Sound Decision Making

The Lord shared something this morning that is critically important for all of us.  It has to do with time on our knees, prayer and decision making.  We all know generally pray=good, don't pray=bad.  But why?  This writer cannot be dogmatic about this but here is the current understanding of how it works.  We are divided up into body/spirit/soul.  When we pray and worship alone with the Lord our spirit communes with His Spirit.  During that spirit to Spirit communion time our spirit has the opportunity to see and hear things (as if we were standing in the throne room) because we are in the presence of all knowing, all seeing, all powerful God Almighty.  This is critically important and we will get back to it in a minute.

Now, that said ^^ the spirit to Spirit communication (seeing/hearing) and the information gathered there does not travel on a hotline straight into our brain (unfortunately) so this is what we end up with:

1 Cor 13:12 For now we see in a mirror dimly, but then face to face. Now I know in part; then I shall know fully, even as I have been fully known.

Before you say "yea brother, been there done that so what?"  Here is the point (critical), what we come away with are "impressions."  That's what your nobody brother D calls them.  Why they are so important is they stick inside our consciousness (dimly) and are called forward as needed to assist  our conscious hearing and seeing decision making process.

So, for example the Lord has had this servant learning how to trade financial markets.  This servant has been asking for help and guidance because trading successfully is not easy.  There was no point during day to day/night to night prayer when this servant got to his feet and said "aha!  The Lord  showed me something new just now"  Not in my conscious mind.  However later hearing other's sharing their thoughts on the markets and just going through the day seeing and hearing what was going on this servants spirit acted as a witness to the active mind of generally what the direction forward should be.

In a world that is full of figurative land mines, any of which could cause us serious damage-we must have had our daily intelligence brief from the Spirit of the Lord so we can make good decisions after we get up off our knees.  We have access to all knowing, all powerful Almighty God who does speak to us in many different ways:

Hebrews 1:1In the past God spoke to our ancestors through the prophets at many times and in various ways, 2but in these last days he has spoken to us by his Son, whom he appointed heir of all things, and through whom also he made the universe.

The Lord called us soldiers.  He told us this life is a fight:

2 Tim 2:3 Join with me in suffering, like a good soldier of Christ Jesus.

1 Tim 1:18 This charge I entrust to you, Timothy, my child, in accordance with the prophecies previously made about you, that by them you may wage the good warfare,

John 16:33 I have said these things to you, that in me you may have peace. In the world you will have tribulation. But take heart; I have overcome the world.”

If you don't want to step on the "landmines" of life you need to see and hear what the Spirit of the Lord will show your spirit during your time alone with Him.  If you want to be successful in whatever you are doing you can greatly enhance your chances by having all knowing, all powerful Spirit of the Lord as your coach.

Sorry for the long winded somewhat chaotic thinking here, this brother just wanted to get the general idea posted so you can benefit from something so critical.  Sometimes the Lord does not tell us why, sometimes He does.  In this case He has explained why prayer=good, no prayer=bad.  Our spirit is going to see and hear things in the presence of the Lord that would not be seen or heard anywhere else.

This servant hopes some of this^^ helps you as much as it helped me.  Glory to God.
