There is nothing new under the sun:
Jer 25:8Therefore the Lord Almighty says this: “Because you have not listened to my words, 9I will summon all the peoples of the north and my servant Nebuchadnezzar king of Babylon,” declares the Lord, “and I will bring them against this land and its inhabitants and against all the surrounding nations. I will completely destroya them and make them an object of horror and scorn, and an everlasting ruin. 10I will banish from them the sounds of joy and gladness, the voices of bride and bridegroom, the sound of millstones and the light of the lamp. 11This whole country will become a desolate wasteland, and these nations will serve the king of Babylon seventy years.
12“But when the seventy years are fulfilled, I will punish the king of Babylon and his nation, the land of the Babylonians,b for their guilt,” declares the Lord, “and will make it desolate forever. 13I will bring on that land all the things I have spoken against it, all that are written in this book and prophesied by Jeremiah against all the nations. 14They themselves will be enslaved by many nations and great kings; I will repay them according to their deeds and the work of their hands.”
What happened before?

What is happening now?
The peoples of Babylon (Iraq/Syria) have invaded the west. The countries they have invaded are becoming unlivable. The children are bullied, the women are raped and the men do not dare enter migrant controlled areas that are growing daily. Ask the people living in Germany and Sweden for example if they have any doubt that their lives will never be the same again living it what they thought was 'their country.' Its gone, forever. A new day has dawned in the west, a Babylonian day.
What else happened before?

What is happening now?
The whole country is becoming a desolate wasteland. No, its not happening in a single day, it is taking time but the erosion is steady and increasing in measure. More Babylonian migrants means more destruction and devastation.
The last time the Lord used Babylon, the people had to serve the king of Babylon for how long?
This whole country will become a desolate wasteland, and these nations will serve the king of Babylon seventy years.
How long will the next time of service to the king of Babylon last? Seven years
Dan 9:24 "Seventy 'sevens' are decreed for your people and your holy city to finish transgression, to put an end to sin, to atone for wickedness, to bring in everlasting righteousness, to seal up vision and prophecy and to anoint the Most Holy Place.
Only seven years are allotted for the king of Babylon to rule this time. Then Babylon and the king of Babylon are finished:

Rev 18:1After this I saw another angel coming down from heaven. He had great authority, and the earth was illuminated by his splendor.

“ ‘Fallen! Fallen is Babylon the Great!’a
Time is short. The judgement against the kingdoms of this world have already begun, they are finished. Look around, the point of no return was crossed long ago. The west is finished, Trump cannot make America great again nor can anyone else. Greatness begins and ends with the King of Kings, Lord of Lords, Jesus Christ our Master and Savior. The churches along with their priests and pastors are too busy telling the people to "get out and vote" to take any meaningful action (like repent in sackcloth and ashes).
What is in our future? America is finished. Why? Can't you see it? If Hillary is elected, America is finished. If Ted Cruz (controlled by Goldman Sachs who has owned and controlled every president in recent memory) wins, America is finished. If Trump wins, America is finished. How can I be so sure? Its called divide and conquer. This nation is splintered and fragmented along every conceivable fault line possible. It is a nation utterly divided. No nation like that can stand. Why is America (and the rest of the west) increasingly splintered and fragmented as a society?
Colossians 1:17 . He is before all things, and in him all things hold together
Because only "in Him" do all things hold together. More importantly He is before all things, which means what? He comes first, period. No putting Jesus Christ at the center of everything, no repentance, means no holding things together because this nation is no longer "in Him." If it was, we would not see the splintering and fragmentation of society. As things stand the dissolution of America and the rest of the world is obvious. Judgement has been passed and we are watching the outworking of it.
What can the righteous do?
Rest. Be at peace, do what we know we should be doing. Keep the faith. Remain "in Christ." And watch the outpouring of wrath and judgement on this world. Why is it important for us to watch the wrath and judgement being poured out around us? Because one day we will rule and reign with our Lord.

5And from Jesus Christ, who is the faithful witness, and
the first begotten of the dead, and the prince of the kings of the
earth. Unto him that loved us, and washed us from our sins in his own

6And hath made us kings and priests unto God and his Father; to him be glory and dominion for ever and ever. Amen.
Mankind has had its chance to do things the way they wanted. They kicked our God out and went their own way and look what they have accomplished. The entire world is teetering on the brink of war and extinction. The oceans and fields are polluted with fukushima fallout, oil and corexit (BP oil spill). Corruption, greed, fraud, godlessness, lawlessness and selfishness are endemic and every day it gets significantly worse. What has happened on this world and what is happening right now are excellent lessons in what not to do. So we watch, and learn.
He has made us kings and priests (not "or", the word used is "and" which means both.) We will reign with Him:
2 Tim 2:12 if we endure, we will also reign with him. If we disown him, he will also disown us;
The good news is Babylon is rising. What is that good news? Because Babylon fallen is the next step.

Time is flying by and if that were not enough our Lord will also cut short the time again in the future
Mark 13:20 "If the Lord had not cut short those days, no one would survive. But for the sake of the elect, whom he has chosen, he has shortened them.
We just have to hold on, in Christ.
