Yom Kippur 2008

Yom Kippur, which in 2008 begins at sundown Oct. 8, and lasts until sundown Oct. 9, is one of the most serious Jewish holidays. Jews who do not regularly observe other holidays often make an exception for Yom Kippur, which occurs on the tenth day of the Hebrew month of Tishri. Yom Kippur observances can vary. Some non-Orthodox Jews might not follow the following outline exactly.
This is judgment day. Many Jews practice repentance, say prayers, and give charity to obtain God's forgiveness for any sins made in the past year. Yom Kippur is the culmination of a process that began a month earlier, during the Hebrew month of Elal. It follows Rosh Hashanah and the New Year's activities.
Days of Awe

The Days of Awe, or Ten Days of Repentance, are the ten days between Rosh Hashanah and Yom Kippur. It offers a chance for spiritual renewal and repentance before Yom Kippur, which is to atone for sins between man and God.

Some Orthodox Jews hold a live fowl over their heads as atonement for sin. The fowl is killed and given to the poor. Instead of an actual bird, some Jews use a bag of money symbolizing the price of the bird. This is the ancient custom of kapparot, or atonements, and is practiced during the afternoon before Yom Kippur begins.

Eating, and Drinking, Marrying, and Giving in Marriage

Matt 24: 37 and as the days of Noah -- so shall be also the presence of the Son of Man; 38 for as they were, in the days before the flood, eating, and drinking, marrying, and giving in marriage, till the day Noah entered into the ark, 39 and they did not know till the flood came and took all away; so shall be also the presence of the Son of Man. 40 Then two men shall be in the field, the one is received, and the one is left; 41 two women shall be grinding in the mill, one is received, and one is left.

Normal days are coming to a close, the days we see ahead of us are not characterized by "eating, and drinking, marrying, and giving in marriage" they are characterized by this:

Rev 6:1 And I saw when the Lamb opened one of the seals, and I heard one of the four living creatures saying, as it were a voice of thunder, 'Come and behold!' 2 and I saw, and lo, a white horse, and he who is sitting upon it is having a bow, and there was given to him a crown, and he went forth overcoming, and that he may overcome.
3 And when he opened the second seal, I heard the second living creature saying, 'Come and behold!' 4 and there went forth another horse -- red, and to him who is sitting upon it, there was given to him to take the peace from the land, and that one another they may slay, and there was given to him a great sword.

The anti-christ, war, death and disasters of every kind. Time is short. There are so many HUGE warning signs around us today. All the pieces that need to be in place for the tribulation to start are there. That means the rapture is very close. Soon, very soon the world will be talking about "the dissapearance." The closer we get, the more my heart breaks for those who still don't know the real Jesus. They know "of Him" but they don't know Him. The Lord is coming back for a spotless bride. I don't know a day or hour, but I know it's close. What does close mean? I don't know..how about not far away? It's enough to know that. The prophets of the past were sent to warn Israel of what was coming. The Lord in his mercy always gives a chance to repent. Many times he gives LOTS of time to repent, usually after repeated warnings. The earth is absolutely AWASH in warning signs today, giving people a chance to repent. The warnings and chance to repent won't go on forever, time is almost up. What more can be said? Not much, pray, remain "in Christ", be obedient, be faithful. These are worthwhile and profitable things. Love, grace and peace to all the brothers and sisters

He Comes Quickly

Revelation 3 :10 Because you have kept my word in quiet strength, I will keep you from the hour of testing which is coming on all the world, to put to the test those who are on earth. 11 I come quickly: keep that which you have, so that no one may take your crown.

Days have a way of blurring together, but remember the times in which you live: THE END OF THE AGE. One of these days is going to be far from normal. It will be normal day, normal day, normal day, normal day, BANG ...rapture,tribulation..just like that. We've had plenty of warning that its coming. Look around, right now the entire world is one big WARNING sign that something BAD is about to happen. A satanic kingdom running things out in the open, also known as the "new world order" is what's up next, who wants to stick around for that? For those of us who are "in Christ" we will do whatever our Lord wants us to do. Read, Rev 2-3 for ideas on what He does and does not want us to do. Time is short, Jesus can and will show up shortly, time is short, the signs are all around us, so......WAKE UP. Keep the faith, be obedient. Grace and peace

To Him Who is Overcoming

Over and over again, in Revelation 2-3 where the Holy Spirit is speaking to the churches, He says "To him who is overcoming ." You'll see this wording in any literal translation of the bible. What does that statement mean? Does it mean that if you were an overcomer last week you get a reward? Does it mean that if you were an overcomer last month you get a reward? Does it mean that if you were an overcomer last year you get a reward? No, "is overcoming" means at the time the Master shows up to hold you accountable. When will that be? I don't know, for some it might be tonight on the way home, it might mean at the time of the rapture, or at the second coming for some people. Bottom line is this, thinking someone was "saved" because they knelt at an alter at sometime in the past means ZERO, ZILCH, NOTHING. What does mean something is being found "overcoming" at the time the master shows up. The Lord gives many examples to drive this point home, consider this:

Matt 24:42 'Watch ye therefore, because ye have not known in what hour your Lord doth come; 43 and this know, that if the master of the house had known in what watch the thief doth come, he had watched, and not suffered his house to be broken through; 44 because of this also ye, become ye ready, because in what hour ye do not think, the Son of Man doth come.
45 'Who, then, is the servant, faithful and wise, whom his lord did set over his household, to give them the nourishment in season? 46 Happy that servant, whom his lord, having come, shall find doing so; 47 verily I say to you, that over all his substance he will set him

What happened here^^^^^ When the Lord showed up unexpectedly, the servant was doing what he was supposed to be doing. What happens to the servant who "made a decision for Jesus" 5 years ago, but on the day the Lord shows up, is caught not doing what pleases the Lord?

'And, if that evil servant may say in his heart, My Lord doth delay to come, 49 and may begin to beat the fellow-servants, and to eat and to drink with the drunken, 50 the lord of that servant will arrive in a day when he doth not expect, and in an hour of which he doth not know, 51 and will cut him off, and his portion with the hypocrites will appoint; there shall be the weeping and the gnashing of the teeth.

Well, does'nt look like things go very well, first, Jesus calls them an EVIL SERVANT, next that servant is "cut off" and their portion then belongs with those who are weeping and gnashing teeth. I don't know about you, but I want NO PART in that, do you? Faithfulness pays. Have you screwed something up today, yesterday, last week? Been struggling to get right with Jesus? Right now is the time to ask forgiveness and recommit to Him. The bible clearly says He is willing to forgive you as many times as it takes to turn you around, HOWEVER, that's not a license to sin. If your heart does not truly repent and grieve over your sin, the Lord does'nt honor your request for forgiveness. He knows if you are playing games or you are serious. If He comes back tonight will you be ready? It could happen. Let's commit 100% of the energy we have left, our whole heart and our whole mind to crossing the finishing line STRONG. Close your eyes and imagine for a moment, standing in heaven before the Lord, with an assembly of angels around you so numerous you can't count them, and the Lord says to you 'WELL DONE GOOD AND FAITHFUL SERVANT" Can anything on this earth compare with how you'll feel in that moment? Whatever the cost, whatever the price, we have to strive for this goal with everything we have, TIME IS SHORT. Grace and peace

Time is Short

I am impressed this morning by the shortness of time. I have posted before on what the Lord has done with me personally. I have been put "on notice" now for about a year, by the lord. It's tough to describe what this means aside from the fact that I know, deep down aside, with absolute certainty, that the rapture will occur any day now, along with the revelation of anti-christ, and the "day of the Lord." I don't know a day of an hour, but I know that I've been put on notice. I'm 38 years old now and never before in my christian life have I ever had this kind of "being put on notice" kind of intuitive knowing that there's no time left. Like I said, it's been like a year now, and every day the "knowing" is more confirmed. I write to you brothers and sisters today to share with you some recent things I see as a watchman on the wall.

The world economy is in BIG trouble. The trouble is so big in fact that it's irreversible. We are on a collision course with some very big events. Namely, the anti-christ and his satanic earthly kingdom, aka the "new world order." Look around, people are going under left and right, no jobs, no house, no food, what's next?

The bible says the wicked won't see the day of the Lord coming. Why is that? For one, they are spiritually blind. Also, the way things are coming on the world, it's like watching a train wreck in slow motion. People see the wreck coming, but since it's happening in slow motion they feel like they'll have plenty of time to move out of the way. There's no one major event out there that screams at them "DANGER, RUN FOR COVER" so they carry on as they always have. It's like the story of the frog sitting in a pot of water where the heat is gradually turned up, by the time the water reaches boiling, the frog wants out but it's unable to get out.

The world is today like an audience sitting in a large theater. They are sitting in their seats, watching the stage being set. One tribulation event after the other is being rolled out onto the stage in full view of the audience, they see it happening and yet they do nothing, as though they are in some kind of trance. Does the show really have to start before people will believe that the stage pieces will come to life and play their parts?

The world as we knew it before Sept 11, 2001 is gone, FOREVER. This world is being transformed, right now, today into a satanic playground, where the anti-christ and his minions will setup their satanic kingdom and show mankind how "wonderful" it can be. The stage is almost completely set, the Lord has informed me (with an intuitive "knowing") that it's about to start. I've known this for about a year. The Lord is long suffering, He does'nt want anyone to be lost. His servants are warning anyone who will listen that time has run out. We are now looking at hours and days, maybe months before time is up. The rapture is going to occur in the twinkling of an eye, either men are ready or they are not. The time to get right with Jesus is TODAY, the time to perfect holiness is TODAY, the time to get rid of whatever hinders your walk with the Creator is TODAY. I don't know the day or hour, but good Lord, I have something inside of me that's burning a little hotter every day, telling me to tell you that THERE'S NO TIME LEFT TO MESS AROUND. Please, get right with the Creator and his Son Jesus Christ today, I'm begging you. Grace and Peace.
