Matt 24-25 have been the overriding theme of what the Spirit of the Lord has impressed upon this servant since the time of the scamdemic. Of interest today, and for our edification we take note of this:
Matt 25
1“At that time the kingdom of heaven will be like ten virgins who took their lamps and went out to meet the bridegroom. 2Five of them were foolish and five were wise. 3The foolish ones took their lamps but did not take any oil with them. 4The wise ones, however, took oil in jars along with their lamps. 5The bridegroom was a long time in coming, and they all became drowsy and fell asleep.
6“At midnight the cry rang out: ‘Here’s the bridegroom! Come out to meet him!’
7“Then all the virgins woke up and trimmed their lamps. 8The foolish ones said to the wise, ‘Give us some of your oil; our lamps are going out.’
9“ ‘No,’ they replied, ‘there may not be enough for both us and you. Instead, go to those who sell oil and buy some for yourselves.’
10“But while they were on their way to buy the oil, the bridegroom arrived. The virgins who were ready went in with him to the wedding banquet. And the door was shut.
11“Later the others also came. ‘Lord, Lord,’ they said, ‘open the door for us!’
12“But he replied, ‘Truly I tell you, I don’t know you.’
13“Therefore keep watch, because you do not know the day or the hour.
The Lord has impressed upon this servant to ask, request, pray to be refilled daily with the Spirit, to have this lamp refilled with oil daily. This impression has been in place for some time before the current rapture watch season began. The Lord does things knowing the future in the present. We may not know, but He knows.
We do not know if the Lord will show up this season or not, but we do know we were told to watch. We also know with the current rate of change, unless the Lord slams on the brakes this world is headed for the time of Jacob's trouble very soon. That in turn means the Church is operating on borrowed time in this world. This year is loaded with reasons to be watching for the Lord's return. Regardless of how many reasons we have, some just cant be bothered. This may be the year their bluff gets called and there will be weeping and gnashing of teeth. We have no desire to be in that crowd. So, we practice and preach the Word in season, to be watching and ready for the unexpected return of our King.
This may be the year He comes back. We dont have long to wait to find out!
