A God Who Answers Prayer

What is the Spirit of the Lord saying to the Church today?

Encourage the saints.  Thats it.  That is what the Spirit of the Lord is saying to this nobody who writes to you today.  So this nobody asks, "okay Lord, what Word will you give me to give the Church that will refresh the weary and satisfy the faint?"

Jer 31:25 "I will refresh the weary and satisfy the faint."

What is it the Lord would encourage us with?  We serve a God who answers prayer.  That is my testimony.  His Word has been tested on this point forward, and backward, and sideways.  Yes, He does answer the prayers of His people.  He has answered the prayers of this nobody and I am a nobody.  There is nothing special about me.  If He answers my prayers He will answer yours as well.  I know there are many people who say "yea?  well He doesn't answer mine brother D."  To which I would have to respond that is between that person and the Lord.  If there is nothing special about this nobody who writes to you and this nobody has had his prayers answered how did that happen?

Our God responds to faith and His Word period.  Yep, thats the 'secret.'  Faith and His Word. We bring Him our faith and His Word and we get answers.  Is there another aspect to it?  I suppose we also need to add that we must pray according to His will:

Thy kingdom come, thy will be done....

and

1 John 5:14This is the confidence we have in approaching God: that if we ask anything according to his will, he hears us. 15And if we know that he hears us—whatever we ask—we know that we have what we asked of him.

This ^^ then begs the question, "okay how do we know we are praying according to His will?"  We know it from His Word and His Spirit who lives within us.  If what we are praying for is not specifically mentioned in His Word then we need to combine what is written with our faith and what the Spirit says.  How do we know what the Spirit is saying about what we are praying for?  We know it by the peace or lack of it when we center that request in our spirits and present it to the Lord.  We know by the peace we have about this request over time.  We pray and we pray with persistence.

I can tell you that in times past when there was something I was doing or praying about and the Lord really did not want me to move forward on it it was like my guts were being turned inside out-thats the best way I can explain the sense I had about that thing.  Not only did I not have peace about it my insides were in active turmoil.  That, is a no....

Many times the answer will be yes, but wait.  If you are actively praying about your issues, bringing your faith and His Word back to Him in prayer and you do not have turmoil in your spirit about the issue (you dont know is different from active turmoil) then keep on praying for what you are asking for.  There are specific things that are off limits and there are things the Lord knows we cannot have or do, everything else is negotiable.

If you have the faith for it, and His Word and His Will permit it, mountains can and will be moved for you:

Mark 9:23 And Jesus said to him, "'If You can?' All things are possible to him who believes."

Moving mountains (most of the time) takes time.  Once the Lord hears and grants your request, then He has to go about preparing the way for you.  That means in some cases He has to move other lives and events around ahead of you to make way for you and your request.  For example if you need a job in another city and you ask the Lord for that job in another city and He grants your request but there are no openings in that job right now, a job opening has to be created which means other people and their lives have to be moved around which means buying and selling houses, kids, cars, movers and the other one million and one details have to be guided to make a spot for you.

You get the idea.

Our God answers the prayers of His people today.  Our God performs miracles for His people today.  This brother is a living testimony to these indisputable facts.  These things are facts because our God says they are facts:

Matt 7:7Ask and it will be given to you; seek and you will find; knock and the door will be opened to you. 8For everyone who asks receives; he who seeks finds; and to him who knocks, the door will be opened.

This Word ^^ has been tested by generations of the faithful and it has been found to be true.  Our Lord cannot lie, nor does He have a need to lie, He is Almighty, all knowing, all powerful.  He is more than capable of backing up every Word He has given us.

Mark 9:23 And Jesus said to him, "'If You can?' All things are possible to him who believes."

Just think about that statement ^^ for a moment, ALL things are possible to him (or her) who believes.  That is a fact.  This nobody has seen multiple miracles in his life.  In the course of receiving these miracles the Spirit instructed this writer that part of the work I had to do as a recipient of these miracle answers was to testify that our God meant what He said in His Word.  He said it, He meant it, every Word of it.  So, today this writer is doing his job by telling you our God meant what He said when He said it.  If nobody, nothings like me can pray and receive miracle answers so can you.  How?  Pick up the Word of the Living God and do what He said to do.  Pray, ask, seek, knock, believe and receive your answers.

Yes, it involves patience.  Yes, patience involves suffering.  But when you get your miracle the patience and suffering immediately take a back seat to your answer, praise and rejoicing.  Don't believe a word I am saying, believe what God Almighty said.  He said ask seek knock because everyone who asks receives.  Believe that!

Our God can resist anything but one thing He never resists is our faith and His Word.  Our faith combined with His Word will move mountains:

Mark 11:23"Truly I say to you, whoever says to this mountain, 'Be taken up and cast into the sea,' and does not doubt in his heart, but believes that what he says is going to happen, it will be [granted] him. 24"Therefore I say to you, all things for which you pray and ask, believe that you have received them, and they will be [granted] you

This is the encouragement this nobody has for you today, that our God hears prayer, and He answers prayers today as much as He ever has.  So, ask and continue asking.  Knock and continue knocking.  Seek and continue seeking.  Remember the example of the unjust judge:

Luke 18:1And he spake a parable unto them to this end, that men ought always to pray, and not to faint; 2Saying, There was in a city a judge, which feared not God, neither regarded man: 3And there was a widow in that city; and she came unto him, saying, Avenge me of mine adversary. 4And he would not for a while: but afterward he said within himself, Though I fear not God, nor regard man; 5Yet because this widow troubleth me, I will avenge her, lest by her continual coming she weary me. 6And the Lord said, Hear what the unjust judge saith. 7And shall not God avenge his own elect, which cry day and night unto him, though he bear long with them? 8I tell you that he will avenge them speedily. Nevertheless when the Son of man cometh, shall he find faith on the earth?

Ask in faith, bring His Word back to Him and do it with persistence.  You will have your answers.
