This fall of 2025 we continue to watch and wait for the Lord's decision-whether He is going to return this year for His Church. It is the fall feasts that have yet to be fulfilled. Fall time is harvest time, a perfect season for the Lord to return-whenever He decides to do that. This servant has sensed the Lord's guidance to shift from a predictive language set to preparatory. In other words, He wants us prepared and preparing not sitting around predicting days and hours which He already told us we will not know.
We prepare for the return of the Lord through our ongoing work. We are to level up into the highest/best versions of ourselves, centered in His Will. We are to put to work all of the talents, skills, abilities given to us in service to the Kingdom. We are to ask ourselves every day: "how can I get 1% better today?" We get 1% better every day and we stack our victories. Again, why? Not for ourselves but for the Kingdom and our King. This is what we were put here to do. We are not here for ourselves. We are here to serve Him which by extension means serving those around us.
The Lord God's gift to the world was His only Son, our Lord Jesus Christ. Which means we are a part of that gift as we are by definition the Body of Christ. We are to walk as He did in this world. In this season the Lord God has impressed strongly the need to finish this story as it began: in love. 1 Cor 13 and 1 John 4 stand out. Love is the beginning of our story and the never ending end to it. It is love that separates us from this world. It is love that separates us from the left. They operate in an ideology of hate, we operate in one of love. It really is that simple.
So, as we continue to level up in our talents, skills and abilities, in His service, centered in His Will, we wrap it all up and keep it together with a gift wrap of love. We love now because first He loved us.
1 John 3
16This is how we know what love is: Jesus Christ laid down his life for us. And we ought to lay down our lives for our brothers and sisters.
We have been leveling up for some time now and it is this servants understanding that we are to do so until the Lord comes back or we "graduate" off this earth to heaven. The idea of leveling up is perfecting things and the Lord tell us that love brings us into this perfection (or completion):
1 Cor 13
8Love never fails. But where there are prophecies, they will cease; where there are tongues, they will be stilled; where there is knowledge, it will pass away. 9For we know in part and we prophesy in part, 10but when completeness comes, what is in part disappears. 11When I was a child, I talked like a child, I thought like a child, I reasoned like a child. When I became a man, I put the ways of childhood behind me. 12For now we see only a reflection as in a mirror; then we shall see face to face. Now I know in part; then I shall know fully, even as I am fully known.
To be clear, the Lord does not have to return unexpected during the fall but it seems reasonable to this servant that He would chose this season. We will continue to watch and pray always as we were instructed to however since we are in the fall season, and there may be an increased chance during this season the Lord shows up for us, let us up our watching and readiness game in preparation of the return of our King. If He shows up this fall-great, we are watching and we pray we will be ready. If He delays-not as great-but we continue to do our job, working to spread the faith, hope and love of the Lord our God to this lost and dying world.
