Feast of Trumpets 2025-Day 1

Interesting today the ETF representing the SP500 hit 666.  Here is an AI recap of what's going on at the UN today:

### UN General Assembly High-Level Week: Focus on Israel-Palestine

Today, September 23, 2025, marks the opening day of the high-level general debate at the 80th session of the United Nations General Assembly (UNGA) in New York. The theme is "Better together: 80 years and more for peace, development and human rights." The Israel-Palestine conflict is dominating discussions, building on a UN-hosted summit held yesterday (September 22) that rallied world leaders around Palestinian statehood and a two-state solution. Israel's ongoing military operations in Gaza, settlement expansions in the West Bank, and a recent UN report accusing Israel of genocide are fueling intense scrutiny and diplomatic tensions.

#### Key Developments Involving Israel Today

- **General Debate Speeches**: World leaders are delivering addresses, with the Middle East crisis as a central agenda item. UN Secretary-General António Guterres has reiterated calls for an immediate ceasefire in Gaza, the release of all hostages, and implementation of the two-state solution, warning that the region is "at a breaking point." Speeches are expected to address Israel's ground offensive in Gaza City, which has shut down hospitals and displaced thousands, alongside demands for accountability.

- **Trump's Address**: U.S. President Donald Trump is scheduled to speak, where he has already signaled opposition to recognizing a Palestinian state, calling it a "reward for Hamas" that would undermine Israel's security. He emphasized negotiations and U.S.-brokered peace deals like the Abraham Accords, while criticizing the UN for "empty words" and funding issues unrelated to the conflict (e.g., border policies). This stance aligns with Israel's boycott of recent UN events but contrasts with growing international momentum for Palestine.

- **Potential Walkouts or Protests**: Social media reports and live updates indicate possible disruptions, such as walkouts during Israeli-related segments, echoing yesterday's global outrage over Israel's actions. Protesters outside UN headquarters are dismissing state recognitions as "symbolic" and calling for concrete actions like arms embargoes and sanctions.

#### Momentum from Yesterday's Two-State Solution Summit (September 22)

The summit, a follow-up to the July 2025 conference, saw dozens of leaders endorse the "New York Declaration" (adopted by UNGA on September 12 with 142 votes in favor, 10 against—including Israel and the U.S.—and 12 abstentions). Key highlights:

- **State Recognitions Surge**: France, the UK, Canada, Australia, Luxembourg, Malta, Belgium, and Monaco formally recognized Palestine, bringing the total to over 80% of UN members (about 154 states). French President Emmanuel Macron outlined a roadmap including a ceasefire, hostage release, and a demilitarized Palestinian state under a reformed Palestinian Authority.

- **Israel's Response**: Israel boycotted the event, with Ambassador Danny Danon calling it a "circus" that "rewards terrorism." Israeli officials reiterated rejection of unilateral recognitions, arguing they undermine direct negotiations.

- **Broader Calls**: Speakers like Turkish President Tayyip Erdoğan and Canadian Prime Minister Mark Carney urged disarmament of Hamas, normalization with Arab states, and UN-monitored ceasefires. The declaration condemns the October 7, 2023, Hamas attacks but also Israel's "siege and starvation" in Gaza.

#### Recent UN Report on Gaza

A bombshell report released earlier this month (September 16) by the UN Independent International Commission of Inquiry concluded that Israel has committed genocide in Gaza since October 2023. Key findings:

- **Acts of Genocide**: Israel is accused of four of the five acts under the 1948 Genocide Convention—killing members of the group (nearly 65,000 Palestinian deaths, mostly civilians), causing serious harm, inflicting destructive conditions (e.g., famine risks affecting 2.1 million people), and preventing births.

- **Intent**: Explicit statements by Israeli leaders (including Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu) and patterns of conduct show "genocidal intent" to destroy Palestinians in Gaza as a group.

- **Recommendations**: UN members must halt arms transfers to Israel, investigate complicity, and pursue accountability. The report covers events up to July 31, 2025, amid Israel's partial restoration of aid access but ongoing blockades.

This report is amplifying today's debates, with calls for sanctions and a UN-backed protection mission for Palestinian civilians.

#### Broader Context and Tensions

- **On the Ground**: Israel's approval of thousands of new West Bank settlements (potentially "cutting the territory in two") and deepening Gaza offensive continue unabated, despite recognitions. Humanitarian conditions remain dire, with famine declared in parts of Gaza last month.

- **U.S.-Israel Alignment**: The U.S. (under Trump) and Israel remain isolated, with the U.S. vetoing related Security Council resolutions historically. Side meetings today may include U.S. Secretary of State Marco Rubio discussing Israel-Syria border security.

- **Global Divide**: While Europe and much of the Global South push for Palestine, pro-Israel voices (e.g., U.S. evangelicals) decry UN "bias." X (formerly Twitter) is buzzing with real-time reactions, from pro-Palestine walkout videos to defenses of Israel's security needs.

The week's events (through September 29) include side events on ceasefires and bilateral meetings, but expectations for breakthroughs are low given Israel's stance. For live coverage, follow UN Web TV or Al Jazeera's updates. This reflects a diplomatic high-water mark for Palestinian statehood, but implementation hinges on halting violence—something today's speeches underscore as urgent.

On the day of the Feast of Trumpets 2025, the whole world is focused on Israel.  What did the Bible say would happen?  The ETF proxy for the S&P 500 hit 666.  We see the end time Babylonian system being constructed all around us.  So, if the Lord comes back today or tomorrow-great, let's go.  If He does not show up for us today or tomorrow, based on the signs of the times we see around us-we better stay dialed into Him daily-watching and waiting at His door.

Prov 8:34

Blessed are those who listen to me, watching daily at my doors, waiting at my doorway.

This servant has seen 0 in the Word of God that limits His ability to unexpectedly return for us at the time of His choosing.  While the Wording of His return points to the Feast of Trumpets "no man knows the day or hour" He does not leave the subject alone there.  He goes on to explain to us in detail its going to be unexpected, even for us who are watching for it:

Luke 12

35Let your loins be girded about, and your lights burning; 36And ye yourselves like unto men that wait for their lord, when he will return from the wedding; that when he cometh and knocketh, they may open unto him immediately. 37Blessed arethose servants, whom the lord when he cometh shall find watching: verily I say unto you, that he shall gird himself, and make them to sit down to meat, and will come forth and serve them. 38And if he shall come in the second watch, or come in the third watch, and find them so, blessed are those servants.

39And this know, that if the goodman of the house had known what hour the thief would come, he would have watched, and not have suffered his house to be broken through. 40Be ye therefore ready also: for the Son of man cometh at an hour when ye think not.

^^^There are quite a few people watching for the Lord's return today and tomorrow. Yet, He tells us when it happens it's not when we are going to be expecting it.  His Commander's intent is to surprise us and for sure the world with this event.  This is why He tells us over and over to be watching, all the time-not just on Feast days or special day-watch always:

Luke 21

36Watch ye therefore, and pray always, that ye may be accounted worthy to escape all these things that shall come to pass, and to stand before the Son of man.

He drives this ^^^ same point home over and over again.  So, should we be watching and ready on the Feast of Trumpets?  Certainly, yes.  Can we relax on 9/25, clap our hands and declare "all clear until next year!"  Absolutely not.  As this world accelerates toward the time of Jacob's trouble, we need to accelerate our preparations to meet our Lord.  That includes the instructions given to us in Luke 12 which tells us to be about serving Him and being found doing that when He arrives unexpectedly.

Luke 12's counsel to us to be found serving, watching and ready when He arrives fits in nicely with the years long theme the Spirit of the Lord has impressed on this servant to share with you, that we are to be leveling up our talents, skills and abilities to be the best versions of ourselves, centered in His Will.  That is how we finish strong, not limping across the finish line.  The Lord has also impressed upon this servant that if He does not arrive today or tomorrow, this is the beginning of something, not necessarily the end.  In other words, we need to begin watching and readiness preparations at a higher level, not kick our feet up on the table for the next 12 months declaring "mission accomplished."

The events taking place at the UN right now, if not the "covenant with many," its a foreshadowing of what is about to take place when that covenant is made.  It is time to up our game.  Let's see what the Lord has decided about today and tomorrow.  While we wait we can rejoice in the possibility He takes us out of this world and we get to see Him face to Face.  What a glorious possibility.  We can declare our love for Him and tell Him in advance of our decision for Him and cutoff any attachments with this world-remember Lot's wife.

Glory to God
