Mutually Assured Destruction

Mutually assured destruction is a phrase we remember from the cold war, but I think we can now use it for both Trump and the left.  In his first press conference Sean Spicer came out (at the direction of the new President) and roasted the press about crowd size at the inauguration.  So what you might ask?  So, with a laundry list of things to do a mile long, our president's ego just could not let it go.  I have heard many say "well the press deserved it."  Indeed they do, however we are talking about more weighty matters here.  We are talking about what this portends for the future:

Prov 16:18 Pride goes before destruction, a haughty spirit before a fall.

Anyone on the left who has an ounce of sense will attack this massive hole in Trump's armor until he undoes himself.

When I saw this first press conference I thought, wow, not good.  Then I asked the Lord "Lord, what is he (Sean Spicer) doing?  The answer?  The answer is Trump has a job to do, and that job is not to build bridges.  Well what is it?  Here's the visual the Lord gave me:

^^ This image is Trump's job^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^.  What so ironic is our Lord chose a builder to do this job.

Ok, so why is this going to be mutually assured destruction?  Because on the other side of the fence is this:

As time goes on, both sides of this fight are hardening, not softening their positions.  Again, so what?  The Lord hardens those He wants to destroy.  If you are looking at a person and you are not seeing even a shred of love, mercy, forgiveness, humility, they are on the road to destruction.  Can they be saved?  Sure, all things are possible with Almighty God but what did our Lord tell us?  What did He tell us was going to happen?

The second seal:

Rev 6:3When the Lamb opened the second seal, I heard the second living creature say, “Come!” 4Then another horse came out, a fiery red one. Its rider was given power to take peace from the earth and to make people kill each other. To him was given a large sword.

What we are seeing around us is the setup for  Revelation 6:3-4.  Is peace being taken from the earth?  You tell me.  Does the United States look like its at peace right now?  How about Germany?  France?  No, no and no?  Right....

There is a reason our Lord told us to pray "thy kingdom come and thy will be done."  Why?  Because mankind without the Lord God is doomed.  They are doomed to royally screwing up everything they put their hand to.  We need our God and we need Him right now.  This world and its people are going tear each other apart.

We did not choose any of this.  We did not want it, and we do not want it now.  We who are in Christ Jesus are aliens and strangers in this world.  Our God knows our hearts.  He knows those who are vexed just as Lot was

2 Peter 2:7And delivered just Lot, vexed with the filthy conversation of the wicked: 8(For that righteous man dwelling among them, in seeing and hearing, vexed his righteous soul from day to day with their unlawful deeds;)

Yes, just like Lot  in verses 7-8 we are vexed as we dwell among them.  But, and this is a BIG but, we have a promise in verse 9:

9The Lord knoweth how to deliver the godly out of temptations, and to reserve the unjust unto the day of judgment to be punished:

The Lord knows how to deliver us, yes He does.  Glory to God.  Trump is not going to save anyone, his job is to be a wrecking ball.  Salvation and deliverance, the great and precious promises of our Lord God to us are ours in Christ Jesus.  He knows how to deliver the godly out of temptations/trials.

Rev 3:10Because thou hast kept the word of my patience, I also will keep thee from the hour of temptation, which shall come upon all the world, to try them that dwell upon the earth.

Again, Glory to God.

May the grace and peace of God our Father and our Lord Jesus Christ be with you in abundance.
