Christians and the War on Terror

I am quite perplexed at the cry for blood that has been expressed by many many self proclaimed christians these days. These people support a supposed christian president aka george dubbya whose idea of righteousness is to wipe out whole countries in the name of a christian crusade not unlike the crusades initiated by the catholics from 1095 to 1270 AD. What ever happened to:

2 Corinthians 10
3For though we live in the world, we do not wage war as the world does. 4The weapons we fight with are not the weapons of the world. On the contrary, they have divine power to demolish strongholds. 5We demolish arguments and every pretension that sets itself up against the knowledge of God, and we take captive every thought to make it obedient to Christ.

The weapons we fight with are not the weapons of the world.
