expect the destruction to accelerate.
An anti-Christ figure like Hitler does not come to power when things are going well. It takes very specific circumstances to get a Hitler accepted by the masses and in power. Every single circumstance necessary for Hitler to rise to power is present today. The fact that Trump is leading in the polls over all the usual crook, thief, liar politicians tells you circumstances have dramatically changed. Just 4 years ago Trump had no chance whatsoever, now he is number one in the polls. It is no coincidence that this is also a Jubilee year and this coming September is the beginning of another 'seven' Shemitah cycle.
So what? So with all the problems this world has it is looking for a savior. No, they are not looking for our Savior, they already kicked Him out. What they want is the anti-Christ. They will never admit it but that is who they really want, so guess who they are going to get? It has been said here many times, people do not get who they vote for they get who they deserve.
So what now? Each and every one of us will have to trust our God as individuals. Your "pastor" or priest's faith is not going to save you. Nor will the people you know, friends and family. Our individual, direct relationship with Almighty God through faith in His Son our Lord Jesus Christ is what is going to save us. We are not only talking about saving as in "going to heaven" saved we are also talking about the thousand and one threats to our day to day existence on this earth saved. What does that mean? In one day, everything that took a lifetime to build/grow can be taken away. For us who believe it is the Lord alone that puts food on our table, clothes on our back and a roof over our head.
This brings us back to:
"This year you are going to trust me."
If you stopped praying on your knees its about time to get started again. The Lord is not going to give us a blow by blow synopsis of what is going to happen this year. What He is going to do is lead us, guide us, protect us and provide for us as we keep our eyes on Him in faith with great thanks for all He has done, continues to do and will do for us in the future.
I am going to trust the Lord today to get me through just like He got me through yesterday. Things are going to go exponentially wrong for this world in increasing measure as time goes on. Read the book of Revelation, the seals turn to trumpets which turn to bowls. The punishments go from bad to worse. Not only is this world facing societal strife, economic strife, international wars etc, it is also facing natural and supernatural plagues and destruction added on top.
The time for this world to enjoy its perversions and anti-Christ values is coming to an end. Soon, the final 'seven' will start and accounts will be settled.
Daniel 9:24 Seventy 'sevens' are decreed for your people and your holy city to finish transgression, to put an end to sin, to atone for wickedness, to bring in everlasting righteousness, to seal up vision and prophecy and to anoint the Most Holy Place.
Until then we are to trust the Lord our God with all our heart, soul and spirit.
