Tomorrow is ascension day. For those of us looking for our Lord's return day in and day out, tomorrow is another one of those great days to be looking up. Ascension is a word closely associated with being caught up in the air to be with Jesus forever. Its a word that points our attention toward the heavens where the open door will be located (rev 4:1).

Tomorrow would be a great day for the Lord to quietly slip down from the highest heavens into the atmosphere of our Earth and say "come up hither." People are running to and fro concerned with this and that, filled with the anxieties of life, buying and selling, planting and building, marrying and giving in marriage. Its on a day like today or tomorrow that the Lord will come back. Those ready and watching will hear something like what the wise virgins heard "the bridegroom cometh!"

The Lord has made it clear to me over the past months that watching what satan is doing is meaningless. Satan wants at this earth and its people, thats a "no brainer." He's sending out signals left and right that he wants to get down to business with this earth, but his desire and our Lord's timing are two entirely different things. The restrainer being removed has nothing to do with what Satan wants or signal or intends etc. We are told to keep our eyes on our Lord because its what he is doing that matters, everything else is meaningless drivel.

The Lord gave us signs to look for to know when the time of the end would be near. We see them all around us so many of us agree, the time draws close. The Lord has had "time is short" on my heart for YEARS now. This calls for patient endurance. What happens when people get all jacked up about the Lord showing up today or tomorrow that when he waits, they give up in frustration? They are in trouble is what happens. This is a marathon not a sprint.

Its for this reason I believe the Lord has had it on my heart to remind people of all the warnings. He has laid it on my heart to call anyone who will listen back to the fundamentals of the faith. Prayer, faith, belief, staying in the Word, warning, encouraging, these are fundamentals. All those fundamentals can be further boiled down to an even simpler statement: maintain your "first love (rev 2)" Maintaining our first love means keeping the Son of God front and center in our minds, hearts and spirits at all times, above all else. If you put first things first, everything else will take care of itself. With the Lord of creation centered in your heart and mind how can you not pray? How can you ignore his word? How can you not warn and encourage? He is the key. The knowledge of the Holy One IS THE KEY to wisdom and knowledge of the Word of God, because he is the word of God.

Proverbs 9:10
... The fear of the LORD is the beginning of wisdom, And the knowledge of the Holy One is understanding.

These so called christians running around telling everyone "I'm not into fear man, we have'nt been given a spirit of fear so if I hear or see or think of the word fear I just turn off to it!" Those people are fools. The FEAR of the Lord is the beginning of wisdom, so if you want to remain a fool for life then "turn off" everything that has to do with "fear."

Our God is a multi-dimensional (in many ways) God. He is not the cotton candied sugar daddy in the sky that todays babylonian priests and teachers portray him to be. People need a wake up call desperately and unfortunately we know from Matt 7:21 that many will find out too late that their love of lies has cost them dearly. Our God is loving and tenderhearted and merciful but he will also cut you off from the vine, throw you out to be burned (John 15). Fear him who is able to destroy the body AND cast the soul into hell. If you do not fear him, then you will NEVER have any wisdom that is real wisdom. The fear of the Lord is where is starts.

This world needs a military boot in the rear end, ice cold water on the face, slaps across the head, electro shock or whatever else it might take to wake them up before its too late. We know from the book of revelation that even with all the seals, trumpets, vials etc that the Lord pours out many will still not repent.

Take a moment now before ascension day to ask yourself if you would be ready to meet the Lord tomorrow. What if he does show up? These are the days of Noah and Lot. These are the days before the 7 years of JACOB'S trouble. These are days to get our act together and keep it together. The fact that you are reading this right now means that you have been warned. The Lord hasn't shown up quite yet so do what you can do today to be a wise virgin/wise servant who put his talents (faith) to work in the Lord's service. Pray, maintain your first love first, believe. Your prayers in faith have real impact and the people around you today may have their eternal destiny decided by what you do or do not believe. The stakes are monumental. You are salt and light in a world fading to black. Act like salt, act like light BELIEVE.

Be patient but also be ready for the Lord to show up any second now. We are dearly loved. grace and peace
