Approximately two years ago around news years eve, just before "they" unleashed covid on us, the Lord told this servant that it is time to develop our gifts/talents/abilities. The message was the same last year and of late, guess what the Lord has been impressing on this nobody? Develop/use the talents we have been given. There is a war going on around us, it is good vs. evil. The enemy is hard at work but so is the Lord our God. If you do not like the direction this world is headed, good, neither do I. Want to do something about it? Put your talents to work.
But what do our talents have to do with the current state of war? We were put here in this season for a reason. Each one of us has certain gifts and abilities that were purposed before the war began to be used right now-in this present darkness.
Romans 6
6We have different gifts, according to the grace given to each of us. If your gift is prophesying, then prophesy in accordance with your a faith; 7if it is serving, then serve; if it is teaching, then teach; 8if it is to encourage, then give encouragement; if it is giving, then give generously; if it is to lead, b do it diligently; if it is to show mercy, do it cheerfully.
Love in Action
9Love must be sincere. Hate what is evil; cling to what is good. 10Be devoted to one another in love. Honor one another above yourselves. 11Never be lacking in zeal, but keep your spiritual fervor, serving the Lord. 12Be joyful in hope, patient in affliction, faithful in prayer. 13Share with the Lord’s people who are in need. Practice hospitality.
You may have a hard time understanding what giving generously or encouraging or practicing hospitality has to do with this war but the example given to me to understand this is the rifleman sitting in a dirt ditch with his rifle during a war, cold, hungry, aches, pains etc. The soldier sits there in his dirt ditch with no idea whatsoever what the general's plan is back behind the front lines. To the general, each one of the soldiers sitting in a ditch is important to the accomplishment of the overall plan.
We are the soldiers sitting in the ditch now in time of war. This covid operation is the enemy attempt to kill and enslave us all. It is important for us to understand that our General has a plan, and each one of us is an important part of it. We do not fight however like the world fights. Our "soldiering" has everything to do with our faith, patience, obedience as a foundation and layered on top of that the individual gifts and abilities we were given to serve His Kingdom.
It is time to get to work. This servant has work to do which is why the Lord has been prodding multiple times over this past week and it wasnt until today that the light bulb went on to understand the unusual events He used to get this servants attention. When the light bulb went on today this post wrote itself in your nobody brother's mind. So, it has been posted and this servant has work to do developing at least one of the gifts that needs work in order to be used effectively. You may or may not need work to have your gift/talent fit for purpose, if you do-get to work.
In case you havent noticed the enemy has been pushing hard of late to implement his agenda. Unfortunately for him, in this chess game checkmate is already in sight. The enemy knows this which is why we see the panicked activity. Thus, the Lord has also stepped up the pace of operations which is the reason for this post. Fast, pray, seek the Lord's face, use your talents, develop your talents. War is never pretty, it is harsh and full of pain and suffering. The good news is, we know who wins this war :-)
