Encouraging Words for Tough Times

Psalm 34 >>Young's Literal Translation

1 I do bless Jehovah at all times, Continually His praise is in my mouth.
2 In Jehovah doth my soul boast herself, Hear do the humble and rejoice.
3 Ascribe ye greatness to Jehovah with me, And we exalt His name together.
4 I sought Jehovah, and He answered me, And from all my fears did deliver me.
5 They looked expectingly unto Him, And they became bright, And their faces are not ashamed.
6 This poor one called, and Jehovah heard, And from all his distresses saved him.
7 A messenger of Jehovah is encamping, Round about those who fear Him, And He armeth them. 8 Taste ye and see that Jehovah is good, O the happiness of the man who trusteth in Him.
9 Fear Jehovah, ye His holy ones, For there is no lack to those fearing Him.
10 Young lions have lacked and been hungry, And those seeking Jehovah lack not any good,
11 Come ye, children, hearken to me, The fear of Jehovah I do teach you.
12 Who is the man that is desiring life? Loving days to see good?
13 Keep thy tongue from evil, And thy lips from speaking deceit.
14 Turn aside from evil and do good, Seek peace and pursue it.
15 The eyes of Jehovah are unto the righteous, And His ears unto their cry.
16 (The face of Jehovah is on doers of evil, To cut off from earth their memorial.)
17 They cried, and Jehovah heard, And from all their distresses delivered them.
18 Near is Jehovah to the broken of heart, And the bruised of spirit He saveth.
19 Many are the evils of the righteous, Out of them all doth Jehovah deliver him.
20 He is keeping all his bones, One of them hath not been broken.
21 Evil doth put to death the wicked, And those hating the righteous are desolate.
22 Jehovah redeemeth the soul of His servants, And none trusting in Him are desolate!

Some impressive stuff there, He delivers you from ALL your fears. People tend to gloss over words, but the Holy Spirit put them in there for a reason, HE MEANT WHAT HE SAID. All means all right? Yep He saves you from ALL of your distresses. He did'nt say it would be done exactly when you wanted it, but he said he would save you from them...patience. And last but not least: A messenger of Jehovah is encamping, Round about those who fear Him, And He armeth them. That says there's at least one ARMED ANGEL encamped around you, kind of a 'protective detail' in secret service terms. You literally walk around with an angelic armed guard everywhere you go when you belong to the Creator. If something happens to you, the angel most likely has to answer to your Father in heaven for it, so do you think those angels are attentive to your well being? I would imagine so. We serve a magnificent and loving Father. Take time today to love on Him, He really does deserve it. Grace and peace

Our Loving Father

I wanted to share with you what a loving Father we have. During the worst housing market in a generation, in one of the markets listed among the top 10 worst (Phoenix, AZ) in a tanking economy, with joblessness and foreclosures rampant everywhere, we just sold our house. Or maybe I should say, the Lord sold it. Our Father gave me a couple things to think about while it was on the market: 1. His faithfulness and love for us in this matter started in 2003 when we bought the house, not just in 2008 when we we're selling it. 2. He would send a buyer, sent by Him specifically to buy our house. His Word sustained us throughout, things like "if you do not stand on your faith you will not stand at all," "believe that you have received what you ask for in prayer," Psalms 1,34,37 and many other places in the Word. There is no question that His Word is as active, living, and powerful today as it ever was. We serve a mighty God, but he is also a loving father. He delights in the well being of his servants. I will be 39 this month and not once, EVER has he ever failed me or my family. He has come through for us over and over and over again. What else in my life has that kind of track record? Nothing. People want to know why I believe in my God, our God? I don't know where to start, the peace within me, a 100% record of loving faithfullness to me and my family, favor in the eyes of others, love, peace in the midst of a hellish and turbulent generation, the list goes on. Yea, I'm convinced I'm onto something real here. People can be argued into and out of positions, but once someone has been experienced into something, good luck trying to argue them out of their experience. Thank you thank you thank you Lord Jesus and our loving Father for your answer to yet another prayer. Thank you also to those who supported us in prayer. May you be encouraged today, time is short, VERY short, pray for all those in Christ, grace and peace.
