What are they telling people?  The earth may get smacked with a space rock and there would be no warning.  Uh huh.  Just like the people in Russia found out recently.  It is their way of saying "don't blame us" when the next one hits and you get no warning.

What they don't say is the governments of the world are spending billions of dollars preparing for some kind of cataclysmic event (Rev 6 and 8).  They know its coming and they are preparing for it.  To be fair, departing Secretary Napolitano did warn people.  What I find so interesting is how not one reporter pressed her on what she was referring to?  How can you say there is an unprecedented natural disaster coming and nobody asks her to elaborate?

She does not need to elaborate and neither does NASA.  We already know what is coming.  They have warned us in general terms but the Lord has warned the world in specific terms:

Rev 8:7 The first angel sounded, and there followed hail and fire mingled with blood, and they were cast upon the earth: and the third part of trees was burnt up, and all green grass was burnt up.

8And the second angel sounded, and as it were a great mountain burning with fire was cast into the sea: and the third part of the sea became blood; 9And the third part of the creatures which were in the sea, and had life, died; and the third part of the ships were destroyed.

10And the third angel sounded, and there fell a great star from heaven, burning as it were a lamp, and it fell upon the third part of the rivers, and upon the fountains of waters; 11And the name of the star is called Wormwood: and the third part of the waters became wormwood; and many men died of the waters, because they were made bitter.

12And the fourth angel sounded, and the third part of the sun was smitten, and the third part of the moon, and the third part of the stars; so as the third part of them was darkened, and the day shone not for a third part of it, and the night likewise.

13And I beheld, and heard an angel flying through the midst of heaven, saying with a loud voice, Woe, woe, woe, to the inhabiters of the earth by reason of the other voices of the trumpet of the three angels, which are yet to sound!

Would you characterize this ^^ as an "unprecedented natural disaster?"  I would.  So....someone, somewhere in government told Secretary Napolitano who in turn warned all of us, but who is listening?  Had NASA issued the same warning that Napolitano did it would have tipped their hand a little too much.

Whats the bottom line?  The world has been warned.  The massive space rock strike that hit Russia was a warning, the warning from DHS was another attempt to get through to people.  The most important warning came from God Almighty.  Try to talk to most people about this and they roll their eyes immediately.  They do not want to hear it.

The Lord never told any of us to ram His message down anyone's throat.  People are free to disregard, and scoff and roll their eyes.  We have all been given a free will.  Those of us who have friends and loved ones however have a special duty to use whatever opening we can in conversations to warn people.  They might not listen but we as friends and loved ones at least tried to get through to them.

More important than conversation is to pray for our friends and loved ones.  If we really believe that our prayers are powerful and effective how can we not ask the Lord to open their hearts before it is too late.  None of us knows the day or our of the Lord's appearance.  For this reason we were told to always be watching and ready.

 36Watch ye therefore, and pray always, that ye may be accounted worthy to escape all these things that shall come to pass, and to stand before the Son of man.

Mark 13:32But of that day and that hour knoweth no man, no, not the angels which are in heaven, neither the Son, but the Father.

Outgoing DHS Secretary Janet Napolitano Warns of ‘Serious’ Cyber Attack, Unprecedented Natural Disaster

So much for brother D being a conspiracy theorist....this is mainstream news and the DHS Secretary tell you to prepare for an unprecedented natural disaster.

Well thats curious, next week is the feast of trumpets, we have comet ISON coming in November and the lunar tetrads, solar eclipses etc etc, and now we get a statement like this.

Anyone who was sitting on the fence better hop off it it now.  When you have the .gov giving you a direct statement like that you know that its time to wake up.

Notice we did not hear what the disaster would be, just that it was coming.  One would almost think that people in high places might believe the Word of the Lord more literally than most normal folks do.  Why say that?  Well you just read what Napolitano said, and have you ever heard of the FEMA coffins stacked up all around the country?  I know there are many theories about them but I submit to you that they are there because once again people in high places believe the Lord is about to deliver on some promises.

Promises?  Yea, like this kind of promise:

Rev 6.7When the Lamb opened the fourth seal, I heard the voice of the fourth living creature say, “Come!”8I looked, and there before me was a pale horse! Its rider was named Death, and Hades was following close behind him. They were given power over a fourth of the earth to kill by sword, famine and plague, and by the wild beasts of the earth.

Rev 8.10The third angel sounded his trumpet, and a great star, blazing like a torch, fell from the sky on a third of the rivers and on the springs of water— 11the name of the star is Wormwood.^a A third of the waters turned bitter, and many people died from the waters that had become bitter.

Rev 9.13The sixth angel sounded his trumpet, and I heard a voice coming from the four horns of the golden altar that is before God. 14It said to the sixth angel who had the trumpet, “Release the four angels who are bound at the great river Euphrates.” 15And the four angels who had been kept ready for this very hour and day and month and year were released to kill a third of mankind. 16The number of the mounted troops was twice ten thousand times ten thousand. I heard their number.

That ^^^ is all bunched up in Rev 6-9.  Looks like a whole lot of people not living anymore (FEMA coffins).  The Lord said it and they believe it, question is do we?
