When a Feast of Trumpets comes and goes and we see the Lord has decided to tarry, it is not time to go back to sleep. There are at least two reasons for this:
1. We have no idea how long He will tarry-When He told us no man knows the day or hour that can mean either the Feast of Trumpets or any other days of the year. The Feast of Trumpets appears to be the most likely season for the Lord to come back for us but we also have to take the other possibility (any other day) just as seriously because either way His Word will be fulfilled precisely.
and
2. Everything is a test-the Lord is constantly watching our hearts and minds to see how we respond to things. Are we responding in faith and obedience or are we responding some other way:
Deut 8:2 Remember how the LORD your God led you all the way in the wilderness these forty years, to humble and test you in order to know what was in your heart, whether or not you would keep his commands.
When the Lord tarries will we keep His command to continually watch? Are we prepared to watch for another 20 or 30 or more Feast of Trumpets seasons without Him showing up and we continue to watch? How long do we continue to watch? As long as it takes....We have to make up our minds beforehand that we are in this till the end, however long that takes. We will not make the same mistake made by the foolish virgins:
Matt 25:1Then shall the kingdom of heaven be likened unto ten virgins, which took their lamps, and went forth to meet the bridegroom. 2And five of them were wise, and five were foolish. 3 They that were foolish took their lamps, and took no oil with them: 4But the wise took oil in their vessels with their lamps. 5While the bridegroom tarried, they all slumbered and slept. 6And at midnight there was a cry made, Behold, the bridegroom cometh; go ye out to meet him. 7Then all those virgins arose, and trimmed their lamps. 8And the foolish said unto the wise, Give us of your oil; for our lamps are gone out. 9But the wise answered, saying, Not so; lest there be not enough for us and you: but go ye rather to them that sell, and buy for yourselves. 10And while they went to buy, the bridegroom came; and they that were ready went in with him to the marriage: and the door was shut. 11Afterward came also the other virgins, saying, Lord, Lord, open to us. 12But he answered and said, Verily I say unto you, I know you not. 13Watch therefore, for ye know neither the day nor the hour wherein the Son of man cometh.
What was their mistake? They had not prepared to wait. The wise took oil with them. There is one and only one reason behind this, they were prepared to wait....
While we wait we can be encouraged by the fact that the Lord is hard at work in this world setting the stage for what is to come. The natural disasters are getting worse and more frequent. People are ready to rip their neighbors head off for looking at them the wrong way. There is a sovereign debt crisis (Mr. Martin Armstrong's work) that begins next year which will set the stage for the one world financial system. And last but most certainly not least the Lord Himself has given us a multitude of signs signaling to us that time is short. Make no mistake, the lunar tetrad on the Lord's feast days and this recent "great American eclipse" were signed and sealed by the Almighty. This world has been transformed in the mere two years since the last of the blood moons in 2015. The poster children for this transformation are Europe and the Middle East.
We will soon be able to add to the list of transformation the United States which has been singled out among the nations. The United States and Israel are joined at the hip. What is bad for one is bad for the other. Israel should be shuddering at what is happening to the U.S. When the United States is taken out of the way, this is next:
Luke 21:20 And when ye shall see Jerusalem compassed with armies, then know that the desolation thereof is nigh. 21Then let them which are in Judaea flee to the mountains; and let them which are in the midst of it depart out; and let not them that are in the countries enter thereinto. 22For these be the days of vengeance, that all things which are written may be fulfilled. 23But woe unto them that are with child, and to them that give suck, in those days! for there shall be great distress in the land, and wrath upon this people. 24And they shall fall by the edge of the sword, and shall be led away captive into all nations: and Jerusalem shall be trodden down of the Gentiles, until the times of the Gentiles be fulfilled.
Even now the middle east is being transformed to accomplish this ^^ very purpose.
Babylon is the west. Specifically it is either America or the "new" transformed Europe or both. Either way the judgement of this Babylonian system is coming:
18:4And I heard another voice from heaven, saying, Come out of her, my people, that ye be not partakers of her sins, and that ye receive not of her plagues. 5For her sins have reached unto heaven, and God hath remembered her iniquities. 6Reward her even as she rewarded you, and double unto her double according to her works: in the cup which she hath filled fill to her double. 7How much she hath glorified herself, and lived deliciously, so much torment and sorrow give her: for she saith in her heart, I sit a queen, and am no widow, and shall see no sorrow. 8Therefore shall her plagues come in one day, death, and mourning, and famine; and she shall be utterly burned with fire: for strong is the Lord God who judgeth her.
We have been warned and as it has been said here time and again we do not have to predict what is coming. He already predicted everything. Re-read Revelation 18 above, Babylon is going to burn...utterly. Death, mourning and famine, in one day. That's what is coming. So, now is not a good time to go back to sleep. Keep your oil full and your lamps trimmed for the Bridegroom IS coming and we must be watching and ready when He does.
