I'm not the only one saying theres a storm coming...
Things could get really bad before they get better. Really, really bad. But you'll never know what's coming by watching the Dow every day -- it's a terrible indicator. In fact, the four largest percentage gains in the Dow's history happened between 1929 and 1933, a period that wasn't exactly a great time to buy.
What we're experiencing right now are the outer bands of a hurricane with an eye that likely won't hit us for another year or two. In the meantime, there will be plenty of sunny days, but they'll just distract us from what's coming. Stay focused on what your gut tells you is still churning just offshore.
As you wait, do what those in the path of a real hurricane do: prepare. Build an emergency cash fund, store some extra food, learn a new skill, consult a financial adviser ... do anything that will get you and your family ready. Just don't panic.

Laugh if you want to..there's a storm coming. Time is short. When I say time is short, I have no idea what that means, one month?, one week?, one year? I don't know how much time we have left before the escape and the tribulation starts. I do know that time is short. The guy above-Glen Beck- has alot of worldly advice regarding preparedness. Since we don't know how much time is left, and we don't know which outer bands of the hurricane coming we'll go through, some worldly preparedness is not a bad idea. With that said, I've asked the Lord many times whether or not I should start going hard core with emergency preparedness equipment, survival plans etc. Each time I ask, I believe the answer has been NO. I like the way Mr. Beck likens whats coming to a hurricane, thats a perfect metaphor for it.
We know that theres an escape from all thats about to happen coming (luke 21:36). Escape from all means the entire tribulation. Question is, how bad will things get before the tribulation starts? As things stand today, we've got about 160,000 people per month losing their jobs, retirement accounts being wiped out by the wall street bankers, people can't feed their families. If you asked them how bad things can get, I think they'd say 'pretty bad.' On the other hand, what did Jesus say the day would be like when he came back? He said it would be like the days of Noah, people were eating and drinking, marrying and giving in marriage. He paints a picture of a normal day. Just as important as what he said the day would be like is what he did'nt say. He did'nt say it would be a time of revolution, people starving, plague etc. This is an important thing to note from a timing standpoint. As we slide deeper and deeper into this economic morass, things WILL get significantly worse. People won't be eating and drinking, they'll be dying of starvation, there will be riots in the cities because of the lack of everything, gas food etc. What does that mean?
In order for Jesus to come back on a day like before the flood, one of three things must happen, either:
1. Jesus will come back in the immediate near term future before things get much worse. On the trajectory we're on today, things are about to get MUCH WORSE. Entire systems that hold the way of life together as you know it are about to collapse. That will start a domino effect that will turn the world on its head over a VERY short period of time. This is the path we're on right now.
or
2. Things stabilize at todays levels. For many people, aside from their fears, life goes on as usual. Somehow the downward trajectory is reigned in and leveled out. If things stabilize at todays levels, things will be bad, but life will retain some semblance of normalcy.
or
3. The Lord (because he IS GOD) could pull some kind of miracle out of the hat to improve the world situation dramatically since HIS TIME has not come yet. In other words, he's not quite ready to pull the plug on this place, so he props it up until he is ready.
I get the feeling right now that we have a little more time left before he pulls the plug. Hear me though, we are to be watching and ready TODAY, regardless of how much time is left. Our watchfulness and preparedness must remain unfazed by anything. I plan to keep my watching and readiness HIGH every day, and on the fall feast days on the Jewish calender, I plan to bump by watchfulness and readiness to EXTREME. The fall feast days have not been literally fulfilled yet, the next one is Rosh Hashanah 2009. Until then, I expect that Jesus could come back any day, maybe today. Increasing readiness and watchfulness during Rosh Hashanah makes alot of sense to me, if it does'nt to you, blow it off. The bottom line is this, whatever you have to do to stay motivated, to stay ready, to remain watching, thats what you need to do. Scoffers and mockers are EVERYWHERE. Where is the promise of his coming they say? Gosh, that sounds awfully familiar.....
2 Peter 3 >>Knowing this first, that there shall come in the last days scoffers, walking after their own lusts, 4 And saying, Where is the promise of his coming? for since the fathers fell asleep, all things continue as they were from the beginning of the creation. 5 For this they willingly are ignorant of, that by the word of God the heavens were of old, and the earth standing out of the water and in the water: 6 Whereby the world that then was, being overflowed with water, perished: 7 But the heavens and the earth, which are now, by the same word are kept in store, reserved unto fire against the day of judgment and perdition of ungodly men.
8 But, beloved, be not ignorant of this one thing, that one day is with the Lord as a thousand years, and a thousand years as one day. 9 The Lord is not slack concerning his promise, as some men count slackness; but is longsuffering to us-ward, not willing that any should perish, but that all should come to repentance.
10 But the day of the Lord will come as a thief in the night; in the which the heavens shall pass away with a great noise, and the elements shall melt with fervent heat, the earth also and the works that are therein shall be burned up.
11 Seeing then that all these things shall be dissolved, what manner of persons ought ye to be in all holy conversation and godliness, 12 Looking for and hasting unto the coming of the day of God, wherein the heavens being on fire shall be dissolved, and the elements shall melt with fervent heat? 13 Nevertheless we, according to his promise, look for new heavens and a new earth, wherein dwelleth righteousness.
14 Wherefore, beloved, seeing that ye look for such things, be diligent that ye may be found of him in peace, without spot, and blameless. 15 And account that the longsuffering of our Lord is salvation; even as our beloved brother Paul also according to the wisdom given unto him hath written unto you; 16 As also in all his epistles, speaking in them of these things; in which are some things hard to be understood, which they that are unlearned and unstable wrest, as they do also the other scriptures, unto their own destruction. 17 Ye therefore, beloved, seeing ye know these things before, beware lest ye also, being led away with the error of the wicked, fall from your own stedfastness. 18 But grow in grace, and in the knowledge of our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ. To him be glory both now and for ever. Amen.
Gosh, I was'nt even looking for it, but here we go, another bodyslam to the once saved always saved crowd beware lest ye also, being led away with the error of the wicked, fall from your own stedfastness
What does he mean "fall from your own stedfastness?" I thought we could'nt fall from our own steadfastness? Aparently Paul thinks we can, and warns us of the fact that we CAN fall from our stedfastness. Hell will be SWOLLEN with the souls of those who believed the 'once saved always saved' lie, and paid for it with their eternal soul. OSAS is a poison arrow through the heart, its a noose around your neck, its a LOADED gun with the barrel pointed at the temple of your head. OSAS WILL get you killed. We are at WAR, this is not a game. We are at war with sin, with the flesh and with the devil. Once people who are stuggling against sin, and against the flesh are given the OSAS lie, it makes it SO easy to give in to sin after sin after sin. Why? Well, their pastor assured them that they'd still be saved, even if they sinned, over and over and over again. Your hired hand babylonian pastor tells you that you are saved forever once you 'make a decision' your bible tells you THE WAGES OF SIN IS DEATH. Who are you going to believe? Your 'pastor' or your bible? Your decision may save your eternal soul....or lose it. That's a warning.
You and I have been given this day, today, to do what may be done for the kingdom of God. I asked the Lord a couple days ago whether he wanted me to stop blogging and do something else for him, "what do you want me to do Lord?" He immediately answered me. I don't know why, but he likes to answer my questions with questions of his own. He replied "WHAT IS IN YOUR HEART TO DO FOR ME?" It rang through clear as a bell. Maybe you can ask yourself the same question: what is in your heart to do for him? Anything you do, and I mean anything, that moves the kingdom forward will be credited to you. We work for our masters glory. Thats what this is all about: HIS GLORY. We are IN HIM, HE IS IN US, we are ONE. Think about that for a second, some of us will sit on Christs throne WITH HIM...IN HIM.
Rev 3:21 To him that overcometh will I grant to sit with me in my throne, even as I also overcame, and am set down with my Father in his throne. 22 He that hath an ear, let him hear what the Spirit saith unto the churches.
Do you have any idea how big that is? Sit on his throne? Yea, thats what he said. You have no idea how mindblowingly good things are going to be for us on some day coming soon, but first things first. We have to take care of business here and now, today. Our business is being yielded to his Spirit, that his will may be done in us, and through us. We must make it our pleasure to do his will. THY WILL BE DONE FATHER, THY WILL BE DONE. Thy kingdom come. Yes and AMEN. grace and peace
