One of the reasons the world is in the mess it is in today is because the Church (this servant included) was to varying degrees asleep while the enemy set up shop inside our camp. Now, at least some of us are fully awake and praying daily to resist the enemy in this war they have waged against humanity. We have alot (lots and lots and lots) of prayer work to do. What does the Word say?
Eph 6
18praying at all times in the Spirit, with all prayer and supplication. To that end, keep alert with all perseverance, making supplication for all the saints
1. Praying at all times (that means continually, constantly, without ceasing.)
2. With all prayer and supplication (praying about everything, leaving no enemy agenda, narrative or spiritual stronghold untouched.)
3. Praying for all the saints (in addition to praying for everything that gets our attention to include our own situations, friends, family and restraining all the evil the enemy is trying to do in the world, we also need to remember all the saints to support the Kingdom work they are doing)
This list right here ^^ when written out in detail is awe inspiring. When we consider what we must be praying for we start to understand that this is real work and we are the ones to do it. The enemy is attacking everything so we must be praying restraint over everything.
Prayer gets results. Prayer standing in agreement with each other gets even better results. Prayer standing in agreement with each other while standing on promises made by our Lord regarding whatever we are praying for gets even better results. If we do what we were put here to do, the enemy is in trouble. We are not helpless, we are not the world. We are the Church, the living Body of Jesus Christ, members of the royal household. And when we pray we get results. So, gone are the days of throwing hands up in the air and asking "what can I do about x,y,z?" We who believe can do alot about everything and anything under heaven.
And because we know that we get results when we pray, we also know that we can do something about all of the broken things in the world and all the things the enemy is attacking in their war against humanity.
Job 22
21“Submit to God and be at peace with him;
in this way prosperity will come to you.
22Accept instruction from his mouth
and lay up his words in your heart.
23If you return to the Almighty, you will be restored:
If you remove wickedness far from your tent
24and assign your nuggets to the dust,
your gold of Ophir to the rocks in the ravines,
25then the Almighty will be your gold,
the choicest silver for you.
26Surely then you will find delight in the Almighty
and will lift up your face to God.
27You will pray to him, and he will hear you,
and you will fulfill your vows.
28What you decide on will be done,
and light will shine on your ways.
29When people are brought low and you say, ‘Lift them up!’
then he will save the downcast.
30He will deliver even one who is not innocent,
who will be delivered through the cleanness of your hands.”
