Ecc 3:1There is a time for everything,
and a season for every activity under the heavens:
2a time to be born and a time to die,
a time to plant and a time to uproot,
3a time to kill and a time to heal,
a time to tear down and a time to build,
4a time to weep and a time to laugh,
a time to mourn and a time to dance,
5a time to scatter stones and a time to gather them,
a time to embrace and a time to refrain from embracing,
6a time to search and a time to give up,
a time to keep and a time to throw away,
7a time to tear and a time to mend,
a time to be silent and a time to speak,
8a time to love and a time to hate,
a time for war and a time for peace.
Its important enough to dedicate a chapter in the Bible to it. Its important enough for the Lord to detail to the very day, the time associated with the tribulation
Dan 12:11“From
the time that the daily sacrifice is abolished and the abomination that
causes desolation is set up, there will be 1,290 days.
12Blessed is the one who waits for and reaches the end of the 1,335 days.
13“As
for you, go your way till the end. You will rest, and then at the end
of the days you will rise to receive your allotted inheritance.”
Rev 11:2 But exclude the outer court; do not measure it, because it has been given to the Gentiles. They will trample on the holy city for 42 months.
Rev 13:5 The beast was given a mouth to utter proud words and blasphemies and to exercise its authority for forty-two months.
Israel became a nation again when? On just any ordinary day? No, on a very precise, very specific day: Pentecost: May 14, 1948.
So what?
So, time is working itself out in such a way that this world is being squeezed for time. What do I mean? May 14, 1948 plus 70 years (one generation) equals what? May 14, 2018. June 10, 1967 is another important date. June 10, 1967 plus 49 years (Shemitah/Jubilee cycle) equals what? 2016.
I can hear some already saying "whoa brother D, you are date setting!" Wrong, I am date observing and by the way "nobody knows the day or hour" does not give a Christian the ability write off the entirety of end times scripture and prophesy. "Nobody knows the day or hour" has application to the unknown day and hour of our Lord's unknown coming (not the "second coming"). The unknown day and hour are important for our preparedness. What are all these other dates and times that the Lord would have us know about? The known dates and times give us a clear framework to place the unknown date and time.
Those of us who take the Word of the Lord at face value are expecting a deliverance event known as "escape from all that is about to happen" spelled out in Luke 21:36. "All that is about to happen" is spelled out (in context) in Luke 21:1-35. If "all that is about to happen" is about to happen what does that tell us about our time left on earth? It is being squeezed, there is not much left.
I am amazed at how many Christians have no interest in prophesy whatsoever. I was talking with a guy the other day and he said "that whole Shemitah business is all date setting. People should do more praying instead of getting so caught up in prophesy." I was amazed. I replied back to him "uh, praying is great but you need to remember prayer and prophesy both come from the Lord and we should pay attention to both not one or the other."
People are not ready for what is coming. They (especially Christians) have their heads buried so deep in the sand they can hardly breathe much less see. If we are running out of time, does that make a difference? Obviously. Any sane person will perceive the world around them differently if they know they only have a week or a month or a year to live. Time matters....
Here is Jesus speaking to the religious people of His day:
2He replied, “When evening comes, you say, ‘It will be fair weather, for the sky is red,’ 3and in the morning, ‘Today it will be stormy, for the sky is red and overcast.’ You know how to interpret the appearance of the sky, but you cannot interpret the signs of the times.a 4A wicked and adulterous generation looks for a sign, but none will be given it except the sign of Jonah.” Jesus then left them and went away.
Are the religious people of today any different? No, they are no different at all.
The Lord gave us a truckload of very specific, time centric measuring sticks to use in these days and the days ahead. The rebirth of Israel restarted the (observable to us) prophetic clock. Can we time the day and hour of our Lord's unknown coming with this? No. Can we be aware of the signs of the times? Yes. Can we be aware of the shortness of time and act differently (not taking time for granted)? Yes.
The naysayers and shills are out in full force, denying everything from the blood moon tetrad (saying they weren't "really" blood moons), to the Shemitah cycle (its "date setting"??). Thats fine. Try denying the economic catastrophe that is visible on the horizon. Try denying the mark of the beast technology that is a year or two away from implementation. Try denying the tens of millions of animal deaths, natural disasters, comets, meteors, societal decay, wars and rumors of wars, persecution of Christians and Jews, etc etc.
What does it all add up to? Shortness of time. There is no time left. So what? So we can adjust our minds, and hearts, and spirits to the little time that is left. The message we have for others should change with the shortness of time. The Spirit of the Lord will guide you in delivery of that message. We do not know the day or hour of our Lord's return for us but we know He told us to look for His return and we know He said thousands of years ago that time was short. If time was short 2,000 years ago where does that put us today? On a razors edge.
Everything is about to change. There is no need to set dates or times, it is enough to understand the season we find ourselves in. Listen to what the Spirit is saying to the Churches. What is the Church? It is you and me and every other believer who is in Christ today. What is the Spirit saying to you? This post tells you what He is saying to me.
Grace, peace, mercy and love to you from our Lord Jesus Christ and our Father in heaven.
