1See, the Lord is going to lay waste the earth
and devastate it;
he will ruin its face
and scatter its inhabitants—
2it will be the same
for priest as for people,
for master as for servant,
for mistress as for maid,
for seller as for buyer,
for borrower as for lender,
for debtor as for creditor.
3The earth will be completely laid waste
and totally plundered.
The Lord has spoken this word.
4The earth dries up and withers,
the world languishes and withers,
the exalted of the earth languish.
5The earth is defiled by its people;
they have disobeyed the laws,
violated the statutes
and broken the everlasting covenant.
6Therefore a curse consumes the earth;
its people must bear their guilt.
Therefore earth’s inhabitants are burned up,
and very few are left.
7The new wine dries up and the vine withers;
all the merrymakers groan.
8The gaiety of the tambourines is stilled,
the noise of the revelers has stopped,
the joyful harp is silent.
9No longer do they drink wine with a song;
the beer is bitter to its drinkers.
10The ruined city lies desolate;
the entrance to every house is barred.
11In the streets they cry out for wine;
all joy turns to gloom,
all gaiety is banished from the earth.
12The city is left in ruins,
its gate is battered to pieces.
13So will it be on the earth
and among the nations,
as when an olive tree is beaten,
or as when gleanings are left after the grape harvest.
Notice this is a coming event not a past one. When have all the inhabitants of the earth, all of them been "burned up" to the point there were very few left?
Therefore earth’s inhabitants are burned up,
and very few are left.
Continuing on in the same chapter we have this:
But I said, “I waste away, I waste away!
Woe to me!
The treacherous betray!
With treachery the treacherous betray!”
17Terror and pit and snare await you,
O people of the earth.
18Whoever flees at the sound of terror
will fall into a pit;
whoever climbs out of the pit
will be caught in a snare.
The floodgates of the heavens are opened,
the foundations of the earth shake.
19The earth is broken up,
the earth is split asunder,
the earth is thoroughly shaken.
20The earth reels like a drunkard,
it sways like a hut in the wind;
so heavy upon it is the guilt of its rebellion
that it falls—never to rise again.
21In that day the Lord will punish
the powers in the heavens above
and the kings on the earth below.
22They will be herded together
like prisoners bound in a dungeon;
they will be shut up in prison
and be punisheda after many days.
23The moon will be abashed, the sun ashamed;
for the Lord Almighty will reign
on Mount Zion and in Jerusalem,
and before its elders, gloriously.
It has been proven before that earthquakes are a signature judgement of the Lord. Do a word search for earthquake if you haven't read the posts about them. The Lord does not always use the word earthquake though, sometimes He describes earthquakes for us in detail as He has
done for us here in Isaiah 24:the foundations of the earth shake.
19The earth is broken up,

the earth is thoroughly shaken.
20The earth reels like a drunkard,
it sways like a hut in the wind;
The whole earth is thoroughly shaken, it reels like a drunkard, like a hut in the wind. That's not one city or country, that is the entire earth He is talking about.
This is what is coming. This past summer of 2012 saw the earth scorched creating the largest natural catastrophe in U.S. history. I know from personal experience and speaking with others that the sun has turned dangerous. I don't know exactly why or how and I don't need to know, what does it matter whether I can explain that or not? You can feel the difference in the sun now and the earth can feel it too. The earth's inhabitants are beginning to be 'burned up' just exactly as the Lord said they would.
Of course the shills and scoffers and so called "experts" will come out with their ridiculous explanations to attempt to make it all go away, but it will not go away. What the Lord has opened, no man can shut and what the Lord closes no man can open. Who can undo the work of the Lord? Man is trying. If you look closely at hurricane Isaac you will see that it was a created weather event. Notice this hurricane hit squarely where water was needed, specifically the Mississippi river. The dollar value of lost commerce was pinching the powers that be so they tried their hand at playing 'god' and brought hurricane Isaac. There is alot of research behind weather modification etc and its all right there on the net for you to research should you feel inclined to do so.
The earth has already begun to reel like a drunkard and now the earth is being burned up. Admittedly we are just seeing the very very beginning of such things so denial is still an option for the masses who would rather bury their head than face the truth. And why is all this coming? Why is this happening?

The people must bear their guilt. The earth is defiled by its people. The Lord will not be mocked. Because He has long been silent people do not think He sees or hears and they have lost their fear of the Lord:
Isaiah 57:11“Whom have you so dreaded and feared
that you have been false to me,
and have neither remembered me
nor pondered this in your hearts?
Is it not because I have long been silent
that you do not fear me?
We are creeping up on the end of September and will soon be in October. October specifically is the window the fits the major earthquake pattern that has been established over the course of years. This year we had twin mega-quakes on 4/11. Add 6 months and you get 10/11. It is a window to be watching. It has been said here repeatedly that the Lord comes with EARTHQUAKE among other things:

Notice also He comes with devouring fire. The Lord wasn't kidding when He said the inhabitants of the earth will be burned up and very few will be left.

We would be wise to take these things to heart. We should ask, seek and knock today. We should ask the Lord what offensive ways we have in our hearts today that could keep us from the escape and out of the gates of heaven. Few will be saved, few walk the narrow path that leads to life (Matt 7:13-14). We will all stand before the Lord and give answers for ourselves. It will be a court held in heaven so we must legally according to the laws of the Lord prepare ourselves for that day.
This should not create fear but should spur us to action. What is the Lord saying to us personally today? Have we asked Him? Have we inquired of Him? After we have asked have we waited on Him in faith and patience? We are being tested. Time is a major part of our test. Many will fall away because they were not willing to wait. Example? Who will be kept from the hour of trial that will come upon the entire earth?
Rev 3:10Since you have kept my command to endure patiently, I will also keep you from the hour of trial that is going to come upon the whole world to test those who live on the earth.
Ask, seek, knock and do it today please:
Matt 77“Ask and it will be given to you; seek and you will find; knock and the door will be opened to you. 8For everyone who asks receives; he who seeks finds; and to him who knocks, the door will be opened.
