The End of All Things is Near

The bible clearly tells us that the end of all things is near. Recognizing this, what do you think the Holy Spirit's command is for us?

Compare what the bible says to all the advice you hear from today's apostate preachers....

The end is near, so we should.....

"get involved" with politics? Nope
build a bunker? Nope
stockpile food? Nope
"get involved" with some church group? Nope
Use "intention" to intend the worlds problems away? Nope
Adopt a positive attitude? Nope
Adopt a negative attitude? Nope
Do nothing? Nope

Here's where those with faith distance themselves light years away from the faithless. The attitude of those with no faith is that if we want to "make a difference" we have to put our back into it, use our arms and legs to physically move the mountains around us. Not only is this attitude faithless, it's highly unwise. The bible tells us what to do since the end of all things is near, and that is:

1 Peter 4: 7The end of all things is near. Therefore be clear minded and self-controlled so that you can pray.

SO THAT YOU CAN PRAY...is prayer "doing nothing?" I would argue that I can move a continents worth of mountains with prayer before any other man can move a molehill with his back. Don't get me wrong, there is certainly a place for our good deeds in this world, HOWEVER, without prayer, all the activity in the world is just a bunch of background noise. Men of faith PRAY, do you know why? Because they KNOW that our Father is a God who answers prayers, and He is able to do more than we can ask, think, or imagine....stick that one in your pipe and smoke it for awhile.

For this reason when I hear all the apostate preachers of Babylonianity telling us to do everything under the sun (especially to give MONEY, to them of course) except PRAY, i get this nauseating feeling in my gut. They are sickening. Anyone who claims to represent the Lord's kingdom should first and foremost be an advocate of prayer. It takes faith to pray. Men who pray, do so because they EXPECT RESULTS. Our God rewards faithfulness. It's time to renew our committment to spend time with the Lord in fervent prayer. We don't get on our knees to expell hot air, we do it to move mountains.....GRACE AND PEACE
