I recently asked the Lord how much time was left before He came back to take His people out of this sick world. He replied by helping me to understand His word a bit better. Basically His response was a question: How many normal days do you think are left?
Looking at the news, it appears that "normal" days, days as we have come to know them are about to come to an end very soon. The antichrist is on the verge of being revealed, the things necessary for the new world order to arrive are all here. People sense it, something BIG is about to happen. Although most cannot pinpoint the feeling they have, they know something is stirring in the spirit world.
The reason the question "how many normal days are left?" is an important question is because the Lord clearly states that He will come back during a "normal day."
Let's look at what He said.
26 'And, as it came to pass in the days of Noah, so shall it be also in the days of the Son of Man;
27 they were eating, they were drinking, they were marrying, they were given in marriage, till the day that Noah entered into the ark, and the deluge came, and destroyed all;
28 in like manner also, as it came to pass in the days of Lot; they were eating, they were drinking, they were buying, they were selling, they were planting, they were building;
29 and on the day Lot went forth from Sodom, He rained fire and brimstone from heaven, and destroyed all.
30 'According to these things it shall be, in the day the Son of Man is revealed;
they were eating, they were drinking, they were marrying, they were given in marriage, till the day that Noah entered into the ark..............normal things, normal days
Let's look at Matthew:
36 'And concerning that day and the hour no one hath known -- not even the messengers of the heavens -- except my Father only;
37 and as the days of Noah -- so shall be also the presence of the Son of Man;
38 for as they were, in the days before the flood, eating, and drinking, marrying, and giving in marriage, till the day Noah entered into the ark,
39 and they did not know till the flood came and took all away; so shall be also the presence of the Son of Man.
40 Then two men shall be in the field, the one is received, and the one is left;
41 two women shall be grinding in the mill, one is received, and one is left.
42 'Watch ye therefore, because ye have not known in what hour your Lord doth come;
once again, normal things, occuring on normal days. During on of these normal days of eating, drinking, marrying and giving in marriage believers will be pulled off this world to meet the Lord in the air, "Then two men shall be in the field, the one is received, and the one is left; 41 two women shall be grinding in the mill, one is received, and one is left. "
We can contrast the days described above with the kinds of days people should expect to see during the tribulation:
Revelation 6 >> Young's Literal Translation
1 And I saw when the Lamb opened one of the seals, and I heard one of the four living creatures saying, as it were a voice of thunder, 'Come and behold!'
2 and I saw, and lo, a white horse, and he who is sitting upon it is having a bow, and there was given to him a crown, and he went forth overcoming, and that he may overcome.
3 And when he opened the second seal, I heard the second living creature saying, 'Come and behold!'
4 and there went forth another horse -- red, and to him who is sitting upon it, there was given to him to take the peace from the land, and that one another they may slay, and there was given to him a great sword.
5 And when he opened the third seal, I heard the third living creature saying, 'Come and behold!' and I saw, and lo, a black horse, and he who is sitting upon it is having a balance in his hand,
6 and I heard a voice in the midst of the four living creatures saying, 'A measure of wheat for a denary, and three measures of barley for a denary,' and 'The oil and the wine thou mayest not injure.'
7 And when he opened the fourth seal, I heard the voice of the fourth living creature saying, 'Come and behold!'
8 and I saw, and lo, a pale horse, and he who is sitting upon him -- his name is Death, and Hades doth follow with him, and there was given to them authority to kill, (over the fourth part of the land,) with sword, and with hunger, and with death, and by the beasts of the land.
9 And when he opened the fifth seal, I saw under the altar the souls of those slain because of the word of God, and because of the testimony that they held,
10 and they were crying with a great voice, saying, 'Till when, O Master, the Holy and the True, dost Thou not judge and take vengeance of our blood from those dwelling upon the land?'
11 and there was given to each one white robes, and it was said to them that they may rest themselves yet a little time, till may be fulfilled also their fellow-servants and their brethren, who are about to be killed -- even as they.
12 And I saw when he opened the sixth seal, and lo, a great earthquake came, and the sun became black as sackcloth of hair, and the moon became as blood,
13 and the stars of the heaven fell to the earth -- as a fig-tree doth cast her winter figs, by a great wind being shaken --
14 and heaven departed as a scroll rolled up, and every mountain and island -- out of their places they were moved;
15 and the kings of the earth, and the great men, and the rich, and the chiefs of thousands, and the mighty, and every servant, and every freeman, hid themselves in the dens, and in the rocks of the mountains,
16 and they say to the mountains and to the rocks, 'Fall upon us, and hide us from the face of Him who is sitting upon the throne, and from the anger of the Lamb,'
17 because come did the great day of His anger, and who is able to stand?
The events occuring above are just the opening salvo of the tribulation. The things characteristic of the days here are certainly NOT eating, drinking, marrying and giving in marriage. No, these days are characterized by DEATH and wrath unlike anything this world has ever seen. His name is Death, and Hades doth follow with him, and there was given to them authority to kill, (over the fourth part of the land,) with sword, and with hunger, and with death, and by the beasts of the land. This specifically shows us that 25% of the earths population will die, that's in the neighborhood of 1 BILLION 200 MILLION people or thereabouts....in comparison, during World War Two in Hitler's death camps, he was "only" able to kill 6 million.
The normal day in which Jesus will come to pull His people off this earth is coming VERY soon. We know this because we can see the end of "normal" days in our news headlines EVERY DAY. Time is so short. Without holiness nobody will see the Lord. We must be watching and we must be ready.
36 watch ye, then, in every season, praying that ye may be accounted worthy to escape all these things that are about to come to pass, and to stand before the Son of Man.'
We should be praying earnestly and constantly that we may be accounted worthy. Few will be counted worthy.......
13"Enter through the narrow gate. For wide is the gate and broad is the road that leads to destruction, and many enter through it. 14But small is the gate and narrow the road that leads to life, and only a few find it.
Despite what this world tells us, most will not make it, only a few will...........
