If nothing else happens apart from what is already happening right now, if we remain on our current trajectory that is all that needs to happen to fulfill every letter of prophesy written in the Word. What do I mean? Take the Shemitah for example, the Chinese just lost a couple trillion dollars in market value. Does that count? Does that affect the world markets? You bet it does. Also consider the state of the Euro economic union. It is in tatters and getting worse each day. Does that count? Does that matter? You bet it does. Look at the US markets, the bond market has no liquidity and the equity markets are hanging onto break even points for the year. Does that count? Does that matter? Yep.
Understand that nothing extra has to happen to run everything into the ground.....All that has to happen is we stay on our current trajectory.
The mark of the beast is on track to be ready in 3.5 years (if the tribulation were to start today the mark system could be ready 3.5 years from now). It is almost ready today. The global economy is at its tipping point, ready to go down the drain just in time for the new beast economic system to take its place. The moral and spiritual decay that already exists today puts the Lord in danger of having to apologize to Sodom and Gomorrah. So you see, we are already there. If we get another sudden push downward on the economy it will be the coup de grace but it is not needed, we will get there one way or another.
Another point to emphasize is, the Lord is a "date setter." Thats right, you read that correctly. When do the fall feasts of the Lord occur? On very specific dates. Why did the Lord give us 1290, and 1335 days, 3.5 years etc over and over again so many different ways? Because He is setting dates. From the time the abomination of desolation takes place people will know to the day how much longer the anti-Christ will be empowered and when it will all end.
There is one date we do not know and that is the unknown day and hour return of the Lord. That's it. And when it comes to setting dates for that return you can put me at the top of the list of date setters because I believe He can return at any moment now. So my date for today is today, and my date for tomorrow is tomorrow. I have been wrong every day up through today but one day I will be right and on that day not a single day I was wrong will matter......
When people throw dates out for us to consider, I take them all seriously. Why? Because I am expecting the Lord every day. Has it destroyed my faith that I have expected Him every day and He has not shown up yet? No. He said He was coming, He said to expect Him and watch for Him and that is exactly what I plan to do every single day until He shows up.
On the day the Lord does arrive there will be many people who will be sorry. Proof? Sure:
Matt 25: 1Then shall the kingdom of heaven be likened unto ten virgins, which took their lamps, and went forth to meet the bridegroom. 2And five of them were wise, and five were foolish. 3They that were foolish took their lamps, and took no oil with them: 4But the wise took oil in their vessels with their lamps. 5While the bridegroom tarried, they all slumbered and slept. 6And at midnight there was a cry made, Behold, the bridegroom cometh; go ye out to meet him. 7Then all those virgins arose, and trimmed their lamps. 8And the foolish said unto the wise, Give us of your oil; for our lamps are gone out. 9But the wise answered, saying, Not so; lest there be not enough for us and you: but go ye rather to them that sell, and buy for yourselves. 10And while they went to buy, the bridegroom came; and they that were ready went in with him to the marriage: and the door was shut. 11Afterward came also the other virgins, saying, Lord, Lord, open to us. 12But he answered and said, Verily I say unto you, I know you not. 13Watch therefore, for ye know neither the day nor the hour wherein the Son of man cometh.
There are legions of Christians out there today who preach and teach that the Lord cannot come back until x,y, and z happen first. What is their major mistake? They confuse the "second coming" of Rev 19 with the unknown coming spoken of throughout the gospels.
Mark 13:32But of that day and that hour knoweth no man, no, not the angels which are in heaven, neither the Son, but the Father.
33Take ye heed, watch and pray: for ye know not when the time is.
34For the Son of man is
as a man taking a far journey, who left his house, and gave authority
to his servants, and to every man his work, and commanded the porter to
watch.
35Watch
ye therefore: for ye know not when the master of the house cometh, at
even, or at midnight, or at the cockcrowing, or in the morning:
36Lest coming suddenly he find you sleeping.
37And what I say unto you I say unto all, Watch.
Could He tell us in any more certain language there is an unknown coming? We, all of us know the Lord is coming at the end of the tribulation. We know to the day when He is coming because it is His presence that eviscerates the anti-Christ:
2 Thessalonians 2:8 and then shall be revealed the Lawless One, whom the Lord shall consume with the
spirit of his mouth, and shall destroy with the manifestation of his presence,
The anti-Christ has 3.5 years and not a day more.
What are we told? Watch, watch watch. For what? For the coming of the Lord, the unknown day and time coming of the Lord. Yet so many today are still in willful disobedience to this command. They do not watch and they teach others not to watch. Is that not a grievous error?
As Matt 7 says, judge not and I am not their judge. I cannot judge but I can assess the problem and the solution. The solution is to do what we were told to do: watch. If we are watching and waiting for the Lord every day, there is no way we can be wrong. If He comes today, we are ready. If He shows up mid-trib, we are ready. If He shows up at the end of the tribulation, we are ready. There is no effective argument against this approach whatsoever. Why is that? Because a perfect All knowing, all powerful God is the one who told us to do it.
Conclusion
Nothing dramatic whatsoever has to happen on any given day in the future for everything we have been talking about to come to pass. The bond market bubble is about to pop right now, the equity markets around the world are struggling. Governments around the world are buried in debt, and ready to impose draconian taxes and military force on people to prop themselves up a little longer. That is where we stand today without any additional help from one day or another. If however we do see some spectacular events on the days ahead that will be fuel for the fire that is already raging.
The Lord is coming, thats a fact. He will show up on some unexpected day at a time that we do not know just as He said He would. The only effective response to this situation is to be ready each and every day. We cannot and will not be like the foolish virgins. Today is the day to be ready to meet Him. Today is the day to prepare.
