Ps 32
8I will instruct you and teach you in the way you should go;
I will counsel you with my loving eye on you.
9Do not be like the horse or the mule,
which have no understanding
but must be controlled by bit and bridle
or they will not come to you.
This idea right here ^^^ is at the heart of what the Spirit of the Lord has been getting at, or pointing to alot recently. This world, the enemy, everything is competing for your attention. We need to get our attention back to our Creator. This attention recalibration is not a one time thing, it is a constant thing, a process. Life by its nature requires a variety of different things from us, which requires our attention to land in many different places through the course of a day. That is fine as long as within that day we have taking pit stops along the way to re-center (over and over) and re-focus (over and over) on the Lord our God.
The faster events in life move, the more frequent our pitstops need to be. Think of NASCAR, go too many laps on a set of tires without taking a pit stop and you are going to have problems.
The Lord our God is giving us what we need, when we need it. Right now it appears we are refocusing on fundamentals. In order to get higher order tasks right, we must get fundamentals right. A house is built from the foundation up. The foundation must be laid correctly for the rest of the house to sit correctly on that foundation. You get the idea.
