Almost there guys, we are close to completing phase 1-praying into the election.
This morning the Spirit of the Lord impressed upon this servant the fact that this election and all the uproar surrounding it is one tiny chapter in the epic book that is being written about our family. The family is the Father, the Son, the Holy Spirit and all of us. What is being written is a love story, a family story, an eternal story. We need to step back and see this as He sees it, a small chapter in an eternal book.
All things serve the Lord our God.
Ps 119:91
Your laws endure to this day, for all things serve you.
We get to ask for things in prayer-the "what." The Lord retains the "how" and the "when" parts of the equation. Part of the "how" we are to move forward into phase 2 which starts in 4 days is we are united in prayer, thought, intention with 1: each other and 2. with Him. That horizontal alignment with each other is the horizontal beam of the cross, the vertical alignment with Him forms the vertical part. There is power in alignment as our Lord teaches us here:
Matt 18
19“Again, truly I tell you that if two of you on earth agree about anything they ask for, it will be done for them by my Father in heaven. 20For where two or three gather in my name, there am I with them.”
Ecc 4:12
Though one may be overpowered, two can defend themselves. A cord of three strands is not quickly broken.
A cord of three strands: you, me, the Lord God Almighty-all in agreement.
Now, back to the familiar theme of pressing upward into the highest, best version of ourselves. Each one of us must pray for, believe for and receive as many of the spiritual gifts as possible:
1 Cor 14:1
Follow the way of love and eagerly desire gifts of the Spirit, especially prophecy.
Why are you to especially want and need the gift of prophecy? So you can encourage me, and every other brother and sister in the Body. We are to support each other just as the Lord supports us.
Eph 6:18
And pray in the Spirit on all occasions with all kinds of prayers and requests. With this in mind, be alert and always keep on praying for all the Lord’s people.
We need to lift each other up ^^^ and support each other in every way possible. This is part of that horizontal and vertical alignment. This mutual support that we provide each other is part of the ongoing eternal family story that is being written day by day. Each one of us has to play our part. Each one of us needs to bring our "A game" to this party for the sake of those around us and because its our job...
As we go into the days, weeks and months ahead the Lord God would remind us the book that is being written is a love story <3. Its a story about faithfulness, promise, hope, and deliverance. The battles that lie ahead all serve a greater purpose that is much larger than the election or any of the temporal stuff we see around us in the here and now.
So keep your eyes on Christ. Encourage yourself in the Word and in His presence and power. Pray and receive all the spiritual gifts-especially prophesy. You never know when the Word you get from the Lord God is going to be just the thing someone needs at the exact moment they need it. Rise up into the highest, best version of yourself today and every day going forward. We must never ever go back to the recent past of apathy and complacency that suppressed the Church and ended up causing all of humanity to suffer under the current tyranny and oppression. Its time to rise up into the high calling:
