What does the Lord say about Babylon and her fate?
Isaiah 13
17See, I will stir up against them the Medes,
who do not care for silver
and have no delight in gold.
18Their bows will strike down the young men;
they will have no mercy on infants
nor will they look with compassion on children.
19Babylon, the jewel of kingdoms,
the glory of the Babylonians’b pride,
will be overthrown by God
like Sodom and Gomorrah.
20She will never be inhabited
or lived in through all generations;
no Arab will pitch his tent there,
no shepherd will rest his flocks there.
21But desert creatures will lie there,
jackals will fill her houses;
there the owls will dwell,
and there the wild goats will leap about.
22Hyenas will howl in her strongholds,
jackals in her luxurious palaces.
Her time is at hand,
and her days will not be prolonged.
Take a look at current events today. Who is "stirred up" against us today? The Medes? Yes. The Medes are the people of Iran.....The next area highlighted above is the comparison of Babylon to Sodom and Gomorrah. With the most homosexual friendly president ever seen in the white house re-elected does this passage of scripture take on more weight today? I think so. Did you notice the states who voted in or came close to voting in gay marriage on (s)election day? Now do we understand how Babylon and her end will be like Sodom and Gomorrah?
And the clincher for us is putting to bed the argument that the Lord is talking about ancient Babylon here. The evidence that this is current day Babylon is "20She will never be inhabited or lived in through all generations;" Ancient Babylon was in current day Iraq. Do people live in Iraq today? Yes, so that automatically disqualifies ancient Babylon from being the Babylon spoken of in the passage above. We know this because nobody will EVER live there again through all generations once this destruction that is coming falls on her.
There is much to say about this. When we read through Isaiah, Jeremiah and Revelation it is clear that the evidence points to America as end times Babylon. One of the things the Lord says over and over again is about Babylon's pride and her arrogance. Look at America today, she flaunts her sin as if there was nothing wrong with it. People act as if what is socially acceptable is acceptable to the Creator. In fact, they do not care what the Lord thinks, they only care what they think. Will there be a price for this? There most certainly will be. Babylon, America has this coming:
14Like a hunted gazelle,
like sheep without a shepherd,
each will return to his own people,
each will flee to his native land.
15Whoever is captured will be thrust through;
all who are caught will fall by the sword.
16Their infants will be dashed to pieces before their eyes;
their houses will be looted and their wives ravished.
Can any man in America even remotely imagine their children being ripped apart and their wives raped in front of their eyes? Here in America? It is coming.
How about this for disturbing:

2Raise a banner on a bare hilltop,
shout to them;
beckon to them
to enter the gates of the nobles.
3I have commanded my holy ones;
I have summoned my warriors to carry out my wrath—
those who rejoice in my triumph.
4Listen, a noise on the mountains,
like that of a great multitude!
Listen, an uproar among the kingdoms,
like nations massing together!
The Lord Almighty is mustering
an army for war.
5They come from faraway lands,
from the ends of the heavens—
the Lord and the weapons of his wrath—
to destroy the whole country.
Do you know what this is called^^? That is foreign invasion. America, Babylon is busy today upsetting every other nation on earth-most notably Russia and China and all their allies. We ignore national sovereignty whenever we feel like it, perform raids over countries borders and act as if its no big deal as long as we are the ones doing it. And what will the result be? Invasion. The Lord made sure to make this point well:
Jeremiah 51:11“Sharpen the arrows,
take up the shields!
The Lord has stirred up the kings of the Medes,
because his purpose is to destroy Babylon.
The Lord will take vengeance,
vengeance for his temple.
12Lift up a banner against the walls of Babylon!
Reinforce the guard,
station the watchmen,
prepare an ambush!
The Lord will carry out his purpose,
his decree against the people of Babylon.
13You who live by many waters
and are rich in treasures,
your end has come,
the time for you to be cut off.
14The Lord Almighty has sworn by himself:
I will surely fill you with men, as with a swarm of locusts,
and they will shout in triumph over you.
Here it is again, He stirs up the Medes, and in verse 14 we see the invasion. America/Babylon will be filled with foreign armies like a swarm of locusts and they will triumph over her.
The stage is set for this to happen right now. Can any American remotely imagine something like this? America the Babylon will be invaded and she will be defeated. All of her pomp, and pride and arrogance will be brought to the ground.
Babylon will be judged, invaded, raped and pillaged.
Does this writer get any joy from writing this? No, I tremble at the thought. This IS whats coming. The Lord Himself spoke it and He cannot lie. What did He say?
14The Lord Almighty has sworn by himself:
I will surely fill you with men, as with a swarm of locusts,
and they will shout in triumph over you.
He has sworn by Himself that this will surely happen. People have been having dreams and visions of this for years. People can argue over interpretations all day long but why waste our time, what is the evidence?
Is America proud?
Is America arrogant?
Is America complacent?
Is America turning into a homosexual nation?
Do the people of America accept sin as if it were no big deal?
Has America rejected the God of the Bible?
Has America become and anti-Christ nation?
Honestly, what more could America possibly do to anger the Lord? She has done it all.
To think that an all powerful all knowing God will overlook such things forever is the height of foolishness.
Forget the "vote" that was just a show this past week, the people of America get an anti-Christ, homosexual, proud, arrogant man to lead them because that is what the people deserve. And before some say "well I voted for Romney" realize that does not matter one bit. If half the people in America were righteous in the eyes of the Lord would an anti-Christ be given to America to lead her? No. Evidence? Sure:
Genesis 1822The men turned away and went toward Sodom, but Abraham remained standing before the Lord.e 23Then Abraham approached him and said: “Will you sweep away the righteous with the wicked? 24What if there are fifty righteous people in the city? Will you really sweep it away and not sparef the place for the sake of the fifty righteous people in it? 25Far be it from you to do such a thing—to kill the righteous with the wicked, treating the righteous and the wicked alike. Far be it from you! Will not the Judgeg of all the earth do right?”
26The Lord said, “If I find fifty righteous people in the city of Sodom, I will spare the whole place for their sake.”
27Then Abraham spoke up again: “Now that I have been so bold as to speak to the Lord, though I am nothing but dust and ashes, 28what if the number of the righteous is five less than fifty? Will you destroy the whole city because of five people?”
“If I find forty-five there,” he said, “I will not destroy it.”
29Once again he spoke to him, “What if only forty are found there?”
He said, “For the sake of forty, I will not do it.”
30Then he said, “May the Lord not be angry, but let me speak. What if only thirty can be found there?”
He answered, “I will not do it if I find thirty there.”
31Abraham said, “Now that I have been so bold as to speak to the Lord, what if only twenty can be found there?”
He said, “For the sake of twenty, I will not destroy it.”
32Then he said, “May the Lord not be angry, but let me speak just once more. What if only ten can be found there?”
He answered, “For the sake of ten, I will not destroy it.”
33When the Lord had finished speaking with Abraham, he left, and Abraham returned home.
For the sake of ten good men the Lord would not destroy Sodom and yet we see that it was destroyed. What does that say about America? A person's "vote" does not make them a good or righteous man. For the sake of a few the Lord would spare America but it appears that finding a few righteous men in America is hard to find. The evidence is the man who now sits in the white house, who is a reflection of who the American people are and what they deserve.
This writer wants to be clear. Obama is the effect of the underlying cause, the spiritual state of the people. Playing "church" and being the Church are two radically different concepts. A man can "go to church" one or two times a week but being the church 24/7 is what we are called to. How can we "go to church" if WE ARE the church. People "go" to a lifeless organization today instead of being the living organism that is the true living Body of Christ.
You can only paint over the rust on an old car for so long. If the rust is not removed it will destroy the entire car. The same is true for cancer and the same is true for sin.
If it is true that America is end time Babylon and I believe it is, we should be trembling in our shoes. We should be praying in fear that we will not be judged with her and partake in her plagues. Today's "church" in all its arrogance has lost all fear of the Lord. "Why should we fear Him" they ask? If they have to ask that question it is proof positive they do not know Him...at all. When you get up close to this Holy God if you are not trembling to the core of your being there is something WRONG.
If you have been reading posts here for long you know this writer often mentions a "destroyer" that is coming. What is this destroyer? I do not know but whatever it is it does not sound good:
56A destroyer will come against Babylon;
her warriors will be captured,
and their bows will be broken.
For the Lord is a God of retribution;
he will repay in full.
So much for the cotton candied fuzzy warm sugar daddy in the sky "god" of today's Christianity. This God is a God of RETRIBUTION among other things. He will repay in full....
Sorry for the long post. Since the day of the (s)election this has been all that my spirit has been impressed with.
