James 4:7 Be subject therefore unto God; but resist the devil, and he will flee from you.
Resist the devil the bible says, and what will happen? The devil WILL FLEE from you. Looking that up in the Greek we see it this way as well: resist the devil and he will flee away, seek safety by flight, to be saved by flight, to escape safely out of danger. The promise to us is that when the devil attacks us, and we resist him, then somehow, someway, our God turns the tables on the devil and the devil actually has to flee for his own safety....impressive stuff. Another way of saying it, it appears that our God pays the devil back for every attack on us. The moral of the story is, submit to Jesus, resist the devil, it's a win/win proposition. I think if we could see into the spirit world we'd be amazed at how much the Lord does for us day in and day out. Time is short, repent, cling to the Creator with all your strength. Grace and Peace~d
