Rapture Window 11/14

 Today we watch for the possible return of the Lord Jesus Christ to snatch away His Church.

Luke 21

25“There will be signs in the sun, moon and stars. On the earth, nations will be in anguish and perplexity at the roaring and tossing of the sea. 26People will faint from terror, apprehensive of what is coming on the world, for the heavenly bodies will be shaken. 27At that time they will see the Son of Man coming in a cloud with power and great glory. 28When these things begin to take place, stand up and lift up your heads, because your redemption is drawing near.”

When these things ^^^ begin to take place...

34“Be careful, or your hearts will be weighed down with carousing, drunkenness and the anxieties of life, and that day will close on you suddenly like a trap. 35For it will come on all those who live on the face of the whole earth. 36Be always on the watch, and pray that you may be able to escape all that is about to happen, and that you may be able to stand before the Son of Man.”

We were given orders by the Most High God to always be on the watch.  What does "always" mean.  We know what it means, it means today, tomorrow and the next day etc.  If we do exactly what we were told to do, its almost impossible to screw it up.  We don't need rapture theories made by men, we just need to do exactly what we were told to do.

This nobody who writes to you today is eager to use any little excuse to watch for the return of the Lord Jesus Christ in the clouds.  Why?  1. Its what we were told to do and 2. We are looking forward to that blessed day.  We have our eyes on the sky while at the same time we are fully engaged here on earth.  This is the life of a soldier.  A soldier understands constant continual readiness.  A soldier understands they could be deployed at any moment.  A soldier that is not deployed is usually training to deploy.  It is exactly the same for us who believe.  We are ready to leave at a moments notice, and we are ready to stay to do our job on earth.

Our job in this season is many things (everything we were told to do in the Word of God).  What is prominent among those things in this season is 1.  Building/adding to the Kingdom of the Most High God souls.  2.  Restraining, binding, rebuking the kingdom of darkness.  Number 2. directly supports number 1.

There are many moving pieces on the game board called earth these days.  We must stay focused on what matters.  We keep our eyes on Jesus Christ and His Kingdom:

Matt 6

25“Therefore I tell you, do not worry about your life, what you will eat or drink; or about your body, what you will wear. Is not life more than food, and the body more than clothes? 26Look at the birds of the air; they do not sow or reap or store away in barns, and yet your heavenly Father feeds them. Are you not much more valuable than they? 27Can any one of you by worrying add a single hour to your life e ?

28“And why do you worry about clothes? See how the flowers of the field grow. They do not labor or spin. 29Yet I tell you that not even Solomon in all his splendor was dressed like one of these. 30If that is how God clothes the grass of the field, which is here today and tomorrow is thrown into the fire, will he not much more clothe you—you of little faith? 31So do not worry, saying, ‘What shall we eat?’ or ‘What shall we drink?’ or ‘What shall we wear?’ 32For the pagans run after all these things, and your heavenly Father knows that you need them. 33But seek first his kingdom and his righteousness, and all these things will be given to you as well. 34Therefore do not worry about tomorrow, for tomorrow will worry about itself. Each day has enough trouble of its own.

Phil 4

4Rejoice in the Lord always. I will say it again: Rejoice! 5Let your gentleness be evident to all. The Lord is near. 6Do not be anxious about anything, but in every situation, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God. 7And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.

8Finally, brothers and sisters, whatever is true, whatever is noble, whatever is right, whatever is pure, whatever is lovely, whatever is admirable—if anything is excellent or praiseworthy—think about such things. 9Whatever you have learned or received or heard from me, or seen in me—put it into practice. And the God of peace will be with you.

Time is passing by quickly.  For those of us who belong to an eternal Kingdom, time is not a problem.  For those however who will be erased from memory, its a much different story:

Ps 9

Endless ruin has overtaken my enemies, you have uprooted their cities; even the memory of them has perished.

"They" are running out of time.  We just have to be patient, faithful, and focused on the few things that matter in this life:

Hebrews 6:12

We do not want you to become lazy, but to imitate those who through faith and patience inherit what has been promised.

Remember to pray for all the spiritual gifts, especially prophecy.  We are dearly loved children.  Get down on your knees today and check in with the Lord God to find out what guidance, instruction and encouragement He has for you today.
