Consider the treatment Trump has been getting from the press then pan your mental camera back thousands of years ago to when Jesus walked the earth and imagine CNN was covering this event:
Mark 2:16 And when the scribes and Pharisees saw him eat with publicans and sinners, they said unto his disciples, How is it that he eateth and drinketh with publicans and sinners?
What's happening here^^? Sounds like a scandal! Jesus eating with the outcasts, the dregs of society? Sounds like a scandal to run coverage on 24/7. Just imagine what they would be saying.
How about this one?
Luke 7:36 uOne of the Pharisees asked him to eat with him, and he went into the Pharisee’s house and reclined at table. 37 vAnd behold, a woman of the city, who was a sinner, when she learned that he was reclining at table in the Pharisee’s house, brought an alabaster flask of ointment, 38 and standing behind him at his feet, weeping, she began to wet his feet with her tears and wwiped them with the hair of her head and kissed his feet and anointed them with the ointment. 39 Now when the Pharisee who had invited him saw this, he said to himself, “If xthis man were ya prophet, he zwould have known who and what sort of woman this is who is touching him, for she is a sinner.”
There is speculation that this Mary figure was actually a prostitute^^? Do we know that for sure? No. What we know for sure is she was female and a known sinner in the community. Now imagine ABC/NBC/CNN covering this story on the Son of God having His feet washed by a woman like this? Can you imagine the depths of depravity they would go to in telling that story?
What's the point of all this? The point is, the same world that crucified Jesus 2000 or so years ago would do it again in a heartbeat. If you think this world's treatment of Trump is bad, imagine what they would say about our Lord Jesus Christ who would be telling them to their face, without apology that their ways are sinful. This little thought exercise also explains why our Lord wrote this to us:
Matt 24:30 And then shall appear the sign of the Son of man in heaven: and then shall all the tribes of the earth mourn, and they shall see the Son of man coming in the clouds of heaven with power and great glory.
The Lord has done us a great service in exposing all the sleeper agents in our society. He has drawn them out to show everyone what lies just under the surface of their civilized veneer. These people are full of venomous hatred on a scale that should take your breath away. They have murder in their heart and every day that goes by draws this evil out of them a little further. We are seeing it all around us. We are being shown just how sickening evil really is. Instead of evil being considered something legally bad according to the Word of God but "good" in practice we are getting a front row seat on how ugly, wicked, murderous and depraved it really is. School is in session and we need to be taking notes.
We are to be kings and priests in the future. We, with our Lord are to rule with a rod of iron.
Rev 2:26And he that overcometh, and keepeth my works unto the end, to him will I give power over the nations: 27And he shall rule them with a rod of iron; as the vessels of a potter shall they be broken to shivers: even as I received of my Father. 28And I will give him the morning star. 29He that hath an ear, let him hear what the Spirit saith unto the churches.
You can be sure that this writer will be reviewing notes on what this world is doing and why they are doing it to make sure it never happens again.....I think that's been the point of allowing us to see this all along.
