Change and The Rate of Change

As we look toward the future, we can plainly see that change is coming, in fact, its already here. Mr. Obama ran on a platform of change. Change is what people want, change is what they'll get, problem is, the change that's coming is not the change they were looking for.

A common mistake people make as they consider the future is to ascribe the rate of change they've seen in the past, to the future. The rate of change in many many cases has more of an impact than the change itself. We can see from history itself that the rate of change in this world is speeding up. Look at the rate of change in say, electronics as an example. No sooner have you purchased a new electronic whiz toy than its obsolete.

Current events are moving quickly. We have no way of knowing how fast things are going to happen tomorrow, but we do know some things that the bible tells us. The bible tells us "in the blink of an eye" the rapture will occur. Hows that for a "rate of change." The people I hear telling us that "the end is not yet" take no account of the shock value of the things predicted in the bible. Do you have any idea how transformative 'the escape' is going to be on this earth. What happens to a room when you take the light away from it in the blink of an eye? INSTANT darkness.

Jesus said he's coming 'like a thief.' One minute he is not there, then BAM, he's right in your face. No warning, it just happens. Consider the events of 9/11. One morning we all woke up and in the course of 1-2 hours, the world was changed FOREVER. The point is, the people saying "nah, the end is still aways off" don't get it. Look at how far the economy has tanked in just the past 2 months!

Here's a last thing I'll leave you with about what the future holds and change. The book of Revelation opens with Jesus speaking to the church Rev 2-3-come up here in Rev 4, then we see the anti-christ, war, famine, death ahd hell in Rev 6. IFFFFFF we are in the last days, and I believe we are, then Jesus is speaking to the churches RIGHT NOW, read Rev 1-4. The next event to happen is Rev 4, come up here (luke 21:36, Rev 3:10) and WAR.

I've been saying this for some time now, the rapture and war are next. Billions of people dieing is next (Rev 6). We are staring down the barrel of a gun called the tribulation. Jesus has already laid out his "get well" plan for the church in Rev 2-3. Matt 25 tells us that NOT EVERYONE who has called themself a 'christian' in the past or even today gets to go to the wedding. ONLY THOSE with OIL in their lamps go. What does that mean? Oil in the lamp means the Holy Spirit in YOU. How do you have the Holy Spirit in you? Remain in Christ. Jesus told us "REMAIN IN ME and I will remain in you."

John 15:4 "Abide in Me, and I in you. As the branch
... Remain in me, and I in you. As the branch can't bear fruit by itself, unless it remains in the vine, so neither can you, unless you remain in me

Jesus said you MUST remain "IN HIM." People need to figure out QUICKLY what remain/abide "in Christ" means.

What happens to those who do NOT remain 'in him?'

John 15:6 If a man abide not in me, he is cast forth as a branch, and is withered; and men gather them, and cast them into the fire, and they are burned.

The second that ANY once saved always saved teacher/preacher can prove to me how a man who is withered, gathered, cast into the fire and burned is 'saved' I'll change my mind. Until then, consider them threats to your eternal soul. Abide, is much more than "make a decision" its "make a decision and DON'T MOVE FROM IT" That's what remain means. If I tell you that I'm in Phoenix, Az and I'm going to REMAIN THERE. That means I DID'NT MOVE AWAY. Making a decision in 1965 to live in Phoenix, AZ TELLS YOU NOTHING about where I'm living NOW, get it?

I'm done
