He has been warning about the bond market implosion for years but as of right now, using my analytic tools I can see the wave coming and it will be a monster. What is coming? An absolute monster bond market implosion. What will happen when the bond markets implode? When bond prices go down, interest rates go up so guess whats going to happen to the absolutely massive, historic level mountain of government debt when rates go up? The debt is going to go stratospheric because of the interest payments due on it.
If governments are getting draconian now because of funding deficits what is going to happen when no one will buy their debt anymore at a time when what they owe has gone stratospheric? It ends very very badly. To imagine what happens just answer some simple questions:
What happens when all of the EBT/welfare cards are no longer funded?
What happens when all of the government bonds in retirement funds become worthless?
What happens when the only thing a government can offer to pay military and police is food (that they have been stockpiling for years)?
You get the point right? The central banks are never, ever going to raise rates, now everyone knows this. Mr Armstrong tells us the big bang date for the bond market is October 2015. I can see the wave coming from where I sit 4 months ahead of that date.
Whats the point? The point is, in the past we have had any number of false alarms but this time we can see the game changer coming. World governments are months away from bankruptcy. One might argue that they have been bankrupt for some time but what makes this time different is the markets are acknowledging that bankruptcy by selling bonds. Selling bonds means interest rates go up whether the central banks like it or want it, they will go up. When they go up, governments around the world have a budget problem that cannot be kicked down the road another 6 months as they have been doing now for 4 or so years.
Broke governments leads us to this idea that Mr Armstrong has been writing about-the cashless society that is coming. We always wondered what reasoning would be behind eliminating cash, now we know. The 'brilliant' minds behind the curtain in government are telling policy makers if cash were eliminated there could no longer be bank runs during an economic implosion so cash should be eliminated. To make that thinking more insane they say no cash plus negative interest rates on savings will force people to spend and rescue the economy. Who would have thought such brain dead thinking would be the impetus behind a cashless society.
Where is the Biblical tie in? The economic collapse will usher in: the anti-Christ, the mark of the beast, and wars until the very end just as our Lord predicted thousands of years ago. But that's not the big news, the big news is the timing. According to Martin the big bang begins in 4 months: Oct 2015. I am telling you as well that my analytic software is showing a monster sell off wave for the bond market coming (just as Martin said it would.) So the short version is, it is almost upon us.
Yes, this time it is different. No, this time burying the head in the sand will not work. The lines that connect the dots to everything the Lord said would happen has reached back to connect today's dot with everything that is coming.
History repeats itself for a reason. People will dismiss this warning along with Martins warning along with the most important warnings the Lord gave us thousands of years ago. They will continue to do what they have always done: pretend and extend except this time there will be no extend. The crash that is coming will be historic. The cashless society that leads to the mark of the beast is being discussed behind closed doors right now (read Martin's blog for details).
When does Mr Armstrong predict the big bang to happen? Days from the Shemitah. Days from the day of atonement/Yom Kippur. Days from the last blood moon of the 2014-2015 tetrad. Right, this time the Lord has his own neon signs hanging out to warn the people. This time will most certainly be different.
Where is the hope in all this? How will we survive a historic economic collapse and all its attendant horrors? The same way the Lord's people always have, we keep our eyes focused on Him. He will have to provide or we will all perish. He will have to protect or we will all perish. It is and was and always will be the Lord God who provides and protects us. The only way this brother who writes to you has food on his table or clothes on his back or a roof over his head is because the Lord God provided it. I have no illusions whatsoever about where my provision comes from. If it comes from Him today where will it come from tomorrow? From Him.
The Word is overflowing with promises for us for times just like this:
Psalm 37.25 I was young and now I am old, yet I have never seen the righteous forsaken or their children begging bread.
Job 5:20 In famine he shall redeem thee from death: and in war from the power of the sword.
Psalm 37:19 They shall not be ashamed in the evil time: and in the days of famine they shall be satisfied.
Through faith and patience we inherit the promises. For the world seeing is believing, for us believing is seeing.
2 Cor 5:7 For we live by faith, not by sight.
Isa 8:11For the LORD spake thus to me with a strong hand, and instructed me that I should not walk in the way of this people, saying,
12Say ye not, A confederacy, to all them to whom this people shall say, A confederacy; neither fear ye their fear, nor be afraid.
13Sanctify the LORD of hosts himself; and let him be your fear, and let him be your dread.
The only fear we should have is the fear of the Lord. Fear Him alone, those are His Words not mine. All the rest of this stuff going on around us, do not fear it. Depending on how long the Lord leaves us here we may have to live as Israel did in the exodus. Who provided food and water in a sun scorched wilderness for 40 years? The same God who loves us and watches over us today.
It is time to tie up loose ends and clean up whatever needs to be cleaned up. It is time to do whatever little things our strength will allow us to do to move closer to our Lord and do what pleases Him. Do what you can with what you have. If you can move forward toward the Lord an inch, then move an inch.
2 Cor 8:12 For if there be first a willing mind, it is accepted according to that a man hath, and not according to that he hath not.
Do what you can do, where you are, with what strength you have to please the Lord. Time is short.
