Russia: Defender of Christianity

If you ever wondered where all the anti-Russia hysteria really comes from, watch this video.  Who is constantly attacking Russia?  The west (Babylon).  The west has become exactly what the Lord describes here:

Rev 18:1And after these things I saw another angel come down from heaven, having great power; and the earth was lightened with his glory. 2And he cried mightily with a strong voice, saying, Babylon the great is fallen, is fallen, and is become the habitation of devils, and the hold of every foul spirit, and a cage of every unclean and hateful bird. 3For all nations have drunk of the wine of the wrath of her fornication, and the kings of the earth have committed fornication with her, and the merchants of the earth are waxed rich through the abundance of her delicacies.

4And I heard another voice from heaven, saying, Come out of her, my people, that ye be not partakers of her sins, and that ye receive not of her plagues. 5For her sins have reached unto heaven, and God hath remembered her iniquities. 6Reward her even as she rewarded you, and double unto her double according to her works: in the cup which she hath filled fill to her double. 7How much she hath glorified herself, and lived deliciously, so much torment and sorrow give her: for she saith in her heart, I sit a queen, and am no widow, and shall see no sorrow. 8Therefore shall her plagues come in one day, death, and mourning, and famine; and she shall be utterly burned with fire: for strong is the Lord God who judgeth her.

It was the politicians across Europe who opened their doors (without ever consulting the people) to the Islamic invasion that took place starting in 2015.  Although the Lord put Trump in power to prevent the Islamic invasion that was taking place under the radar during Barack Hussein's presidency, Trump will not be president forever.

Who would have ever guessed 10-20 years ago that Russia would be the lone global superpower left to defend Christianity?  Even the Washington Post admits that Russia is willing to wage war/risk military confrontation with the United States to defend Christianity.

What this shows us is the enemy is constantly at work to destroy Israel/the Jews and Christianity.  Our God, on the other hand is constantly at work countering those moves.  We also see how the west is in a continual state of decay while Russia is becoming resurgent on the world stage.  The United States spends more money on the military than the next 5 largest countries combined and yet Russia has been able to research and develop weapon systems that are unmatched in the world (hypersonic missiles/artillery systems/air defense/5th generation fighters etc).

This is all evidence that this world is not in the throes of social, political or economic battles as much as a spiritual battle.  The west decided to kick the God of Creation out and Russia decided to continue with Him.  Who is ascending and who is descending as a world power?  These things have not become obvious yet to many people in the west because the changes have been taking place slowly but the changes are occurring.

America was almost completely finished when to everyone's astonishment the Lord put Trump in office who is working as a door stop on the door of destruction that almost completely closed on the nation.  The Lord put the door stop in, and when Trump leaves office He can put another surprise doorstop in if He so chooses until the time is right to close that door.  In the meantime we can watch the world transforming around us.  In spite of western sanctions, Russia's stock market is up, their people are motivated and united, their economy is growing, their military is on par or better than any other military in the world spending a fraction of their nation's wealth on it compared to America and they are making friends around the world.

The Lord honors nations that honor Him.  America still has a remnant who love Him, thus the door that was closing on the nation has been stopped (for now).  Also America plays a key role in the defense of Israel which is another reason why it has not been allowed to collapse (yet).  But we know what is coming.  There is coming a time when Israel will stand alone against the nations of the world and only the Lord God Himself will be her defense.

The only solution to the problems this world is facing is a spiritual solution.  The political, social and economic stuff is all noise.  Keep your eyes on Russia.  Watch how the Lord deals with Russia as it holds onto Christianity while the west embraces Islam, LGBTQABCDEFG lifestyles, moral relativism, humanism, and everything else that is anti-Christ.  Then watch carefully who is ascending and who is descending on the world stage.

He Died For You Personally

This is one He has been on me to write so here it is.  Most of us do not truly understand the fullness of what happened on the cross when our Lord died for us.  Because we are human and not God we do not have the capacity or capability to do what He did.  What do you mean?

When our Lord Jesus was on that cross, when He was dieing for our sins, He did it for all mankind.  We know that.  What is less clear is our Lord's ability to compress and expand time.  What does that mean?  It means there are times we can understand where a minute feels like an hour or an entire day flies by in what seems like a minute.  Its time compression and expansion.  This is what our Lord impressed upon this writer to share with you:

You personally were not 'lost in the shuffle' in our Lord's attention as He died for all mankind on that cross.  On that day, each one of us individually had what seemed like an eternity of attention by our Lord Jesus Christ as He died for us.  This is something only an all powerful omniscient God can do.  He is everywhere at once.  He does not live in time, time lives in him.  These are things hard for us to understand but understand this.  When our Lord was hanging on that cross shedding His blood, He did it for you personally with His full attention on you as He did it.  You were not some blur as all the names of mankind flashed by His eyes that would be the way a finite being would have to process the event, one things at a time.

He was able to process all of us at the same time, with His full unwavering attention on each one of us as an individual at the same time He saw all of us collectively.  Its hard to wrap our mortal brains around it but the point is, He wants us to know how we were loved then and how we are loved now.  He wants us to know how special we are to Him, then and now.

And we in return are to hold Him in the same regard.  He is the most special and cherished things in our lives.  We recognize what He did for us and we love Him for it.  When He died on that cross you might as well consider He spent the entire time looking at you and thinking about you specifically as an individual as He died for you because that is what happened.  Only He could do this while at the same time doing the exact same thing with everyone else He died for.

Thank you thank you Lord Jesus Christ for what you did for us.  We love you!

Ecc 3:1To every thing there is a season, and a time to every purpose under the heaven:

As we look around the world we see a global backlash against establishment/corrupt politicians.  Why now?  People have lived happily with corrupt politicians for decades if not hundreds of years without a second thought.  Why now?  Because there is a time for every purpose under heaven.  Who really brought about Brexit in the UK?  The Lord did.  Why really put Trump in office?  The Lord did.  Who is sweeping Europe with anti-establishment movements?  The Lord is behind all of this.

Ps 119:91 Your laws endure to this day, for all things serve you.

Trust in politicians has been declining for years but it has now reached a breaking point which is why we are seeing these movements.  The Lord has lit a spotlight and aimed it directly at the corruption/rotten wickedness that has been taking place around the world for years.  Even so, look at how many people still cling to the rotten, the wickedness in spite of the overwhelming proof exposed that what they are supporting is rotten.  This is the journey into the last days.  Nobody will be able to say "we didn't know" or "we did not see that" when a divine spotlight has been squarely focused on all of it.

In a sense this is the beginning of separation of the wheat from the chaff.  The removal of ignorance of the corruption means the people who still support it are left without excuse.  The Word of the Lord tells us this trend will continue into the end.  The Lord will continue to send wave after wave of exposure and judgement on the earth to leave people without excuse if they hold onto the wickedness and darkness present in this world.

Rev 9:13And the sixth angel sounded, and I heard a voice from the four horns of the golden altar which is before God, 14Saying to the sixth angel which had the trumpet, Loose the four angels which are bound in the great river Euphrates. 15And the four angels were loosed, which were prepared for an hour, and a day, and a month, and a year, for to slay the third part of men. 16And the number of the army of the horsemen were two hundred thousand thousand: and I heard the number of them. 17And thus I saw the horses in the vision, and them that sat on them, having breastplates of fire, and of jacinth, and brimstone: and the heads of the horses were as the heads of lions; and out of their mouths issued fire and smoke and brimstone. 18By these three was the third part of men killed, by the fire, and by the smoke, and by the brimstone, which issued out of their mouths. 19For their power is in their mouth, and in their tails: for their tails were like unto serpents, and had heads, and with them they do hurt.
20And the rest of the men which were not killed by these plagues yet repented not of the works of their hands, that they should not worship devils, and idols of gold, and silver, and brass, and stone, and of wood: which neither can see, nor hear, nor walk: 21Neither repented they of their murders, nor of their sorceries, nor of their fornication, nor of their thefts.

What is this telling us ^^?  The heat continues to be ratcheted up on mankind to leave not excuse, no explanation whatsoever for what they are holding onto other than pure wickedness and they choose that wickedness over righteousness.  This world has been in a steady descent away from the Lord for years.  The removal of everything that is godly in the public sphere along with the approval of the masses is what has the world in the mess it finds itself in now.

We do not have to guess what is going to happen, we already know.  The Lord laid out a clear roadmap for us and we can see the world progressing down the road on this map through this very day.  This brings us back to the current rejection of establishment politicians around the world.  People have had it with politics and politicians and they are looking for an alternative.  The fact that we see a fairly equal split (at least currently) between those holding onto the exposed rotten establishment and those who want something else hints at more extreme change in the future.

Unfortunately for those who think Brexit or Trump is going to save them, the purpose of the current rejection of the corrupt establishment is not to promote earthly alternatives but a Divine alternative.  We are all going to learn that only "thy kingdom come and thy will be done" is going to work.  It is mankind, doing his own thing his own way that has brought us to this point of things getting worse not better all around the world.  Until this world bows the knee and confesses that Jesus Christ and our Father in heaven are the only way out of this, there is no end in sight for the troubles in store for this world.

The current political upheaval will eventually result in people being so polarized and traumatized by the political conflict that they will find themselves in a place where they are looking for a savior.  The true Savior has been offered to this world for thousands of years, however the world's rejection of the true Savior will result in a false savior, also known as the anti-Christ being presented to the world.  This anti-Christ they will accept.

2 Thess 2:1Now we beseech you, brethren, by the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ, and by our gathering together unto him, 2That ye be not soon shaken in mind, or be troubled, neither by spirit, nor by word, nor by letter as from us, as that the day of Christ is at hand. 3Let no man deceive you by any means: for that day shall not come, except there come a falling away first, and that man of sin be revealed, the son of perdition; 4Who opposeth and exalteth himself above all that is called God, or that is worshipped; so that he as God sitteth in the temple of God, shewing himself that he is God. 5Remember ye not, that, when I was yet with you, I told you these things? 6And now ye know what withholdeth that he might be revealed in his time. 7For the mystery of iniquity doth already work: only he who now letteth will let, until he be taken out of the way. 8And then shall that Wicked be revealed, whom the Lord shall consume with the spirit of his mouth, and shall destroy with the brightness of his coming: 9Even him, whose coming is after the working of Satan with all power and signs and lying wonders, 10And with all deceivableness of unrighteousness in them that perish; because they received not the love of the truth, that they might be saved. 11And for this cause God shall send them strong delusion, that they should believe a lie: 12That they all might be damned who believed not the truth, but had pleasure in unrighteousness.

None of this has happened overnight.  It has taken years to bring the world to this point and it will take years in the future to conclude the matter.  The long process is necessary to test the inhabitants of the earth.  The test is a test of time.  Time tests all things.  Time tests commitments to everything and anything, how much more our commitment to what is good or evil.

As we watch this world spin out of control and we see the evil continue to prosper seemingly without judgement we are not to despair.  The Lord has nudged this writer to a new favorite psalm that keeps everything in perfect perspective and helps encourage us to stay in a place peace without getting over anxious about the increasing expose of wickedness around us.  Here it is:

Psalm 37:1
1{A Psalm of David.}
Fret not thyself because of evildoers, neither be thou envious against the workers of iniquity.
2For they shall soon be cut down like the grass, and wither as the green herb.
3Trust in the LORD, and do good; so shalt thou dwell in the land, and verily thou shalt be fed.
4Delight thyself also in the LORD; and he shall give thee the desires of thine heart.
5Commit thy way unto the LORD; trust also in him; and he shall bring it to pass.
6And he shall bring forth thy righteousness as the light, and thy judgment as the noonday.
7Rest in the LORD, and wait patiently for him: fret not thyself because of him who prospereth in his way, because of the man who bringeth wicked devices to pass.

Trust in the Lord.  Delight in the Lord.  Rest in the Lord.  The wicked will be cut down like grass.  When we see the wicked (seemingly) get away with murder, fraud, abuse of every kind, they are really getting away with nothing.  Notes are being taken and a time has been assigned to judge all of it.  We do not have to get upset or angry about any of it.  It is not us who will repay or make things right, it is the Lord who will do it.  That's good news.  We have been told how to deal with all of what we see around us.  Trust, delight, rest in the Lord.  He will make things right.  In the meantime, do good

3Trust in the LORD, and do good; so shalt thou dwell in the land, and verily thou shalt be fed.

This is not rocket science.  We just have to do what the Lord told us to do and be patient.

7Rest in the LORD, and wait patiently for him

Be patient, time will test everything and our Lord has everything under control.  Glory to God.

Watching For The Lord's Return

1 Peter 4:7  But the end of all things is at hand: be ye therefore sober, and watch unto prayer.

I was praying the other night when the Spirit of the Lord deposited this eye opener into my spirit.  Hopefully I can get across the point that was communicated.  The basic idea is not a new one.  Those mid trib, "pre-wrath" and post-trib die hards to absolutely refuse to watch and pray for the Lord's any time imminent return might be in trouble.  It is not their erroneous doctrine per say that will cause them problems (i.e. believing in mid trib rapture etc), rather their problem lies in their refusal to do what they were told to do, which is watch for the Lord's unexpected return which He made a point of beating that message into the ground:

Mark 13:32But of that day and that hour knoweth no man, no, not the angels which are in heaven, neither the Son, but the Father.
33Take ye heed, watch and pray: for ye know not when the time is. 34For the Son of man is as a man taking a far journey, who left his house, and gave authority to his servants, and to every man his work, and commanded the porter to watch. 35Watch ye therefore: for ye know not when the master of the house cometh, at even, or at midnight, or at the cockcrowing, or in the morning: 36Lest coming suddenly he find you sleeping. 37And what I say unto you I say unto all, Watch.

The Lord, The God of all creation communicates with an economy of words.  He, being the master writer has no need to write wordy rambling messages to us because He is infinitely wise and can communicate perfectly His message in the minimum words necessary to do the job.  Which is why we need to pay more attention when we see Him repeat Himself 4 times in 5 verses as we see above.

What the Spirit impressed upon this writer is a no brainer we should all already know.  What we believe matters.  What we expect, watch for, intend, pray for, all matters.  Or why would our Lord write this to us:

Mark 11:24 Therefore I tell you, whatever you ask for in prayer, believe that you have received it, and it will be yours.

When we combine this idea ^^ with the matter of obedience:

John 14:15 If ye love me, keep my commandments.

We get a 1:2 punch as it relates to this idea of watching and praying for the Lord's return.

To wrap this all together, we are told to be watching for the Lord's unexpected return.  How do we "watch?"  We do it as 1 Peter 4:7 tells us, through prayer.  And what is an example of one of these "watching" prayers?  Consider this one:

Luke 21:34And take heed to yourselves, lest at any time your hearts be overcharged with surfeiting, and drunkenness, and cares of this life, and so that day come upon you unawares. 35For as a snare shall it come on all them that dwell on the face of the whole earth. 36Watch ye therefore, and pray always, that ye may be accounted worthy to escape all these things that shall come to pass, and to stand before the Son of man.

We were told right here ^^ in no uncertain terms that we should be praying that we may be counted worthy to escape all that is about to come to pass and stand before our Lord.  In that same sentence our Lord combines the idea of watching with prayer just as we read in 1 Peter 4:7 above.

^^And this idea becomes a real problem for the mid-pre-wrath-post trib crowd as they both 1. know what they were told to do (pray to escape all that is about to happen) and 2. refuse to do it (willfully disobey).  And why would they obey the direct command of the Lord to pray for an escape from all when they have knowingly, willfully accepted another doctrine that directly contradicts the Lord's own commands and considered their own doctrines superior to the Word and commands of the Lord?

What happens to those who are not found watching?

Rev 3:3 Remember therefore how thou hast received and heard, and hold fast, and repent. If therefore thou shalt not watch, I will come on thee as a thief, and thou shalt not know what hour I will come upon thee.

Matt 25:1Then shall the kingdom of heaven be likened unto ten virgins, which took their lamps, and went forth to meet the bridegroom. 2And five of them were wise, and five were foolish. 3They that were foolish took their lamps, and took no oil with them: 4But the wise took oil in their vessels with their lamps. 5While the bridegroom tarried, they all slumbered and slept. 6And at midnight there was a cry made, Behold, the bridegroom cometh; go ye out to meet him. 7Then all those virgins arose, and trimmed their lamps. 8And the foolish said unto the wise, Give us of your oil; for our lamps are gone out. 9But the wise answered, saying, Not so; lest there be not enough for us and you: but go ye rather to them that sell, and buy for yourselves. 10And while they went to buy, the bridegroom came; and they that were ready went in with him to the marriage: and the door was shut. 11Afterward came also the other virgins, saying, Lord, Lord, open to us. 12But he answered and said, Verily I say unto you, I know you not. 13Watch therefore, for ye know neither the day nor the hour wherein the Son of man cometh.

What this all really comes down to is not as much a matter of say the mid-trib doctrine itself (or pre-wrath, post-trib) as it is a major problem with lack of obedience.  Who knows, maybe the mid-trib folks are correct and the escape takes place in the middle of the tribulation, if that was the case, we should have all been watching and praying for the unexpected return of the Lord and escape every single day up until the middle of the tribulation.  Its called obedience.  Its a matter of placing more weight and importance on the direct, unambiguous commands of the Lord than our own interpretations of the more ambiguous portions of scripture like the timing of the unexpected return of the Lord.

This means we should not be as dogmatic about the timing (pre, mid, post trib) of the Lord's unexpected return and more dogmatic about doing the things that we were clearly told to do and we have no shred of a doubt about.  Said another way, we can debate the timing of the rapture but we cannot debate the command to watch and pray for the Lord's unexpected return and or the escape, every day.

The elegance of the logic is another proof it comes from the Lord and not from man.  If you are watching and praying for the unexpected return of the Lord/rapture every day you cannot miss it.  You cannot be caught "not watching" if you are watching through prayer every day.  If the timing of this unexpected event takes place either pre, mid or post tribulation you cannot be wrong watching and praying every day for the Lords unexpected return.  Those, on the other hand, who refuse to watch and pray for the escape today could have some real problems if this unexpected event takes place before their dogmatic doctrine stance.

This was a real eye opener for this writer even though there is nothing new in it per se but they way it was impressed led to an "ah ha" moment.  All we have to do is exactly what we were told to do.  We do not have to figure everything else out, just do the things we were clearly told to do and the rest that is less clear will take care of itself.  Glory to God!

Encouragement From The Lord

I haven't posted in awhile in part because I have had gout for weeks that has moved back and forth between my feet and been quite painful.  It is almost gone but one toe is holding out, please pray that the Lord will heal this last part of my foot so I can get back to 100%.

I have been asking the Lord about what the future holds as I see the United States circling the drain of history.  Power is in the process of shifting from west to east with Russia and China rising while the United States and western Europe in decline.  If you look at politics in the United States today you can see we are not far removed from that movie idiocracy.

The "news" today has devolved to the point where I literally cannot stomach it for more than a couple minutes regardless of the source.  It has become toxic.  Here is where the Lord has stepped in with some Divine wisdom that confirms more or less why the "news" should for the most part be off limits for us.  Consider:

8 Finally, brethren, whatsoever things are true, whatsoever things are honest, whatsoever things are just, whatsoever things are pure, whatsoever things are lovely, whatsoever things are of good report; if there be any virtue, and if there be any praise, think on these things. 9Those things, which ye have both learned, and received, and heard, and seen in me, do: and the God of peace shall be with you.

Is there anything true, honest, just, pure, lovely, of good report, anything of virtue or praise in the news anymore?  I cant find it.  So how much time should we devote to it?  Little if any.  I wonder how much time our Lord spent reading the Roman newspapers of His day?  He didn't have to keep up with the news because He was (and is) the news.....

I have found myself encouraged by moving away from this world's toxicity according to what we read in Phil 4 above.  After Phil 4 we can consider this:

Psalm 37:7 Rest in the LORD, and wait patiently for him: fret not thyself because of him who prospereth in his way, because of the man who bringeth wicked devices to pass.

While the world agonizes over which political, social and economic solution will fix their spiritual problem and things continue to get worse (they should pause to wonder why nothing seems to fix their ever growing problems), we are to rest.  We are to rest, and be patient.  We are not to fret over the evil we see all around us growing by the day.

Be patient and rest.  Thats good news indeed.  Where have we heard something like this before?  Maybe here:

Rev 3:10Because thou hast kept the word of my patience, I also will keep thee from the hour of temptation, which shall come upon all the world, to try them that dwell upon the earth.

We do not know when the Lord is going to do what He said He would do but we know with certainty He will do what He said He would do.  We know we should not fret over all of the wicked who appear to get away with murder, fraud, deceit and wickedness of every kind without being brought to justice.  We know we should be patient and rest in the Lord.  And.....we know we should be watching for His unexpected coming at any time.

The Lord is coming back.  We are not focused on the coming of anti-Christ, we are focused on the unexpected, surprise, "secret" coming of the Lord Jesus Christ who told us over and over and over again to be watching for His surprise unexpected coming.

Mark 13
32But of that day and that hour knoweth no man, no, not the angels which are in heaven, neither the Son, but the Father.

The Lord our God who cannot lie told us emphatically He is coming back and it will be a surprise:

32But of that day and that hour knoweth no man, no, not the angels which are in heaven, neither the Son, but the Father.

When the Son of God, our Lord Jesus Christ doesn't even know, yea I think we can call it a secret.

So, we should be resting in the Lord, watching for our Lord's return and all the while doing that work that our Lord has equipped us to do.  We are all different with different talents and abilities which we should be putting to use as the Spirit of the Lord directs us.

Rom 8:14 For as many as are led by the Spirit of God, they are the sons of God.

Be encouraged.  We are in this world but we are not of this world.  We have some fantastic promises made to us by Almighty God who cannot and does not lie.  We are hanging onto those promises as we watch for His return.  This world is in for trouble and more trouble but we are not to be troubled.  Rest in Him.  Stay in the Word, let it encourage you, guide you, guard you and provide for you (and me) as we walk through this world on the way into His kingdom.

grace and peace

(please don't forget to pray for the complete removal of gout and/or whatever else may be causing pain in my feet.  Thank you!!  :-)
