So many people are caught up in other things, this season is an excellent example of how the return of the Lord will catch people off guard. The Christian community is either too busy preaching doom and gloom or cotton candy in the sky churchianity to bother warning the people of the Lord's imminent return. This servant would like to know what exactly it is all these people have going on that is more important than the arrival of the King? Everything else they are talking about is complete garbage.
Yes, we have enemy attacks in the news daily. The enemy will continue to try to do their worst until they are permanently restrained. How about "what about all the unsaved brother D?" Will there be a time the Lord returns when there will be no unsaved who need salvation? No, so what other excuses are people using? This, that and the other thing just get in the way. They can't be bothered. Really? Yes, really. They are too busy building their "brand" or their YouTube channel or their business, and cannot be bothered with the return of the King.
We were warned about this:
Matt 24
36“But concerning that day and hour no one knows, not even the angels of heaven, nor the Son,b but the Father only.37For as were the days of Noah, so will be the coming of the Son of Man. 38For as in those days before the flood they were eating and drinking, marrying and giving in marriage, until the day when Noah entered the ark, 39and they were unaware until the flood came and swept them all away, so will be the coming of the Son of Man. 40Then two men will be in the field; one will be taken and one left. 41Two women will be grinding at the mill; one will be taken and one left. 42Therefore, stay awake, for you do not know on what day your Lord is coming. 43But know this, that if the master of the house had known in what part of the night the thief was coming, he would have stayed awake and would not have let his house be broken into.44Therefore you also must be ready, for the Son of Man is coming at an hour you do not expect.
45“Who then is the faithful and wise servant,c whom his master has set over his household, to give them their food at the proper time? 46Blessed is that servant whom his master will find so doing when he comes. 47Truly, I say to you, he will set him over all his possessions. 48But if that wicked servant says to himself, ‘My master is delayed,’ 49and begins to beat his fellow servantsd and eats and drinks with drunkards, 50the master of that servant will come on a day when he does not expect him and at an hour he does not know 51and will cut him in pieces and put him with the hypocrites. In that place there will be weeping and gnashing of teeth.
In other words, it was business as usual the day He returns unexpected. There are opinions all over the landscape telling when the Lord "has to arrive" (the two days of the Feast of Trumpets supposedly), then there are those who are picking other Feast days, others with other opinions-its all over the place. On the other side we hear those too busy telling us how bad the enemy wants to do terrible things to us, and their YouTube channel is growing so they can't be bothered preaching the return of the King. We have those who tell us "Yea, I'm watching but I really don't think He is coming." The opinions are literally all over the place. Then there are the many who just don't care or can't be bothered to even mention it. The Lord's return is the farthest thing from their mind.
We are to stay on the narrow road. the narrow road does not have 8 zillion opinions on it, just the Word of God. What does the Word tell us to do? Predict? No. Be watching and ready? Yes. It's just that simple. In season and out of season we are watching and ready.
Now, bringing us back to this season-it would appear this world is about ready for the time of Jacob's trouble. If it is not right on top of us, it appears very close. There are stress fractures everywhere we look in this world that indicate the return of the Lord could be at the door. That said, today we remain in the age of grace. Today the Restrainer is still present on the earth and doing its job. While we are here, we do not lay down (Lay people) and allow the enemy to steamroll over us. We are engaging every tool in our arsenal to restrain, bind, rebuke, retard, slow down, prevent, delay every enemy advance everywhere we see them attempting to act. That is our job.
The Spirit filled Church is the Restrainer as far as this servant can tell which means we have a lot of work to do-every day. Yesterday the enemy murdered one of our own-Mr Charlie Kirk. The Spirit of the Lord impressed upon this servant we are to pray that 100 more Charlie Kirks are raised up and sent into the battle. An army of Christian apologists is to be sent onto college campuses and to every work that Mr Kirk was engaged in. The enemy has messed this up or failed to understand how this works from the beginning. "Their" first mistake was to kill our Lord Jesus Christ. What they thought was their paramount victory ended up being the key to their undoing. Now they have murdered Charlie Kirk thinking that will save them. It will not. A tsunami of hurt is coming the enemy's way. The blood they spilled yesterday will be another brick in the wall of their undoing.
How does anything finite expect to find victory over the infinite? Our God is all knowing, all powerful. He read their playbook before they ever took the field to play the game. He looks over their shoulder while they plot and plan. We stand in agreement with our Lord and with each other that all of the plots, plans and agendas of the enemy will be undone, of no effect, complete useless while the Church remains on the face of the earth.
The Charlie Kirk murder is another reason why the Church has been designed as a decentralized (on earth) power structure. Spiritually it is absolutely centralized under our King but on this earth we operate as cells under the leadership of our God who can be everywhere to everyone at the same time. No other being in creation including our adversary can do this. "They" take down one cell, ten rise up to take their place. They cannot win this war.
Time to wrap this up for today-we are in high watch and readiness season for the return of the Lord. Through the Feast of Trumpets we are on very high watch. If the Lord tarries we go back to high, every day watching and readiness. This Feast of Trumpets is the beginning of something. This servant disagrees with those who say "the Lord has to return on the Feast of Trumpets." This servant has not read that anywhere in the Bible. In fact our King provided His own disclaimer to that indicating to us He can come back unexpectedly whenever He wants. It could be the day after, a week after, a month after the Feast of Trumpets-it could be whenever. So there is no "get out of jail free" card for the mockers and scoffers.
