The Shemitah Has Arrived, The Stock Market Tumbles

Regardless of what happens in the days ahead, if we only look at what has happened up through today we can officially confirm that the Shemitah has arrived.  Nothing else has to happen but we can rest assured much will happen.

As of today the stock markets of the world have been rocked, this time the US equity markets were included.  Today marks the 9th largest drop in Dow Jones history and nobody expects we have completed the drop yet.  What is more, the stock market/equity markets of the world are not the primary targets of this Shemitah cycle, the bond markets are.

What is happening right now according to legendary trader Martin Armstrong is the stock market corrections around the world are pushing money into bonds to complete the bond bubble.  Once bonds have been sufficiently over inflated (helped along nicely by worldwide equity markets), the bond market will pop and we will see the real correction unfold.

As of today, brother Cahn is vindicated in warning the world of a possible Shemitah correction, it has officially arrived.

Now it is time for the Shemitah and Jubilee.  What is interesting about the timing of this Shemitah is, Sunday 8/16/2015 was Elul 1.  Did you see brother Cahns latest video that was posted  a few days ago?  Elul 1 was this past Sunday, today is Elul 6 and we are well underway for this cycle's Shemitah and Jubilee which culminate on Elul 29, 9/13/2015 about 3 weeks from now.

Our God is very great.  His hand is unmistakably on the financial markets of this world.  In a backslidden anti-Christ world that is all about mammon, there is no better way to get people's attention then to strike at the heart of financial markets.  In fact, isn't that what the Shemitah year, and Jubilee year are all about?  It is a time to turn from worldly things to focus on spiritual, Godly, Jehovah and Jesus Christ things.

This time, during this Shemitah no one unless they have been living under a rock can say they had not heard about what was coming.  So what?  Whats the point?

The point is this:  the entire tribulation period is the Lord using over the top extremes to get people's attention.  The world and its people have become so normalized, so detached from everything that it will take these extremes to actually get their attention.  It has started.  This major drop in world equity markets was the first salvo in a spiritual artillery barrage that will last for years.  Amazingly, most people will shrug it all off.  Absolutely amazing.  The point in these extremes (financial, natural, supernatural, societal, political etc) is to get our attention.

Does the Lord have our attention?  He certainly has mine.  I told Him a long time ago that He does not have to kick me in the teeth to get my attention.  Just whisper to me and if the command is "jump!" my only question will be "how high?"  We are to be the broken hearted, the lowly and contrite who tremble at His Word.  We are to be those servants who only need a whispered command to swiftly move into action to do our Master's bidding.

His hand is at work and the world is trembling....can you see it?  Glory to God.

September 23, 2015 Part 2

I have been asking the Lord about September, 2015.  I asked Him about this September 23, 2015 date "is anything going to happen?"  I do not think I received a direct answer but what He did share left me in amazement.

Bottom line up front:  There is a link between the day of atonement, Jubilee and the tribulation.

Today I stumbled across a brother Jonathan video from 3 years (roughly) ago.  Thanks to brother Jonathan and some commentary from the Spirit of the Lord during and after watching that video I believe I have more of an answer than I had before about this September.

What are the pieces of the puzzle we need to put together to get the big picture?

The Jubilee year begins on the day of atonement.  Why does a festive year like Jubilee start with the most solemn day of the Hebrew calendar?  You cannot get to the joy and celebration without going through the atonement and reconciliation for sin.  Sin must be dealt with first, then when we are right with the Lord we can all celebrate but first things first.

So here is what brother Cahn did, he typed in the words associated with day of atonement/Jubilee and searched the Bible for those words.  The words are "sin, iniquity, transgression" from Leviticus 16 (the scapegoat and the day of atonement."  When he typed those words into the search there was only one return.  Here it is:

Daniel 9:24 "Seventy weeks have been decreed for your people and your holy city, to finish the transgression, to make an end of sin, to make atonement for iniquity, to bring in everlasting righteousness, to seal up vision and prophecy and to anoint the most holy place."

And there it is, a direct link between the day of atonement, the Jubilee year and the tribulation (Daniel's seventieth week).  But the Lord was not finished with this, there is more.....

What do we know about the Shemitah?

Leviticus 25 teaches there is a Shemitah year, a sabbath year of rest after every 6 years.  Israel stopped observing the Lord's command to rest the land every 7th year so what resulted was the Babylonian captivity.  Israel was to remain captive in Babylon for 70 years, 1 year for every Shemitah year that was not observed.


 Jer 25: 8“Therefore thus says the LORD of hosts, ‘Because you have not obeyed My words, 9behold, I will send and take all the families of the north,’ declares the LORD, ‘and I will send to Nebuchadnezzar king of Babylon, My servant, and will bring them against this land and against its inhabitants and against all these nations round about; and I will utterly destroy them and make them a horror and a hissing, and an everlasting desolation. 10‘Moreover, I will take from them the voice of joy and the voice of gladness, the voice of the bridegroom and the voice of the bride, the sound of the millstones and the light of the lamp. 11‘This whole land will be a desolation and a horror, and these nations will serve the king of Babylon seventy years.

2 Chroni 36:21to fulfill the word of the LORD by the mouth of Jeremiah, until the land had enjoyed its sabbaths. All the days of its desolation it kept sabbath until seventy years were complete.

So?  What does that have to do with today?  The financial markets of the world have been a witness to the re-established Shemitah cycle.  Brother Cahn wrote a best selling book about this cycle.  Why has the Shemitah cycle come back to life?  What happened in June of 1967?  The reunification of Jerusalem after about 2000 years......Add the Shemitah cycles up from 1967 to this year and what do you get?  1967+49=? 2016.  When does 2016 start according to the Hebrew calendar?  This September.  Rosh Hashanah falls on 9/13/15 making Yom Kippur, day of atonement in the new year...2016.

So, if Israel has not been observing the Shemitah for the past 49 years (7 Shemitah cycles), according to the Lords judgement in the Babylonian captivity what could be next?  The Lord will force a sabbath rest (just as He did before) of one year for every Shemitah cycle that has not been observed.   One Shemitah cycle every 7 years divided by the total number of years (49 years-from June 1967, with provable market impacts every 7th year=verification of Shemitah years) not observed gives us a 7 year period of forced observance of the Shemitah cycle.

A 7 year period of forced Shemitah observance?  Daniel's seventieth week...To take all this to the next level we can realize the purpose of the sabbath day of rest and year of rest were to put worldly things aside for that time and focus on our relationship with the Lord.  If they will not do it willingly, it will be forced just as it was before.  Truly amazing.

An interesting fact to add to all this is the Pope will be in Washington DC to make some kind of announcement from the capitol on 9/24.

Time is short.  There will not be another Jubilee year for 50 more years.  There will not be another lunar tetrad on the feast days for hundreds of years (or something like that).  The point is we have every warning sign conceivable staring us in the face right now today.  Whatever happens in the days ahead, we cannot say we were not warned.

What The Shemitah Has Taught Us

The Shemitah cycle has been alive and well for decades if not longer.  Brother Cahn has proven this extensively in his book and videos.  The most interesting part is, the Shemitah cycle is affecting everyone, not just Israel.  This has been a point of emphasis here for a few days now.  It does not matter if someone things they are exempt because they think they are not "under the law."  It does not matter if they do not believe anything in the Old Testament applies to them.  The cycle and its impacts have affected everyone.  If you have a bank account, or money in any investment account or if you are involved in the world economy in any way, it affects you.


What is coming up this fall is a Jubilee which in essence is a super-Shemitah.  What happens during a Jubilee?  Debts are cancelled and slaves are released.  According to legendary forecaster Martin Armstrong, the next major crisis to hit this world will be a bond (debt) crisis.  Government bonds are in the process of pumping (up) in preparation for a catastrophic dump (down).  All of this is to happen precisely aligned with the coming Jubilee year that begins in Sept 2015.

If I did not know the time of Jacob's trouble was coming I would almost say we should all rejoice.   The world economy is built upon debt and debt is slavery.  The entire world system is built upon economic slavery and this current system is about to be wiped out by the Lord's super-cycles called the Shemitah and Jubilee.

As brother Jonathan Cahn explains in his videos, the Shemitah and Jubilee were designed as a blessing but when the people are disobedient and defiant it becomes are curse.  Are the people of this world living in obedience or disobedience to the Lord's commands?  They are disobedient.  So what is coming?  More of the curse.  Why do I say more?  Because as past Shemitah cycles have shown the economy is being wiped out in pieces.  Moreover, other aspects of the Lord's curse on disobedient children are evident now as well.  Recently we discussed some aspects of the curses laid out in Deuteronomy 28.  Now lets look at some of the curses presented in Leviticus 26.  The curses in Leviticus 26 are laid out progressively from bad to worse.  The curse we are seeing right now (in America) is just the beginning:

Punishments for Disobedience

14“However, if you do not listen to me or obey all these commands, 15and if you break my covenant by rejecting my decrees, treating my regulations with contempt, and refusing to obey my commands, 16I will punish you. I will bring sudden terrors upon you—wasting diseases and burning fevers that will cause your eyes to fail and your life to ebb away. You will plant your crops in vain because your enemies will eat them. 17I will turn against you, and you will be defeated by your enemies. Those who hate you will rule over you, and you will run even when no one is chasing you!

18“And if, in spite of all this, you still disobey me, I will punish you seven times over for your sins. 19I will break your proud spirit by making the skies as unyielding as iron and the earth as hard as bronze. 20All your work will be for nothing, for your land will yield no crops, and your trees will bear no fruit.

Just look at the few underlined places in the scripture above:

1.  What do we live in today?  An age of what?  Terrorism.  That would be verse 16.

2.  It has been written here many times in the past that people do not get who they vote for, they get who they deserve.  What do the people of America and this world deserve right now?  To be ruled over by people who hate them.  That would be verse 17.

3.  What is one of the Lord's signature judgements throughout the Bible?  Drought.  Look at the entire American west and in particular California today.  That would be verse 19.

Only God Almighty could have predicted what is happening with such startling accuracy thousands of years in advance.  His Shemitah cycle and Jubilee super-cycle are hitting precisely at a time of super disobedience, wickedness and corruption.

Speaking of cycles and super-cycles we are also seeing a transition from a Gentile cycle into a Jewish one.

Luke 21.24 They will fall by the sword and will be taken as prisoners to all the nations. Jerusalem will be trampled on by the Gentiles until the times of the Gentiles are fulfilled.


All of this business of a Shemitah and Jubilee has a decidedly Jewish flavor to it.  We have been unknowingly witnessing minor cycles bloom into a major cycle.  We are witnessing the end of a Gentile cycle and the emergence of a Jewish cycle.  Thus the prominence today of the Shemitah cycle that has become so obvious that even worldly commentators and making note of it.

 We are entering the time of Jacob's trouble. 

As with the emergence of any major cycle it does not show up one day unannounced.  No, major cycles announce themselves well in advance and they take time to transition.  Unfortunately most people do not pay attention until they are punched squarely in the face by the arrival of the new cycle then they say "who saw this coming?"

Few would debate the fact that Matt 24 is an "end times" chapter of the Bible.  When we look at that chapter what do we see?  Verse 1 Chapter 24 talks about the destruction of the temple.  The temple-decidedly Jewish (not Church centric).  Verse 15-the abomination, where?  The temple, decidedly Jewish (not Church centric).  What are the final 7 years called?  The time of Jacob's trouble-decidedly Jewish (not Church centric).  What are we witnessing this very day?  The transition out of the Gentile cycle into the Jewish cycle as evidenced by among other things the return to prominence of the Shemitah and Jubilee.

Do we see this reflected in the book of Revelation?  You bet we do.  Revelation has 22 chapters.  The church is specifically mentioned by name in Rev 2-3 then it is specifically mentioned no more.

 By the time we reach chapter 7 of 22 chapters the Lord is calling out entirely, completely, wholly Jewish members and tribes.  Again the wave or cycle shifts from Gentile to Jew.

Will there be Christians participating in the time of Jacob's trouble?  Sure but it was not meant for them.  We have the entire New Testament that includes the Words of our Lord Jesus Himself along with all the apostles and nowhere in there do we read about "the time of the Church's trouble?"  No?  Why not?  Because the entire Church age has been the time of the Church's trouble starting with Christians being fed to lions to all the martyr's and saints of Christ being subjected to the most vile treatment known to man up to the present day persecution of Christians throughout the world in every country of the world including America.

We were told to pray for escape because there is an escape from what is coming.

Luke 21:34And take heed to yourselves, lest at any time your hearts be overcharged with surfeiting, and drunkenness, and cares of this life, and so that day come upon you unawares. 35For as a snare shall it come on all them that dwell on the face of the whole earth. 36Watch ye therefore, and pray always, that ye may be accounted worthy to escape all these things that shall come to pass, and to stand before the Son of man.

We were given Noah and Lot as examples:

Luke 17:26And as it was in the days of Noe, so shall it be also in the days of the Son of man. 27They did eat, they drank, they married wives, they were given in marriage, until the day that Noe entered into the ark, and the flood came, and destroyed them all. 28Likewise also as it was in the days of Lot; they did eat, they drank, they bought, they sold, they planted, they builded; 29But the same day that Lot went out of Sodom it rained fire and brimstone from heaven, and destroyed them all. 30Even thus shall it be in the day when the Son of man is revealed.

Did Noah escape all that was about to happen to him?  Yes
Did Lot escape all that was about to happen to him?  Yes

(And they both did it with their families by the way)

So too we are told to pray for escape.  Those who preach and teach that there is no escape from all that is coming are probably right concerning themselves, but not us.  They preach that somebody has to be in the tribulation to convert others etc.  What better people to do it than those who preach it!  (this is just my opinion) but what is not opinion is the Lord blesses and rewards people according to their faith and/or belief.  What we believe or do not believe matters!

Matt 8:13 And Jesus said unto the centurion, Go thy way; and as thou hast believed, so be it done unto thee. And his servant was healed in the selfsame hour.


The time of transition is upon us, it is right at the door.  Starting this year the economy will begin its final descent into oblivion.  What will arise out of the economic ashes will be a system that includes the mark of the beast to be able to buy or sell anything.

We have a hope based on the New Testament promise of Old Testament fact.  Noah and Lot escaped all of what was about to happen to them.  Let us pray as obedient children in accordance with the command given to us by our Lord through the Holy Spirit:

36Watch ye therefore, and pray always, that ye may be accounted worthy to escape all these things that shall come to pass, and to stand before the Son of man.

Time Is Short

Guess what tomorrow is?  3/20/15 and the day of the sackcloth sun/solar eclipse.  Yesterday I was almost overwhelmed with the signals all coming in at once that everything is about to turn upside down.  The stock market and the dollar both saw huge swings yesterday, there have been massive military exercises by both Russia and the United States, the weather is acting up something awful and then this morning I see this:

Things are becoming very clear, very fast.  We have done alot of waiting in the past but it appears that our waiting will be over soon.  Back a few years ago I thought that time was short but events were not anywhere close to as intense as they are today.

Putting dates and times on things has always always always led to failure, by 100% of the people who have predicted a date or time.  We can however suspect that the time is close.  We would have to be fools not to open our eyes at the signs we are seeing today.

And if what was mentioned above was not enough, I also came across this story that went almost unmentioned that related to brother Cahn's teaching about the Shemitah year.  If you dont know what the shemitah is, it can be a blessing or a curse every seven years for a nation.  For the United States it has been an economic curse/judgement every 7 years going back to the 1970's.  This fall will be another shemitah year.  This idea of 7 years is tied into everything from the shemitah, to the tribulation period (7 years) to Pharaoh's dream of 7 lean and 7 fat years.

Pharaoh dreamt of 7 cows that were fat and 7 that were lean or starving, and Joseph interpreted that dream to mean the 7 years of plenty and 7 years of famine right?  Well, this past year on the exact date of the beginning of this shemitah year (9/25) the AP reported on a cow that was born with a 7 on its head!

The only thing the Lord could do to emphasize more to us that what He said was going to happen is going to happen would be to appear physically before us and tell us the time is here.  The time is here.

Its time to make final preparations to meet our master.  Pray, clean up any junk thats hanging around in your life, prepare to meet the Master.  Could we have more time left?  History tells us that nothing will happen for as long as we live, but the signs all around us beg to differ.

Comet ISON: Red Team Analysis

Red teaming in the military and intelligence world is looking at a situation from the enemy's point of view.  Since we are looking at enemy produced material, it must be heavily discounted.

We know for a fact that the enemy has a goal of misinforming us through heavy doses of disinformation.  That said, look at this video and an associated website:

What can we make of this?  The enemy troops believe their 'messiah' is coming and ISON is the sign of his coming.

We saw similar material come out surrounding ELENIN so we will not make the same mistake twice.  Why even present this if we are to heavily discount it?  The signs of the appearance of anti-Christ are everywhere although we are not looking for him.  We are looking for the appearance of Jesus Christ.

2 Thess 2:7For the secret power of lawlessness is already at work; but the one who now holds it back will continue to do so till he is taken out of the way. 8And then the lawless one will be revealed, whom the Lord Jesus will overthrow with the breath of his mouth and destroy by the splendor of his coming. 9The coming of the lawless one will be in accordance with how Satan works. He will use all sorts of displays of power through signs and wonders that serve the lie, 10and all the ways that wickedness deceives those who are perishing. They perish because they refused to love the truth and so be saved. 11For this reason God sends them a powerful delusion so that they will believe the lie 12and so that all will be condemned who have not believed the truth but have delighted in wickedness.

If the appearance of the anti-Christ is soon, the blessed hope must be right at the door.

I know there are many in the world who violently oppose the idea of an escape from all (Luke 21:36) rapture.  These people believe that somehow they are positioned better than we are to deal with the horrors of the tribulation.  If my faith is in Jesus Christ, and I believe that it is His power that sustains me from day to day now, how exactly would that change if I was in error regarding the timing of the rapture?  Would I blame the Lord for my error in judgement?  The same faith that gets the believer in Christ through today would also get them through each day of the tribulation (if we were intended to go through it).

As I see how the end time landscape is developing I understand in greater detail how much faith each individual will need to get through each day.  It is going to take miracle level faith to survive each day.  Why?  No food, no water, an anti-Christ government, an anti-Christ hateful population, the mark of the beast, war, plague, and natural destruction that defies comprehension.  How will anyone survive such an ordeal?  It will take divine power and faith unknown to most in this generation.

The Lord performs miracles today, this brother can testify to that fact.  Over and over and over again the Lord has proven Himself to this nobody so that I can testify to you.  The Lord meant what He said.  His power has not diminished.  His promises are still in effect but who believes enough to receive on those promises?  This nobody who writes to you is the least of the brothers who are in Christ.  Anything and everything done for this nobody can and will be done for you.  Question is, what do you have the faith for?  We receive according to our belief.  That is a Biblical proven fact.

Matthew 8:13 

Then Jesus said to the centurion, "Go! Let it be done just as you believed it would." And his servant was healed at that moment

Or let me ask you if non-believers will inherit the kingdom of heaven?  If they do not believe the promises of salvation will they receive it?  You be the judge.  Likewise, those who have no faith for an escape from all, as it is clearly written in Luke 21:36, will they receive on the promise they have argued against for years?  I am just asking, you decide?  What we believe matters, which is why the enemy desperately tries to destroy our faith in the promises.  The Lord delivers on His promises.....

The Destruction of Babylon

Can you discern the hand of the Lord in current events?  America is Babylon.  The Lord told us that Babylon will be destroyed so utterly that it will be desolate forever.

Jer 51:14The Lord Almighty has sworn by himself:

I will surely fill you with troops, as with a swarm of locusts,

and they will shout in triumph over you.

25“I am against you, you destroying mountain,

you who destroy the whole earth,”declares the Lord.

“I will stretch out my hand against you,

roll you off the cliffs,

and make you a burned-out mountain.

26No rock will be taken from you for a cornerstone,

nor any stone for a foundation,

for you will be desolate forever,”

Look at what is happening, Babylon is provoking the entire world.  Russia and China in particular are not happy with the decisions the King of Babylon makes for Syria.  Even the parliament of Britain voted down a strike against Syria.  If Obama goes ahead with this strike, what will be the outcome?  We do not have to guess, what did the Lord say would happen?  Read Jeremiah 51 and you see what He said.  

Babylon is being isolated in the world.  Every day her enemies grow stronger while she grows weaker.  Look at the economy, look at the divided society, look at the military cuts, look at the immorality of the nation, the acceptance and even promotion of abomination (homosexuality).  Obama met with the LGBT leaders in Russia when he went to the G20, that is America's/Babylon's king promoting Babylon's demise.  Don't point fingers at brother D here for reporting this, what did the Lord do to Sodom and Gomorrah?  Does this nation really believe it can get away with gross blatant willful thumbing of the nose at the Lord?  Does this nation really believe it will be the exception to the consequences of sin?

No, the Lord has spoken and Babylon will be judged HARSHLY.  Read Jeremiah 50-51 for more details.  We are watching with our own eyes the setup for the downfall.  When the Russians of the Chinese flip the switch on some major operation against the U.S. (major cyber attack?  Nuke?) then maybe the people will begin to understand the consequences of their indifference.

What is happening in Syria is American isolation.  The entire world is turning against her.  The King of Babylon digs America's grave and people could care less as they watch it happen.  What is happening before our eyes has nothing whatsoever to do with chemical weapons and everything to do with America's grievous sins.  Where are the 'pastors' and preachers who lead the people to their knees and intercede with the Lord on behalf of the people?  Where is the sackcloth and ashes, the tears and emotional distress before the Lord over the heinous sins of the people?  Where are these religious people who claim to be leaders but keep wool over the eyes of the people.

Let me tell you what current events dictate to the religious leaders.  Repent or perish.  Period.  What is coming is a storm so mindshattering, so severe, so brutal, so unforgiving that it will take your breath away.  The Lord is not amused, He is not 'tolerant', and He is not playing along with the rebellion and wickedness (esp in America).  He has long been silent to men do not fear Him.

Isaiah 42:13The Lord will march out like a champion,

like a warrior he will stir up his zeal;

with a shout he will raise the battle cry

and will triumph over his enemies.

14“For a long time I have kept silent,

I have been quiet and held myself back.

But now, like a woman in childbirth,

I cry out, I gasp and pant.

15I will lay waste the mountains and hills

and dry up all their vegetation;

I will turn rivers into islands

and dry up the pools.

Isaiah 57:11 

... Is it not because I have long been silent that you do not fear me?

Who am I to say such things?  A child of God and a member of the royal household, as are all believers who are "in Christ."  Take my word for nothing, what does the Lord say?  What has already been written?  The sins on the earth are so flagrant and so brazen because people do not believe the Lord will do what He said He would do.  They no longer fear the Lord.  They say "The Lord has not given me a spirit of fear" but they forget the fear of the Lord that a child must have and is written of again and again in the Word.  Our Father is loving and kind but also a righteous judge.  He is the King of Eternity and He will do what He said He would do.  Can't you see it?

Regardless of what does or does not happen in Syria, America/Babylon is being setup for destruction.  The hooks are already in her mouth being led to the slaughter and the people are clueless.

This brother says these things in grief and trembling and fear of the Lord.  The Lord has made it clear to me for decades that He is not playing and destruction is right around the corner.  He does not reckon time the way we do, but we are now seeing the fruit of the promises ripen on the tree.  He who has ears let him hear.

And the signals just keep coming in.  Sounds from the heavens, major earthquakes, wars and rumors of wars, next week is the Feast of Trumpets/Rosh Hashanah, comet ISON is inbound, lunar tetrad and solar eclipses on the Lord's feast days and after that or in that general time from 2015?  Some other large destructive celestial body should be making its presence known.

Times and dates are the things no man can get right, only the Lord knows exactly when things will happen.  The appearance of so many signs around us should have us on high alert.  The Lord told us to be watching at all times and ready.  Ready for what?  His appearance.  No, not the 'second coming' but His appearance in the clouds and the sounding of the trumpet that calls us home, also known as the blessed hope.

What if the Lord calls us all home next week during the feast of trumpets?  How wonderful would that be?  Is it possible?  Oh yes.  That is why year after year we remember the Lord's promise that an escape from all that is about to happen is available to those found worthy of it (Luke 21:36).

36 Be always on the watch, and pray that you may be able to escape all that is about to happen, and that you may be able to stand before the Son of Man.

Your Talents

Yesterday my conversation with the Lord was about the wise and unwise virgins, today it was all about the talents. Read the parable of the talents in Matt 25. What is the message? We are to do something with what the Lord has given us. You don't have to take over the world, just do something. Remember what happened to the servant who buried his talents...

What are you supposed to do? That is between yourself and the Lord. Each of us has different talents and only we and those close to us have any idea of what those talents might be.

Why might this be important? Well, if the destructive earth changes continue unabated into the future, then this world can expect more events like what happened to Japan. Colorado is flooding now, there are fires in Oklahoma now in addition to Arizona, Texas and New Mexico. The entire Mississippi river basin running all the way up to almost our northern border has been flooded. Tornadoes have shredded the south, hurricane season is just getting warmed up, and what's the point? There is no guarantee we will be on this earth to see tomorrow. We might be raptured out tonight, we might die out tonight, who knows? Should this make you fearful? No.

This should be encouragement for you to be ready to meet our Lord Jesus each and every day. What does the parable of the virgins tell us? Those who were ready went in to the wedding....so be watching. The two key words in that parable and all over the place in the gospels is 1. ready and 2. watching.

So how do the talents fit in here? You and I want to be found doing something with the talents we have been given. The Lord expects a return on His investment in us. Each of us has a different gift from the Lord. Find out what it is and put it to work, somehow..some way. The Lord didn't hammer the lazy servant for a small return, He hammered the lazy servant for NO return. The guy buried his talent which means no return on what the Lord had given him. We do not want to be found to be lazy wicked unprofitable servants.

We need to be watching and ready. The parable talents has to do with our readiness. Are we doing something with what we have been given? If we find ourselves standing before the Lord very soon, how will we give an account for ourselves. Do not put this off. It would be wise to think about this now, and do something about this now. We have no idea how many days we have left here. We need to make the most of the time we have remaining. The counsel you are reading from this writer today is good counsel regardless when the Lord comes for us. If He shows up for us sooner rather than later you will be very glad that you did what the Lord told us to do in Matt 25.

What do we see in Matt 25? The virgins (and wedding), the talents, then the judgement. We are the virgins, preparing for a wedding, by using our talents in the Lords service so we fare well in the judgement. See the 1,2,3 there? That is exactly how the Lord laid out Matt 25 for us.

A bride preparing for a wedding is full of joy and happiness with overflowing expectation for good things. A bride preparing for a wedding has no thoughts of being married so she can endure hell on earth (the tribulation) in order to enjoy life with her husband. This is not deep thinking folks, this is common sense on a level that a child could figure it out. This is childlike thinking, and if any of us has hopes of entering the gates of heaven we better get rid of all our so called "christian" education and learning and hear and receive the pure milk that is the Word of God. Where do I get this idea?

Mark 10:15

... I tell you the truth, anyone who doesn't receive the Kingdom of God like a child will never enter it."

What are the other parts of our readiness? Obviously faith, obviously obedience. If you love me you will obey my commands...who said that?

John 14:15

"If you love me, you will obey what I command. .

What does the Lord say about faith? Lots of things but here is one of them:

Hebrews 11:6

And without faith it is impossible to please God, because anyone who comes to him must believe that he exists and that he rewards those who earnestly seek him.

Its time to get ready. If the tribulation begins this fall its a good time to be watching and ready today. If the rapture occurs this fall its a good time to be watching and ready today. If neither the rapture nor the tribulation occur this year, its a good time to be watching and ready today because nobody ever guaranteed us another living breathing day here.
