Ebola and The Fall of Babylon

According to this article, Obama, his state department and DHS plan to bring in non-citizen African ebola patients to the US at a cost of over $300,000 per patient.

I asked the Lord about this, since this is His blog. Is there anything about this story that can be linked to you, your kingdom and our current situation as it is outlined in Your Word?  What does ebola and Obama and what is happening around us have to do with what is written in the Word of God?

I asked the Lord and within seconds Jeremiah 50-51 popped into my mind.  What does this story have to do with the fall of Babylon?  Jeremiah 50-51 talks about the two Babylons, the old one and the new one.  Both had destruction decreed against them.

There is a future Babylon that is discussed in Jer 50-51.  That Babylon has some key characteristics that can in no way be ascribed to ancient Babylon like:

23How broken and shattered
is the hammer of the whole earth!

Notice the word choice.  The Lord used whole earth and not "whatever nations existed on that side of the world at that time."  No, this future Babylon is the hammer of the whole earth.  Can any other nation take that mantle upon itself other than the United States?

Here again, same language:

7Babylon was a gold cup in the Lord’s hand;
she made the whole earth drunk.
The nations drank her wine;
therefore they have now gone mad.
8Babylon will suddenly fall and be broken.
Wail over her!

Not some of the nations in her region, the whole earth....

The nations drank her wine therefore they have now gone mad.  Who else exports the amount of war, porn, debt, political influence, filth out of Hollywood etc and the whole earth consumes it?  Where was the world trade center?  Where is the United Nations located?  There is no other, only America. The shoe fits only one.

The Lord will carry out his purpose,
his decree against the people of Babylon.
13You who live by many waters
and are rich in treasures,
your end has come,
the time for you to be destroyed.
14The Lord Almighty has sworn by himself:
I will surely fill you with troops, as with a swarm of locusts,
and they will shout in triumph over you.

Did ancient Babylon live by many waters?  It sat bordering the Persian Gulf and had two major rivers running through it, compare that to the waters America sits by, and the rivers running through America.  Again, no contest.

There is no amount of proof you can show some people, but the fact is America is being destroyed before our eyes, day by day.  Maybe ebola turns out not to be a big deal for America but her treasury is being plundered by acts such as this.  We can't even protect our own nurses and doctors so lets import more of this bio-safety level 4 pathogen.

It was said here when Obama was elected, the people do not get who they vote for, they get who they deserve.

29“Summon archers against Babylon,
all those who draw the bow.
Encamp all around her;
let no one escape.
Repay her for her deeds;
do to her as she has done.
For she has defied the Lord,
the Holy One of Israel.
30Therefore, her young men will fall in the streets;
all her soldiers will be silenced in that day,”

Simple question here, has America defied the Lord?  I don't know, perhaps taking prayer out of schools, removing ten commandments from every courtroom, promoting homosexuality and every form of immorality, and flaunting every sin known to man and God in the Lord's face might qualify.  You be the judge.

The same complacency that allowed all of this ^^ is also letting in destroyers like ebola.  How is America doing these days?  How is the economy?  How is her status in the world these days?  How is her weather?  How are food prices looking?  How is the social fabric holding up?  What is the status of one American's love for another these days?  Is the rest of the world better off?  Remember: 7Babylon was a gold cup in the Lord’s hand; she made the whole earth drunk.

Don't take my word for any of this, just look around.

What is the outlook for Babylon?

Jer 51:6“Flee from Babylon!
Run for your lives!
Do not be destroyed because of her sins.
It is time for the Lord’s vengeance;
he will repay her what she deserves.
7Babylon was a gold cup in the Lord’s hand;
she made the whole earth drunk.
The nations drank her wine;
therefore they have now gone mad.
8Babylon will suddenly fall and be broken.
Wail over her!
Get balm for her pain;
perhaps she can be healed.
9“ ‘We would have healed Babylon,
but she cannot be healed;
let us leave her and each go to our own land,
for her judgment reaches to the skies,
it rises as high as the heavens.’

and a final nail in the coffin for those who say Jeremiah 50-51 is all old news for a bygone nation.  An absolute direct irrefutable link between Jeremiah 51 and Rev 18.  Read Jeremiah 51 above and Revelation 18 below, see any similarities?

Rev 18:1And after these things I saw another angel come down from heaven, having great power; and the earth was made bright with his glory.
2And he cried mightily with a strong voice, saying, Babylon the great is fallen, is fallen, and is become the habitation of demons, and the haunt of every foul spirit, and a cage of every unclean and hateful bird.
3For all nations have drunk of the wine of the wrath of her fornication, and the kings of the earth have committed fornication with her, and the merchants of the earth have grown rich through the abundance of her luxury.
4And I heard another voice from heaven, saying, Come out of her, my people, that you be not partakers of her sins, and that you receive not of her plagues.
5For her sins have reached unto heaven, and God has remembered her iniquities.

The people of this world are desperately clinging to their business as usual mindset, but when you read the book of Revelation and the Words of the prophets like Jeremiah you see that the Lord is going to get this worlds attention even if it means the end of them.  They will continue to deny and bury their heads through plagues and famines, supernatural signs the heavens and other supernatural disasters that stagger the imagination.  Through it all they will tell themselves if they just ignore it long enough it will all go away.  Not this time.

Is that it?  Just doom and more doom?  Not for the righteous.  If we repent and walk and talk with the Lord in faith and obedience.  We will have His peace and His protection.  All of us are not called to the same mission.  Some die martyrs, some do not.  Some are destined to be priests, some to be kings.

Rev 59And they sang a new song, saying, You are worthy to take the scroll, and to open the seals thereof: for you were slain, and have redeemed us to God by your blood out of every tribe, and tongue, and people, and nation;
10And have made us unto our God a kingdom and priests: and we shall reign on the earth.

 Do all have the same mission?  Do all require the same training for their eternal destiny in Christ?  Or do we believe everything that happens to us on this earth is just suffering for no reason?

1 Cor 1212For as the body is one, and has many members, and all the members of that one body, being many, are one body: so also is Christ.
13For by one Spirit were we all baptized into one body, whether we be Jews or Gentiles, whether we be bond or free; and have been all made to drink into one Spirit.
14For the body is not one member, but many.
15If the foot shall say, Because I am not the hand, I am not of the body; is it therefore not of the body?
16And if the ear shall say, Because I am not the eye, I am not of the body; is it therefore not of the body?
17If the whole body were an eye, where would be the hearing? If the whole were hearing, where would be the smelling?
18But now has God set the members every one of them in the body, as it has pleased him.

Now would be a good time to repent and perfect our walk with the Lord.  He has not given us confusion or a mission that is hard to understand:

Isaiah 3.10Say you to the righteous, that it shall be well with him: for they shall eat the fruit of their deeds.
11Woe unto the wicked! it shall be ill with him: for the reward of his hands shall be done to him.

Babylon is falling, right before our very eyes.  Today it is a trickle of destruction, some day it will be a flood.  This ebola thing is a sample of what is to come but not just for Babylon.  Today's slow but steady stream of bad news is a window of opportunity for people to wake up and repent.  It is a window for the righteous to perfect their walk with the Lord and prepare themselves for His presence.  Nobody knows when things will happen but we know what (promises in the book of Revelation, Daniel, Jeremiah, Isaiah etc) are about to happen.  The time to prepare is now.
