2 Thess 2:3Let no one in any way deceive you, for it will not come unless the apostasy comes first, and the man of lawlessness is revealed, the son of destruction, 4who opposes and exalts himself above every so-called god or object of worship, so that he takes his seat in the temple of God, displaying himself as being God. 5Do you not remember that while I was still with you, I was telling you these things? 6And you know what restrains him now, so that in his time he will be revealed.
At the very same time that the politicians of this world have fallen into disfavor, the economy has reached a tipping point where one little nudge could send it over a cliff. What would that achieve? A new world economic system which is necessary for this:
Rev 13:16And he causes all, the small and the great, and the rich and the poor, and the free men and the slaves, to be given a mark on their right hand or on their forehead, 17and he provides that no one will be able to buy or to sell, except the one who has the mark, either the name of the beast or the number of his name. 18Here is wisdom. Let him who has understanding calculate the number of the beast, for the number is that of a man; and his number is six hundred and sixty-six.
So you see its not about Trump or Clinton. Its about 'he' who causes all to be given a mark.....
Is it also a coincidence that all this has come to a head during a Jubilee year? As of Oct 3-4 this Jubilee year comes to an end. This time (unless something happens in the next two weeks or so it was not about the 3rd Temple or Israel getting land back. This time it was once in history of the world special. It was about setting the stage for the man of sin to arrive.
While the world is caught up in boys entering girls bathrooms and what color skin we all have or who waited in line to get the iphone 7 first (you know, the really important things..../sarcasm off), the anti-christ will hit this earth with a thunderclap. While this world is busy with its inane drivel, the devil will be taking his gloves off to slaughter, rape, steal, and pillage on a scale this world has never seen.
How do we know this ^^ is going to happen? It is the net effect of this:
2 Thess 2:7 For the mystery of lawlessness is already at work; only he who now restrains will do so until he is taken out of the way.
As bad as people think things are in the world right now, it is all being done under restraint. What they really want to do they cannot do until "he who now restrains" is taken out of the way. So, while there is no big event on people's radar at the moment, all the pieces have been divinely arranged on the chessboard to begin the time of Jacob's trouble.
No we cannot give times and dates but do we need them? What did our Lord tell us?
Matt 16:2He replied, “When evening comes, you say, ‘It will be fair weather, for the sky is red,’ 3and in the morning, ‘Today it will be stormy, for the sky is red and overcast.’ You know how to interpret the appearance of the sky, but you cannot interpret the signs of the times.a 4A wicked and adulterous generation looks for a sign, but none will be given it except the sign of Jonah.” Jesus then left them and went away.
And yes, our Lord was talking to the religious people when He said this ^^................. Just like today while the priests and pastors of this world are telling people to 'get out and vote' the anti-Christ is going to hit the stage. What a tragedy it will be someday when many of today's Christians vote for the anti-Christ then they have to explain themselves to the Lord later. Do you think "but we didn't know it was the anti-Christ" will suffice as an excuse on that day?
We do not know the day or hour but we do know the signs of the times. The hour is indeed late and we know this because of the Divinely placed sign posts our Lord has given us to judge where we are in history.
The people are right to disapprove of the current crop of liar, thief, murderer politicians and those who would replace them (Trump). What they don't see is that dissatisfaction is part of a great trap laid for this world:
34“Be
careful, or your hearts will be weighed down with carousing,
drunkenness and the anxieties of life, and that day will close on you
suddenly like a trap.
35For it will come on all those who live on the face of the whole earth.
36Be
always on the watch, and pray that you may be able to escape all that
is about to happen, and that you may be able to stand before the Son of
Man.”
But what about you? Were you destined for this trap? Not if you do what you were told to do:
36Be always on the watch, and pray that you may be able to escape all that is about to happen, and that you may be able to stand before the Son of Man.”
We were told to be always on the watch and pray for escape. And yes, praying for escape is 'escapist.' Before Christians start leveling names and accusations at us for doing exactly precisely what we were told to do by Almighty God (pray for escape) they better check themselves. Noah and Lot both escaped the great destruction of their days and we were promised the exact same kind of escape:
2 Peter 2:4For if God spared not the angels that sinned, but cast them down to hell, and delivered them into chains of darkness, to be reserved unto judgment;
5And spared not the old world, but saved Noah the eighth person, a preacher of righteousness, bringing in the flood upon the world of the ungodly;
6And turning the cities of Sodom and Gomorrha into ashes condemned them with an overthrow, making them an ensample unto those that after should live ungodly;
The Godly will Be Delivered
7And delivered just Lot, vexed with the filthy conversation of the wicked:
8(For that righteous man dwelling among them, in seeing and hearing, vexed his righteous soul from day to day with their unlawful deeds;)
9The Lord knoweth how to deliver the godly out of peirasmou, and to reserve the unjust unto the day of judgment to be punished:
What does peirasmou mean? An experiment, a trial, temptation. Hey, what's that word for peirasmou? Temptation? Yep thats one of them. Boy that sounds familiar where have I heard that before? Oh yea:
Luke 11:1One
day Jesus was praying in a certain place. When he finished, one of his
disciples said to him, “Lord, teach us to pray, just as John taught his
disciples.”
2He said to them, “When you pray, say:
“ ‘Father,a
hallowed be your name,
your kingdom come.b
3Give us each day our daily bread.
4Forgive us our sins,
for we also forgive everyone who sins against us.c
And lead us not into temptation.d
’ ”
Gee, we've been "praying for escape" since we were 4 years old! So I guess those people who agonize and are so sorely vexed by our Lord's own promises of escape have a problem with the Lord's prayer as well? Which human invented the promise of escape in the Lord's prayer in the 1800's? Oh yea, they didn't.....The Lord put it in there 2000 years ago as one of His many promises to us who believe.
Time is indeed short. Sure, we've been saying that for generations but which generation has seen the world stage set the way we see it today?
