Matt 7:21
“Not everyone who says to me, ‘Lord, Lord,’ will enter the kingdom of heaven, but only the one who does the will of my Father who is in heaven.
In case we were wondering the Lord specifically calls out those who call themselves Christians today with this "Lord Lord" reference ^^^. If that wasnt enough He hammers it home here:
Many will say to me on that day, ‘Lord, Lord, did we not prophesy in your name and in your name drive out demons and in your name perform many miracles?’ 23Then I will tell them plainly, ‘I never knew you. Away from me, you evildoers!’
That ^^^ is the wake up call of the ages. It shocks and dismays this servant that this scripture is not preached way more often in the pulpits, but knowing how churchianity works explains why. Why are we reading this today? Because the Lord could be coming back soon, in fact He is, we just dont know exactly when. And....many are unprepared. Many are not watching, or ready. And worst of all, many cannot be bothered:
Matt 24
36“But about that day or hour no one knows, not even the angels in heaven, nor the Son, f but only the Father. 37As it was in the days of Noah, so it will be at the coming of the Son of Man. 38For in the days before the flood, people were eating and drinking, marrying and giving in marriage, up to the day Noah entered the ark; 39and they knew nothing about what would happen until the flood came and took them all away. That is how it will be at the coming of the Son of Man. 40Two men will be in the field; one will be taken and the other left. 41Two women will be grinding with a hand mill; one will be taken and the other left.
42“Therefore keep watch, because you do not know on what day your Lord will come. 43But understand this: If the owner of the house had known at what time of night the thief was coming, he would have kept watch and would not have let his house be broken into. 44So you also must be ready, because the Son of Man will come at an hour when you do not expect him.
45“Who then is the faithful and wise servant, whom the master has put in charge of the servants in his household to give them their food at the proper time? 46It will be good for that servant whose master finds him doing so when he returns. 47Truly I tell you, he will put him in charge of all his possessions. 48But suppose that servant is wicked and says to himself, ‘My master is staying away a long time,’ 49and he then begins to beat his fellow servants and to eat and drink with drunkards. 50The master of that servant will come on a day when he does not expect him and at an hour he is not aware of. 51He will cut him to pieces and assign him a place with the hypocrites, where there will be weeping and gnashing of teeth.
It is interesting to this servant that the bulk of the Holy Spirit messaging has revolved around Matt 24-25 (2024-2025). This idea of "talents" or using our abilities for the Kingdom is Matt 25. The wise/unwise virgins is Matt 25. Years worth of messaging fits nice and neat right in the Matt 24-25 box. Does that mean the Lord comes back this year? We are all going to find out together. If He doesn't we continue doing our job. If He does, many will be found wanting. This servant does not enjoy writing that, this servant is praying with you that we all will be found watching and ready.
This year has been special during this rapture watch season for a variety of reasons. The enemy attacks ramped up over the past weeks is a first (in this season). Now is not the time to be focused on everything else but the arrival of the Master. If He comes back over the next month or so nothing else you are doing is going to matter...
We were told to be watching and ready. This servant is reminding you while reminding himself, we must be watching and ready when our Master returns.
